Fifty years ago, the moon turned pale blue and people gained strange abilities--uncontrollable running speed, strength, healing ability and whatnots that everybody imagined at least once in their childhood. But not everybody was chosen. According to statistics, only 28% of the population gained these strange powers and were labelled 'freaks.'

That was until five years ago, when seven young 'freaks' who went on a mass murder rampage which resulted in a war, and of course, there was no way guns and bombs could win over the unexplained.

Now, the 'chosens' were considered superior over the 'norms,' politically and socially.

But not every 'chosens' were agressive or controlling. There were some who still cared for the 'norms' for different personal reasons whether those were from norm family members or lovers or just love of peace. Ahn Ahmee's job involved harvesting small bits of those caring chosens' powers in small candies and selling them to norms who needed it to protect themselves. She was the broker. The middleman. Some called her the candy lady.

And, it sure paid a lot.
