Welcome Road

Junhoe, Junhoe, Junhoe, Junhoe, Junhoe!

Her whole life was all about Junhoe. When Junhoe smiled it felt like Heavens shined upon he soul. He was amazing, his laughter sounded like strings of a violin being played by a maestro. His boyishness and carefreeness where even more tantalizing than his handsome features and intimidating aura that she originally fell in love with. I

She thought she could not love again since her relationship experiences always ended up forcing her into sadness and melancholy but when she laid eyes one day on him she knew she was screwed now forever and he here she was, head over heels all over him and his heavenly smiles.

For a long time, she decided to forget all about her past and also was determined to rid herself of anything that would remind her of her past which consequently meant that she would give up her dream of playing the piano and composing tracks. She finally decided that she loved nothing else more than art, so she eventually decided to join a workshop called "The Art of Poesie" to learn more about poetry and the beauty of manipulating words.

before her workshop, there was a karate school, from which extremely handsome young boys. One day when she was extremely disappointed in a poem she had written that she liked very much but no one approved of it, she met the smile of the handsome, all sweaty Junhoe. It wasn't the time when the class would actually end. But Junhoe was out there to meet one of his friends. She, too, was out of her workshop earlier than expected. It felt like the working of fate, really.

She stared at him for so long that even Junhoe noticed from afar that he was being watched, so he looked in her direction only to find out that he was, indeed, being watched. He felt awkward when he caught her studying him hard, so his smile died down a bit, and he too studied her. He found her dressed tomboyishly, he frowned a bit, but then smiled to her widely and turned to his friend again.

She was taken aback, both by his smile and her courage to stare at him for so long even though he caught her. She felt she was blessed though, she smiled to herself and walked away.

She found herself looking forward to going to the workshop twice a week in order to see him. But one day, she felt like she has had enough of only watching him from afar so she went up to him immediately after he walked out of his school and tinyily stood beside him until he noticed her existence beside him.  He was taken aback when he found her so close to him,  but she still smiled eagerly up to him.

"Tsk, you are so boyfriend material, real talk," She creepily said, she actually looked like a total stalker at the moment but Junhoe was flattered when she said so.

"Oh, thank you," He awkwardly smiled at her and looked back at his friend who wasn't aware of what was happening so that they could start walking again.

She felt extremely relieved after half-confessing to him but still felt somewhat awkward and disappointed.

After that incident, Junhoe became aware of her existence, and every Sunday and Wednesday, he found her on the other side of the street, holding her notebooks and looking at himــــnever trying once to draw her boldness in and stop staring for at least when he looks at her.

After a few weeks, Junhoe himself found himself looking forward to seeing her after every class. It wasn't until one day she wasn't able to make to class since she was very sick, that he found himself worried about her and that was when he decided that he would make the first step this time.

So, the next class, he immediately approached her after finishing his class, he was still wearing his uniform and was all sweaty because he wanted to make sure she didn't leave before he finishes changing his clothes.

She was still sick but she was enthusiastic to see him, however, her face was pale and told Junhoe from afar that she was otherwise, so he hesitated at first because she did even look his way and looked as she was about to leave but then he decided that he would go because it was a now or never matter.

When he approached her she didn't notice him coming her way but when she did, she was surprised and almost dropped her notebook down. Her heart began beating crazily and her breaths hitched several times, the more he walked towards her, the more handsome he became. It was a heavenly moment, full of sparks and butterflies. She felt like there was fog all around her and handsomeness was nowhere to be found due to her dreaminess and unconciousness of the moment.

Junhoe, on the other hand, was fully aware of the situation and he was enjoying every bit of the development of her reaction.

All of a sudden, when he stood before her, he frowned for a couple of seconds, causing her stomach to flip over all over again. Worriedness began to fuel her blood and she found herself clutching her notebook tightly. Junhoe then brought something from behind his back and after what felt like ages, she recognized the thing in his hand to be a flower, a daisy, indeed.

He then, smiled widely all of a sudden, washing all of her worries away, and cocked his head to the side trying to look as cute as possible while blinking repeatedly fastly.

“Let’s do it,” He tsked and lowered his head to look at her feet while biting his lower lip so it was no longer visible. ”Date, I mean.”

It took her a long while to understand the situation but when she did, she found herself squeaking in happiness, totally forgetting about her sickness and pain. She threw her notebook and with it, she threw her hands in the air and threw herself on Junhoe. Junhoe quickly gave into her embrace, he wasn't even that surprised to find her hugging him out of nowhere, he just knew she was this bold, and actually had those guts. They didn't even know each other's names but she was smiling like there was no tomorrow while his loud laughter rang a bell in her heart and radiated happiness into every passerby's world.

He was warm, she was cold. He was tall, she was short. He was bold, she was weak. He smelt amazing, she smelt like medicine. But all in all, he was carefree, she was carefree. He was bold in his own way, she was bold in her own way. And in short he was happy, she was happy.

Reminiscing the old memories of the beginning of her weird relationship with Junhoe, she smiled proudly while she shook the past memories of other confessions she had experienced off her mind. She now didn’t regret any of her wrongdoings nor did she lament any of the happenings in her 20s life, because without them, she would have never been able to meet the one who would  make her 30s worth living and worth remembering in the future.

Contently, she grabbed her notebook, after placing her photoalbum and mug on the tea table and taking a quick glance at Junhoe handsomely concentrating on a piece of cloth that he had been trying to fix all day. She grabbed her pen and wore her cloth of creativity and began writing, every once in a while stealing a glance of Junhoe.

Dear Junhoe,

My years with you are the blessed times I have never wished for,

Not because I didn't want them, but because they felt too good to be true.

Without you, the sea threw me like a lonely seashell on the shore,

But because of you, I never even saw, anymore, the color blue

You know why? Because you knew I didn't belong there, in the sea

You embraced me, understood me and knew that I belonged to another world, where I can only be free.
