Double Date

She has a BF [Unfinished]

Sup readers, this chapter is pretty meh but I owe you guys an update. Although I definitely shouldn’t update during my finals, here it is. Hope you guys like it :)))

________

Sana didn't know how to feel about what was to come in the next few hours. She wasn't sure how to deal with the fact that she was going to have a date with Tzuyu. Even though she had clarified things with Tzuyu on how girlfriend was actually just a  girl (space)  friend, it was still a date.

A date with the gorgeous volleyball athlete. A long awaited outing with the foreigner. Sure it was fully platonic, but Sana could still insert some romantic actions during the movie. Jeongyeon being there with Nayeon won't stop her from acting how she usually does with the girl of her interest (or at least that's what she believes).

If they weren't there it would've been perfect, just her and Tzuyu. Enjoying whatever genre of movie would be playing on screen. If it was a horror film, the literature major would purposely cling after. If it was a sad one, she would do the same or maybe comfort Tzuyu if she were to cry. Oh the possibilities! And it was going to happen in about an hour.

Feeling nothing but excitement, the girl has been ready to go since she got home. All dolled up for her athlete of interest waiting patiently in the living-room of her apartment and imagining possible scenarios of the night in her head.

Her roommates stared at her amusedly as they usually did these days. Sana had been more chipper ever since meeting the infamous volley-ball recruit they've heard so much about from her. Half of it came from her sleep talking. The literature major had been giggling in the middle of the night, cooing at Tzuyu's numerous attributes and habits. At first it was rather creepy and left the other two with nightmares. Now it was something they secretly filmed for the future, like blackmail material (cue the evil laughter).

"Seeing her like this really wants to make me meet up with that athlete" Momo stated with a smirk while bringing her eyes to Mina, who snapped a few pictures of a smiley Sana.

"I'm also curious about this girl" She replied softly while reviewing the photos of their bestie. "Hopefully she's a good person, not like all of her exes"

"Well it's not her fault she at choosing partners, she has a whole line waiting and she still manages to pick the s" The dancing major snickered. Sana had the tiest of luck when it came to romantic relationships.

A soft knock on the door caught the two girl's attention while the other one was still daydreaming in her little bubble. At first they thought they heard wrong until another few knocks happened again. "You expecting someone?"

Mina shook her head then headed to the entrance of their apartment and unlocked the door. She came face to face with a tall and tanned beauty that stood there looking somewhat nervous.

"Can I help you?"

"Uh.. I-I came for Sana-unnie" The stranger stammered our with a thick accent.

Ah, was this the foreigner Sana was losing her mind over? Speak of the devil..."Tzuyu?"

The girl nodded while letting out a soft 'yes'.

"Aah I see, come in!" Mina welcomes her inside with friendly smile. "Sana! Your date is here!"

"WHAT?!" The girl almost fell off the couch. Why was Tzuyu here? Nayeon said they'd all meet up at a fast food joint near the cinema. Not that she minded, the literature major was just heavily unprepared. I'm fear of looking like and idiot, Sana needed a solid five minutes of thinking before talking with Tzuyu.

"Now now, is that how we greet guest in our humble abode?" Momo asked mockingly, enjoying how flustered her roommate was looking.

Sana simply ignored them, her eyes fixated on Tzuyu. Thinking about how good the girl looked in a simple pair of ripped jeans and an over-sized hoodie of the volleyball sports team. Beautifully breathtaking as usual. "H-Hi, why did you drop by so suddenly?"

"Nayeon-unnie told me to... come for you" The athlete articulated slowly as she stayed near the entrance, seeming too shy to come inside.

Sana wasn't sure if she should warmly embrace Nayeon for this or kill her next time they were both alone. Either way, she smiled warmly at her favourite foreigner. How could she not when she looked so cute?

"Did I bother?"

"Ayyy you didn't bother anyone Tzuyu, any friend of Sana's is welcome here" Momo joined in on the conversation, knowing that the two would just stare at each for ours without uttering a word. "For a price"

"Price?" The foreigner slowly repeated, not sure about what Momo meant. She instinctively brought her eyes to her favourite translator.

Sana was quick to protest the dancer's words. "Don't listen to her Tzuyu, she's nuts"

The athlete frowned at the expression, getting even more confused. "Nuts? Like the ones you eat?"

"Well I look quite delicious to eat" She winked in a flirtatious manner towards Tzuyu who still didn't get what was going on.

"...what?"

Mina eyes the athlete before raising a brow towards the literature major. She slipped into Japanese, in order to irk Sana even more. "You have good taste in women, she's pretty cute"

That irked the squirrel more than she would like to admit. How dare she ogle her Tzuyu like that?

"That's it!" Sana threw her hands in the air in defeat before grabbing her bag and gently pushing a lost Tzuyu out the door. "We're leaving! See you guys later!"

"Uh what?"

"Nothing Chewy, let's go"

"Stay safe kids! Use protection!" Momo hollered as Sana hurriedly dragged Sana further down the main hallway.

They faintly heard the youngest innocently ask the question 'why would we need protection' which made Mina and the raccoon snicker. Sana's new love interest wasn't so bad. She seemed perfect, perfect to annoy Sana with. The girls had juicy embarrassing stories to share.

Meanwhile, Sana somehow managed to keep her cool while linking arms with Tzuyu. Clinging onto the athlete as they directed themselves towards the nearest bus stop. Sana wanted to dig herself a hole and bury herself alive. Her friends were insufferable at times. They were lucky Tzuyu was there, if not she would've given them the classic one, two! punch combo. Maybe add in an uppercut and a sprinkle of aggressive arm pinching. Needless to say, Sana wanted to smack them.

"Um unnie?"

"Huh?" Sana lifted her face from the floor and looked up at Tzuyu.

"You're squeezing my arm too hard"

"Oh gosh! I'm sorry Tzuyu-ah" The literature major was quick to release Tzuyu and massage the area she was gripping. Concentrated on trying to soothe the arm of her crush's arm, Sana didn't notice the flustered look on the athlete's face. "I was irritated at my roommates and I didn't realize I was squeezing you, I'm sorry~ Do you forgive me?"

With the way she cutely looked up at Tzuyu, her hands still gently massaging her arm, how could the girl say no? She simply nodded her head and avoided eye contact.

Cute

"W-what type of movie do you want to watch, unnie?"

"Me? " She simply shrugged in response, the reality of their outing was that she wouldn't watch what she wanted, mostly because of Jeongyeon and Nayeon. "I have thought about a few movies but I don't think we'll end up watching them at all"

"Hm? Why not?"

"Jeongyeon and Nayeon always get what they want, so we'll be watching either Disney or really stupid movies"

"Ahhh, I see" The athlete smiled softly while internally anticipating the movie they were going to see. Disney sounded pretty nice.

Sana's lips mimicked Tzuyu's as they quietly waited for the bus to arrive. Although she was no longer cutting off the blood flow of her crush's arm, they still kept their arms linked together, sticking rather close to one another. These past few days, the duo grew closer to each other. They slowly got accustomed to each other's presence with all the tutoring and bonding time the two spent together. They just never really showed how close they were when in public, today seemed to be a little different.

It was very nice, however, Sana was growing slightly worried about their growing proximity. She was good friends with Tzuyu which in itself wasn't bad, what was bad was that Sana liked her more than a friend. If Tzuyu were to forever label her as a good friend the literature major would have a tough time digesting that potential fact. There was also the possibility of the athlete being wooed by someone else if Sana kept on stalling. She was a very attractive girl, the foreign recruit most likely had a lot of suitors just waiting for an opportunity to get close. Sana had to start making moves or at least stand out as a suitor.

* * *

Jeongyeon sat cooly while sipping her iced coffee through a straw, staring hard at the entrance of a popular fast food joint. Her short hair was pulled back in a low ponytail while her spectacles  remained perched on her nose. If she stared any longer at the  door it would probably melt. Nayeon simply sat back, somewhat slouched on her seat as she scrolled through her social media feed. The girl didn't bother trying to start a conversation with her lover. The girl was too deadset on seeing if Sana was fit for Tzuyu.

Nayeon had told Jeong time and time again that it was a miss translation on Tzuyu's part and it caused a misunderstanding but she wouldn't listen. Jeongyeon wasn't stupid, something was going on between those two. Judging from what Tzuyu said, it was rather odd that friends would hang out that much. Late night calls and texts, plus way too many 'study meetings'. It was suspicious. One of them had to like the other more than a friend for this to happen right? Or was she just paranoid? Either way, Jeong was going to observe the two like a hawk today. Sure, there was no harm in those two liking each other but she couldn't help but feel protective over the maknae of her team.

"You can stop staring at the door you know, it won't make them arrive faster" Nayeon stated while still keeping her eyes on the phone.

"I want to see how close they are when they enter"

"Jeong please, we're paying to see the movies not them. Stop staring so hard, they'll be here soon"

Jeongyeon's brown eyes finally gaze upon who she's been waiting to see for the past ten minutes, because yes, she did spend ten minutes staring at a door. "Well I'm not gonna be staring at the door anymore since they're here now"

With that said, the theatre major raised her head and nearly cooed at the sight of Sana and Tzuyu who still had linked arms. "You gotta admit they look pretty cute together, a very good looking couple"

"Over my dead body" The volleyball captain scoffed while putting down her coffee.

Her girlfriend ignored her and smiled brightly at the approaching duo "Took you guys long enough"

"Hey! We're here earlier than the promised time" Sana replied with a pout, still holding Tzuyu's arm. Nayeon was definitely intrigued of the duo's position. The squirrel didn't seem shy and Tzuyu didn't seem bothered by it either.

"Yeah sure, but look at you being all lovey dovey with the maknae huh? Pretty sure you spent too much time looking in her eyes" The bunny teased while wriggling her brows which made Sana whine cutely.

"What's up with everyone teasing me today?" She kept her cute pout as she subtly let go of the taiwanese girl. "It's like I'm today's target or something"

"Target?" Tzuyu asked softly like she always did with words she was unsure of. It looked very cute and everyone in that fast food join were a witness of that.

"Yeah, like everyone is aiming at her" Jeongyeon started off as she stood up from her chair "Sort of like attacking the opponent"

Nayeon gave Jeong a mean look after she emphasized a few words while Sana silently gulped. She almost forgot that the shorthaired girl wasn't very fond of her right now.

Meanwhile, Tzuyu didn't notice the odd atmosphere surrounding them and acted as she usually did. "Aaaah, I see"

The volleyball captain made her way to throw away her finished coffee as well as her girlfriend's trash. "Wanna order something before we go? It's cheaper to buy here, the movie staff are too lazy to tell us we can't bring outside food"

"Sure" The tallest of the group went to the cashier while squinting at the menu. Although she's been in korea for a few months she still had a little difficulty with reading, mostly because she had a small word bank.

Tzuyu stared blankly at all the options, mostly zeroing in on the pictures rather than what was written on the screens. She stared at the cashier for a second or two before turning towards the other three girls to as for a little help. The trio looked concetrated on their conversation and Tzuyu decided not to bother them for something so little. She turned back to the patient cashier who didn't seem to mind one bit.

"C-can I get a...that?" The Taiwanese girl asked hesitantly while pointing at one of the drinks on the menu. She wasn't sure which one of the lines represented the item but hopefully the cashier would understand what she wanted. "Pink one"

The cashier followed her finger "Strawberry milkshake?"

"Is that the pink one?"

"Yeah, it's sweet and creamy too" He added to his answer, aiming to help Tzuyu out.

"I-I'll take that then" She replied a little unsure of her order. Tzuyu was pracically going with the flow of things, avoiding to talk more than she needed to.

"Got it" With that said he went to do his job. He was rather quick, it didn't take much time for him to come back with her pink milkshake and a smile. "Here you go, you don't need to pay"

"Huh?"

"It's on the house from me" The cashier repeated once more, keeping a bright smile on his face. It was a rather charming one at that.

"Why?"

"Because I'll pay for it" He send a wink her way after jotting down his phone number on a napkin. "Just don't forget to give me a call if you're interested"

"Oh" Tzuyu was left speechless while taking her order, her cheeks turning red from the unexpected flirting of the cashier. It wasn't the first time something like this happened but the athlete was far from getting used to it. She gave a meek 'thank you' before quickly walking towards her sunbaes. Her eyes remained fixed on the napkin as her friends told her the plan for the night.

Park Jinyoung

The athlete turned her head to find the cashier still smiling her way. She was quick to turn her head to the group to avoid blushing once more. While Tzuyu believed her friends didn't notice, Sana definitely did and she wasn't liking it one bit. The literature major unconsciously glared at the guy and cling to Tzuyu's arm once more. Sana didn't let go until they were inside the movie theatre, ready to watch a horror movie chosen by the one and only Yoo Jeongyeon.

Needless to say, there was a lot of clinging and screaming from two particular people and Tzuyu definitely wasn't one of them.

***

"Well that was interesting" Jeongyeon stated while buckling her belt. She looked up at the rear view mirror to stare at the passengers she had in the back seat. "Don't you guys think so?"

A scoff was heard from her right "I nearly shat my pants"

"Me too!" Sana chimed in with a whiney tone and her usual cute pout.

Tzuyu simply shrugged her shoulders when Jeong's eyes landed on hers. She didn't have much to say. The main antagonist was disgusting to look at and the victims were so stupid that it hurt. The  most entertaining part of the movie was Nayeon and Sana screeching like there was no tomorrow at the slightest jump-scare. "It wasn't so bad, because Nayeon-unnie and Sana-unnie made more entertaining"

"Yah! How was our suffering entertaining to you?! Are you a sadist or something?"

A sadist? Tzuyu gave Jeongyeon a questioning look through the mirror and the latter gave her a nod. "I guess I am?"

Judging on how Sana and the theatre major choked on air, the foreigner probably shouldn't have trusted her teammate. "Did I say anything bad?"

"Oh, no, no, you're fine. It's the ostrich that deserves a beating" Nayeon stated as she smacked her lover's shoulder.

"Me? You're the one that used the word, not me. You should know better than to say such inappropriate words in front of the maknae"

"You're saying it's my fault?! YAH!!"

The couple kept bickering at each other while the other two silently observed them. Tzuyu didn't understand much meanwhile Sana enjoyed the show. With nothing interesting to do, the youngest found herself staring at the literature major's profile. It somehow turned into a habit of hers whenever she was bored or was lost in the korean language.

The maknae couldn't help but stare at the girl, she was just that pretty and cute. It made her feel things she didn't know how to describe yet. The way her eyes would sparkle at anything that caught her attention or how she'd giggle after doing something clumsy. Sana was unbearably adorable and Tzuyu's heart seemed to like skipping beats whenever she heard her name being called.

Tzuyu, Chewy, Tzuyu-ah, it made her melt inside.

The Japanese girl turned her head, catching Tzuyu staring at her rather intensely. "Tzuyu-ah? Is something wrong?"

The volleyball player simply shook her head with a smile and ended up saying something she didn't expect to come out of her. "I was just thinking that we should watch a movie, just us"

Did I just say that?

Sana let out a shy 'oh', not expecting to get asked out like that from the youngest. It wasn't her type to propose something like that out of the blue. Thank god it wasn't too, if Tzuyu did this more often Sana would have a hefty hospital bill for all the she'd have.

"I'd love to watch a movie with you Chewy, just not another horror movie...please"

The youngest chuckled at that "Sure"

"Do you pinky promise?" Sana lifted her hand while sticking out her pinky childishly.

Very cute

"I promise" Tzuyu sealed the deal with her pinky as well, enjoying the small smile that was formed on Sana's face.

"Oy, lovebirds! Now's not the time to be flirting in my car! And stop touching each other"

Luckily for the foreigner duo, their blush was camouflaged by the darkness inside the vehicle.
