“You’ve grown up quite well.”
The tree was in full bloom with green leaves covering every inch of the brown branches. It provided solid cover from the sun if anyone wished, only allowing a few rays to peek through. Seungwan didn’t know the full height of the tree, she honestly never did, but it must have been at least four times taller than her and she knew it would only grow more. The green leaves were already starting to transform its color into something special.
“I never really considered a day like this would come.”
Seungwan was once again alone, but gripping a familiar black cap tightly. She used to treat it with the utmost care, but her emotions drove her actions far more than any logic could at the moment, plus she had a mission in mind.
“It’s a shame I won’t be able to see your red leaves again, but maybe it is for the best. I’m starting to hate the color red, I’ve seen it far too many times.”
The girl who was once filled with life and made everyone around her smile needed that kind of person in her own life. Science said she was still in her infancy stages of growth but circumstances demanded maturity beyond her age. She can’t change history, a harsh lesson that was pounded into her.
