when we meet again some time in the future (i won't let our love rust away)

Description

when they kissed it tasted like the ash of a kingdom burnt to the ground years ago

or;

kim yongsun is a shaman determined to protect her kingdom and moon byulyi wants to burn everything to the ground

or;

three times byulyi sees yongsun and the one time she doesn't

Foreword

Silla is a real kingdom during the Three kingdoms period of Korea.
Kaya was annexed by Shilla in the sixth century after aiding a neighboring kingdom, Baekche, in a war.
During this time women had more rights and some even fought so I took the liberty of having Moon Byulyi be a soldier here and she's open about her gender.
Also Korea was sort of transitioning into Buddhism but still had strong shamanistic elements in its religious tradition. Hence the importance of the whole shamanism element in the fic.

Chapter 1: You have a way with words and it's so, so beautiful I could cry all week. Thank you for this, author. ♥️

Chapter 1: Wow the vivid background painted with relatively few words is amazing. In a few simple demarcated paragraphs you brought the readers through the years and progress of their sweet relationship.

So sad for yongsun to be cursed with the gift of prophecy and having to live with the pain and guilt of killing her beloved to save the many lives.

At leaat byul got her revenge for killing the king responsible for destroying her country.

Chapter 1: Gosh this is just so beautiful. The way their love blossoms even though solar is deeply aware of their destiny and the way moon byul accepting it. The historical au where the fate of the entire kingdom or country lay in ones hand. I can feel Solar dilemma and emotional conflict all the way here. Love it

Chapter 1: This story was hauntingly beautiful. I felt as if there was a strange melancholy running underneath the entire story, but I did not expect it to end this way. I’m glad it did end this way though. It feels like my heart was smothered, but it’s oddly refreshing haha

Chapter 1: Yeeesss i love this plot so much! At first i thought Yong would succumbed to her selfish desire being with Byulyi, but i guess her mentor’s words bring back her sense of duty. One person you love or a thousand innocent lives in your country, that’s a cruel choice. I wish we could explore the story more, but the ending was already perfect. This is really well written, thank you for writing this!

Chapter 1: Thank you for this oneshot, although I wish it would've been longer. But this is already perfect so i'm very grateful. I love the plot so much and I wish I have more things to say than I love this fic and how well-written it is, but I'm kind of out of words right now. Your fic is just so beautiful and the ANGST. My heart hurts but I'm happy.

Chapter 1: This was a good piece! How i wish it was a full pledged fic instead. It was so nicely written and i am a fan of plots like this. I hope to see more of your works in the future. Thank you very much. :)
