Over the last few years, I've become a huge fan of historical fantasy dramas. I was insipried by several works for this piece, including Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Love Lost in Times, Legend of Fuyao, Ashes of Love, Eternal Love 1 & 2, and many others. I highly recommend checking out those epic dramas for captivating, beautiful stories. 

This multi-chapter fic will be long, extremely long, and I intend to cross-post it in other places. In an effort to avoid butchering the Chinese language, and all of the dialects therein, I'll do my best to avoid using any romanized Chinese words, though I may need to borrow a few at a later time.
