Baekhyun made his way into the entrance of his mansion but stopped after entering his living room. He stood still as he looked at the whole room and a sad sigh left his throat.

He found himself getting scared to enter the place he once considered home, the place he once loved so much, the place that once welcomed him with the laughter of his dear wife Yumi.

The home that his most beloved Yumi would run out and hug him, welcoming him with a gentle but yet a love-filled kiss, a place that once welcomed him with the sweet scent of his wife Yumi, a place that always gave him a reason to smile.

Baekhyun made his way further into the house, and all he could hear was Yumi's laughter and voice filling the whole area of the mansion, but he knew too well the painful reality.

Baekhyun heard about the news, and he was very much relieved. Although he wasn't even happy with his life anymore, he was only able to stay alive and active in his company so that he can give his children a bright future. Baekhyun has also quit his hard ruthless Mafia life and has suddenly grown so weak and helpless. He has become his own shadow and whenever he sees a gun anywhere or even on TV he becomes traumatized as he always recalls how Yumi was shot dead right in front of him, and there was nothing he could do to save him.

Thanks to Irene and Wendy who never failed to take proper care of the children. They gave them the love they never got and tried their best to make the children happy, but Jesse who just turned seven years of age wasn't always the happy type. For some reason, he became a sad child and would always focus on his studies while his Five years old Alice was a happy and social type. Baekhyun only sighed deeply and turned over to Irene. “You won't blame him you know, he was there when everything happened, and you know that he's a very smart and intelligent boy, so this is expected. But, don't worry, I will have a word with him, after all, he's my son and he's also the reason why I'm alive.”

“And what about Alice? Is she not your child as well?” Irene asked with a frown written all over her face.

“Alice.” Baekhyun smiled while staring into a blank space. “Alice is my daughter, my most precious Jewel, my life, and my everything. She's the picture of my Yumi and my heartbeat. I love her so much it breaks my heart"

“That's good. You can go and see the children while I set the dinner okay?”

“Okay.” Baekhyun nodded and got up from the couch and went straight to his children's room. Getting there, he pushed the door open and a smile appeared on his lips immediately. He slowly entered the room and walked over to his sleeping daughter who's currently whining in her sleep just exactly like Yumi.
