The Mafia's ChroniclesLee Yumi, a 23 years old girl is being enraptured in the world of sorrow, pain and regret. She promised to neve forgive herself for the untimely death of her dear beloved parents who were both taken away from her by the cold hands of death.
Looking at the old photos of her deceased parents on the old wall of her living room, Yumi sobbed. She was starting to feel weak, devastated and lonely. It was still so difficult for Yumi to accept the fact that her parents are no longer in this world, despite the fact that they had passed away five years ago in a horrible car accident.
“I'm sorry.”
The words slipped through her lips like a mantra while tears fell from her swollen eyes. It was difficult for Yumi to mutter her apologies, but she had to. She had to say it more, she felt she had to say it for the rest of her life.
Yumi had always seen herself as the cause of her parent's death. She blames herself everyday for their death since her birthday was what took their lives away.
Yumi had always wanted to set things right, but it was far too late to do so. The time she could have set things right was five years ago, but now she was left with nothing but regrets and sorrow.
A knock at the front door brought Yumi back to her painful reality.
It must be her uncle. Yumi wiped the tears off her swollen eyes and puffy cheeks with the back of her hand and rushed towards the door in excitement to see her uncle.
Upon opening it, Yumi's uncle Choi walked into the living room with two bags in his hands. No words uttered
"Welcome back uncle Choi. How was your trip?" The girl asked as she smiled at her uncle with excitement.
"Great." The man answered with a sighed following. He walked over to the couch and sat down, he then let his head fall back against the headrest. "Tell me, how have you been? Did you eat and sleep properly?" Her uncle asked in concern.
"Yes uncle, I did. Wait, I will get you a glass of water, and then serve dinner." Yumi smiled and trailed off to the kitchen.
She quickly prepared dinner and served it on the dining table. She walked to the living room and noticed that her uncle had gone inside to his bedroom, so Yumi thought of calling him out. It was just the right thing to do.
Yumi got to the door of her uncle's room, but she heard her uncle pleading and begging over the phone. She could clearly hear the fear in her uncle's voice.
Yumi was confused. She had no idea of what's going on. Why is her uncle Choi so scared and who is he talking to over the phone? Yumi wondered.
She wanted to walk into the room and inquire from her uncle about what actually was going on, but instead, she just informed him from the door that dinner was ready and she left.
Yumi was very much disturbed ever since she heard her uncle sounding so frightened. She thought of bringing up the topic while they ate dinner, but she decided to just let it go again. She wanted to avoid anything that would make him abandon his dinner in anger and walk away.

Yumi was just getting out of her bed. It was just 6 am the following day after Choi had arrived, and a loud call from her uncle Choi landed on her ears. She quickly rushed out of the room and headed straight to the living room.
"Good morning uncle Choi, you called for me?"
"Morning Yumi. Yes, I did. I want you to get ready and pack your things, we are going on a trip to Seoul."
"Seoul?" The girl asked.
"Yes, Seoul. Do you have a problem with that?" Choi asked.
"No uncle. Just that I don't want to leave my parents alone here. I want to stay with them." Yumi sounded upset once again.
"Yumi it's been five years now that your parents departed from this world. Why can't you move on? I mean you're almost 24, and yet you don't act like one." Choi said in a harsh tone. He was already upset and tensed because of what was about to happen.
"They were my everything ! They were all I had and now you're asking me to forget everything about them ?" Yumi shouted as tears violently fell down her pale cheeks. She felt very hurt and alone once again.
On seeing the girl's tears, Mr. Choi quickly got back to his rightful state of mind.
"I'm sorry Yumi. I didn't mean to say that." The man caressed Yumi's hair and wiped off her tears. "You can take all your parents' belongings along with you, okay? I just want to take you out on a fun trip."
Yumi stayed quiet for a while, contemplating if she should give in to his request. After a few minutes of thinking things through, she nodded her head.
"Okay, uncle." She trailed off to her room and arranged all her clothes, shoes, pictures, and other valuables. She took everything that belonged to her and that which belonged to her late parents. When she was don
