Foreword

___

Prologue.

"Dear love, I was never one to believe in this thing called love at first sight, however, that changed the moment I saw you."

___

It was sunny that day.

The skies cloudless and a pretty shade of cerulean.

Having a break between filming, he decided to explore the streets of Manhattan, along with one of his good friends.

He recalled seeing her standing on the opposite side of the crosswalk, easily standing out amongst the crowd that surrounded her.

Earphones were in her ear, as she slightly bobbed her head to whoever she was listening to while she happily on a vanilla ice cream cone.

He even remembered the way she wore her hair up in a bun, her baby hairs laid and light make up adorned her face. The bright yellow off the shoulder top that made her brown skin pop and white shorts that displayed her smooth legs. All the way down to the butterfly ankle bracelet that hung around her left ankle as her feet were covered in a pair of low top converse shoes.

She was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.

He had stopped walking, too busy drinking all of her at that moment.

Even as she crossed the street, his eyes remained focused on her as if he was put in some sort of a trance.

He watched as she made her way in his direction, a small smile on her face revealing a precious pair of deep dimples.

His friend, who managed to catch the whole thing, lightly pushed his shoulder, encouraging him to do something when she got closer.

Nervousness erupted inside him as she passed by him.

Panicking, he softly grabbed ahold of her wrist bringing her to an abrupt stop.

When she turned around to face him and their eyes finally met, he felt something spark within him.

"I-i'm sorry, I just...I'm Lee Jong-Suk." He rambled, not knowing how to defend his actions. All he knew was that he needed to find a way to talk to her before she disappeared forever.

It was though everything around them moved in slow motion as he nervously watched her look from where he held her wrist to his face. A wave of relief flowed through him once she slowly begins to politely smile at him.

"It's ok, I'm Carmen."

Chapter 2: Thank You Bianca for talking and calming down Carmen about Jongsuk. Men aren't going to waste their time on you if they weren't interested no matter the race of the person.
