Crescent lied in her bed, every few seconds she looked at the door that separated them. She got up and carefully placed her ear on the door listening for any movement. There was not movement and she went back to her bed. It was a constant back and forth, but after an hour she was starting to wonder if he was going to be coming back at all tonight. The waiting was tiring her out, her eyelids felt heavy and she felt herself drifting off when she heard a soft click of a lock from the room next door. She jumped out of her bed and tiptoed to the door and tried to hear if it was Jaebum. Once again she heard nothing. Feeling a little bit foolish, she turned to go back to her bed disappointed, she was so certain the he must have been back. She thought back it; she made sure that her side of the door was unlocked. She briefly considered opening her side, but she decided against it at last moment feeling a little foolish again. She scolded herself; his actions were so unlike her. She lived alone with her reclusive father and butler perfectly fine for so long. Now she was constantly surrounded by so many people yet all she wanted looked forward to be the presence of one person. She paced around for a moment longer before she finally found the courage to open the door when the door swung open, Jaebum stood before her with a grin,

“I have been listening to you pacing in front of the door since the moment I got back.”

Crescent could feel her blush creep up to her cheeks. “I… Uhm… It’s just…” Crescent says trying to find words to make a sentence but failing miserably.

This made Jaebum smile widens even more. “I was waiting for you to open that door, but I got a bit impatient.”

“Really?” crescent says as a small smile starts on her lips, an unfamiliar fluttering starting in her heart.<
