It all started in early 2017. BTS is told by the music show hosts to sing their newest hit, Spring Day.

TWICE stands next to them, ready to listen. Jeongyeon glanced at BTS, her eyes laying on Jimin.

Wouldn’t it be funny if she were to make him squirm?

And so, Jeongyeon echoed BTS’s lyrics sarcastically. This sparked the famous side glare from Park Jimin, officially starting the beef.

No one knows the exact cause of this beef, or if it’s even real.

But the evidence continues to pile up.

South Korea has witnessed these small yet savage moments between Jimin and Jeongyeon, wanting to know if these two idols actually hate each other… or is it just the opposite?

Cue the Variety Show “We Got Married” doing a special “Voter’s Choice” for the next couple!

Unsurprisingly BTS’s and Jimin and TWICE’s Jeongyeon were picked, neither of them knowing who their counterpart will be. All the fans patiently waited for their WGM to be recorded and put out to the public. It was the most highly anticipated couple of WGM ever! The beef has caused such an interest that even international fans were bombarding the producers of WGM to get the show recorded already.

Everyone needed to see these two interact once and for all in-person with no escape. They must be trapped together and reveal the reasoning behind their behavior towards one another.

The teasing, the dirty looks, the whispers to their members… the seemingly pure hatred for one another must be confronted. And of course this will be done through a show about them being married.
