Chapter 13: Hmmm. It’s been an interesting read so far. The fighting was a but ambiguous at first but it did make sense in the end. I struggled to understand some parts because of the grammar but hey! It all made sense in the end. There’s nothing wrong with tall line being straight lmao but I don’t agree with Yuju though. While it is true most of society shuns the lgbtq+ community, there is a reason people fight for their recognition. Being gay doesn’t make your relationships any less of what it is. It’s a human right to be able to love who you want freely. A human right. You don’t need to be in a relationship with a guy to be seen as legitimate. Hiding in the closet forever is damaging to yourself as a person and to your ‘partners’. Having a guy you date as a facade to seem straight is only hurting him because you can’t love him fully and yet hiding your true relationship with your girlfriend is painful because you can’t express yourselves in public. I mean I don’t know? Maybe people can work it out but keeping a secret like that is damning. Why should you hide your identity? It’s not shameful. Repercussions for being in the lgbtq+ exist only because society deems it so, but it shouldn’t be. I understand that right now isn’t the time for them but years down the line, unless they were okay with poly, Umji’s gonna have to choose between one or the other. Maybe Bi could handle being the other one but it’s not good for your mental psyche. Being gay is hard but people fight for it to be recognised, is it a sin to want to love? Anyway this was just my opinion it’s not bashing. It’s gotten long winded but I wanted to express what my thoughts were.
