Dong Hyuk had his palms faced towards the fire that Chenle had accidentally created in their backyard, drops of rain gently landing on his face. A single of lightning that hit the tree and caused a huge, burning fire. Dong Hyuk had his left palm stretched out completely and his right infront of his chest, the flames slowly being into both his palms. His eyes were fire orange, oddly fitting with all the ash that the fire had caused. Back up in Jisung and Chenle's room, the latter and Jaemin were comforting Chenle. Because of the event that happened last night, it had caused Chenle's powers to exponentially grow, reducing his ability to control them. Memories of what he had seen the night before through his vision had triggered his power spurt, and it had converted itself into a nightmare where he lost complete control of it. Because of that, he had accidentally summoned a period of rain and a single, strong lightning bolt onto the tree in their backyard. Jeno was busy creating an air bubble around the fire, making sure the ash didn't get out and only the rainwater could get in.

"Well," Jeno began. "At least now we know he can create rainy seasons or call thunderstorms,"

"I'm not one to say much about controlling powers but he needs to try. If it happens again in our sleep or worse-- somewhere else," Dong Hyuk huffed as the last bit of fire seeped into his palms and the fire in his eyes dissipated. "Consequences would be mad terrifying."

"That's something we all need to try doing. Jaemin hasn't been able to grow a single leaf since last night." Jeno wiggled his fingers as he shrank the air bubble to collect the ashes. The flat, light pieces of grey compressed into a pile od dust in the air bubble before he pushed the bubble into the soil.

"What? Was that the first thing he tried when he got out of bed?" Dong Hyuk folded his arms across his chest as Jeno dusted a small bit of ash off his shoulder.

"Ironically. After Renjun left, I heard their window slide open and half his body was out the goddamn window when I heard him yell. Apparently, man was trying to make the bush directly below his window grow tall enough to reach him, but the thing grew two inches and stopped."

"I mean," Dong Hyuk looked at the tree with pity. "He can try and regrow this tree. Trunk's still there, it's still alive, but it'll take another 20 years before it grows back to how it was this morning."

Jeno and Dong Hyuk exchanged glances and shrugged.

"Dude, it's fine. We all get it, don't be so hard on yourself." Jisung patted Chenle on his back, the older having his face buried in his palms.

"I just--" Chenle sniffled and pouted. "What if I can't control it and I hurt someone?" He looked up at Jaemin and Jisung.

"That's exactly why we have the arena and training sessions. After last night your powers must've grown more than you could control so this happened," Jaemin looked out the window and noticed the weather was practically following Chenle's emotions, and it was raining heavily outside.

"On the bright side, we now know you can control the weather and make it rain when you're upset." Jisung teased. Chenle snorted in between his sniffles.

"What about you? I heard you shout this morning," Chenle wiped his face and looked at Jaemin.

"I uh--" Jaemin rubbed the back of his neck. "I exhausted my powers last night I think. This morning I was leaning out the window to try make the bush directly below it grow tall enough to reach me, but I failed and nearly fell out." Jaemin gave an embarrassing chuckle and pres
