Maybe because it was warm and cozy, Soohyun couldn’t find the will to open her eyes and stand up as she heard a series of knocks against her cabin door. She stayed on her bed for a few more minutes until she finally opened her eyes and went for the door. Her hair was still a mess and she bet she still has sleep on her eyes because Jongin was trying to hold back his laughter the moment his eyes laid on her. Soohyun stood silently as she watched Jongin’s figure. 

“Seems like you’ve finally gotten a good sleep, princess,” Jongin commented. Soohyun stood still, half-asleep, as she was still incapable of processing his words. They both stood in utter silence before Jongin decided to break it with a loud clap. Soohyun jumped from her spot and felt like her body has finally woken up. 

“Jongin,” Soohyun called out. 

“Yes, my princess,” Jongin smiled and did a small bow which Soohyun find quite amusing in his part because it seemed like he was doing a play and his role was a knight. “I brought you your breakfast. Oh and one more thing, Baekhyun and Jongdae would be meeting you in an hour. Baekhyun said to bring your book and notes with you.” 

Oh, the book and the notes. Soohyun nervously thought. This time, Soohyun knew she was fully awake because she can feel her heart tightening up at the mention of the book. The uncertainty it holds is what makes her feel anxious the more it’s talked about. It would be better if she could just fully understand and translate the book with ease. 

Jongin left right after giving Soohyun her breakfast. For the past few days of her stay in the ship, it was either Jongin was bringing her breakfast or her coming down to the mess hall to get her own food by herself. She figured out if no one knocks on her door right after she had just woke up then the possibility of Jongin bringing her food is close to none. It actually doesn’t matter because she liked it whether she has to stay in the cabin for breakfast or go to the mess hall. There were no people at the mess hall early in the morning which Soohyun was very thankful for. She figured out most of them eats quite late in the morning because they were busy doing morning duties. 

Soohyun fixed herself as she looked at the mirror in front of her. She settled with a dark blue dress that came just right above her ankle. It was light and comfortable. She thought if she had the chance to meet Mirae once again, she’d properly thank her for the dresses. They were very nice and extremely comfortable to wear. When Soohyun was sure she looked quite decent, she then decided to head outside. It was still quite early but she figured she could use some time to grab some fresh air before facing Baekhyun and Jongdae. 

Soohyun slowly opened her cabin door. To her surprise, the door right in front of her also opened, showing a sleepy Jongdae who was busy trying to make himself look presentable by fixing his untidy bed hair. Soohyun stood still behind her cabin door as she watched Jongdae do his thing. When he stopped and looked at her, that’s when things started getting chaotic. Jongdae’s eyes widened at the immediate sight of her. Soohyun wasn’t sure how to exactly react because he looked shocked and confused at the same time when he tried to say something as he pointed his finger towards her. Soohyun confusedly looked back at him and at herself as they both stood in silence. Jongdae can’t seem to find the right words at the moment as his mouth opened and closed and then just settled with being wide open soon after. 

“Uhm,” Soohyun tried to break off the tension that was starting to build up between the two of them but obviously failed when Jongdae started screaming out of nowhere. 

“Why are you here?! You’re the girl who was at the tent with me!” Jongdae yelled. Soohyun had to take a step back because his screaming voice was quite too loud for her and he was just right in front of her. Jongdae looked absolutely flabbergasted as he tried to process everything. 

Just as when Soohyun was about to say something, the door to Baekhyun’s cabin suddenly opened, revealing Baekhyun with a distressed look on his face. He gave both Soohyun and Jongdae a look before directing his attention towards the unreadable Jongdae. 

“What’s with all the yelling, Jongdae? It’s early in the morning, for goodness sake, tone it down,” Baekhyun said. Jongdae doesn’t seem like he was calming down any second from now as he grabbed Baekhyun’s arms and accusingly pointed a finger towards Soohyun. 

“She’s there. She knew me and you and I think I saw her somewhere before. She looks familiar. Why is she here? And why is she coming out from a cabin? Did you do that? Baekhyun, I’m telling you thi-“ 

“Are you asleep when I told you you’d be meeting her today?” Baekhyun asked as he removed Jongdae’s hands from him. Jongdae seemed to take a minute as he tried to remember whatever Baekhyun told him. He was silent for a while until he snapped his fingers and looked back at Soohyun. 

“Aha!” Jongdae exclaimed. Soohyun had to bit back the urge to jump right on the spot because of his loud voice. She looked back at Jongdae as he spoke once again. “So it’s you. I’m confused. I think I’ve seen you before, not just at the tent but even before that. Who’s she?” Jongdae turned to Baekhyun as he asked. He sounded a lot calmer than before and Soohyun was thankful for it. His great enthusiasm early in the morning wasn’t something she expected out of him, to be really honest. 

Baekhyun didn’t answer Jongdae’s question and instead looked at Soohyun. “I’m sorry about that. He’s loud, I know. I hope he didn’t scare you with all the screaming he had done,” he said and Soohyun immediately raised a hand as she shook her head. 

“Good. Have you eaten yet?” Baekhyun asked. Soohyun was quite confused with the sudden question but answered anyways. 

“Yes. I just finished and was on my way to the deck to get some fresh air before, um, meeting you two,” Soohyun answered as she looked back at Jongdae who was looking back and forth between her and Baekhyun. 

“Great. If it’s alright with you, could you go down to the mess hall right now and meet us there in a while? I’d be talking with Jongdae first before going there,” Baekhyun s
