Winter was just around the corner and Hana could already feel it in the air. Chilly breezes have become regular these days and people were slowly bidding goodbyes to their summer wears, ensconcing themselves in thick scarfs and coats to protect themselves from the oncoming chill. None of this however, could dampen Hana or any other student in SNU, for the end of the week marked the beginning of their long awaited winter break.

On Friday morning, Hana found herself in the library, returning all the books she had issued the previous semester. The librarian was a plump woman in early fifties with laugh lines on her face. She always got along with Hana really well.

“Hana dear, can you please help me put these books back in their respective shelves?” She asked in a kind voice.

“Sure, Mrs.Kwon.” Hana bowed respectfully, before hauling the said pile of books and moving towards the shelves. A sudden rustle of cloth from the other side of one of the shelves caught her attention and she peered from between the books. Cool grey eyes were looking back at her from the other side. Letting out a small shriek of surprise, she stumbled back, the books tumbling from her hands on to the floor.

“Sorry for startling you like that.” Min Ji said, appearing in front of Hana. She bent down and scooped all the books up effortlessly and arranged them into a neat pile. “Here.” She said smiling, that somehow never reached her eyes and handed the books back to Hana’s extended hands.

“What are you plans for winter break?” Hana heard herself asking. She knew very well that they were no longer friends but she couldn’t stop herself from being concerned about Min Ji’s well being.

“I’m going to Alaska to hunt polar bears.” Min Ji flashed her teeth at Hana, which strangely looked intimidating.

“You are joking right?” Hana gave a nervous laugh.

“No, I always wanted to try bear blood.” Min Ji said with a straight face. “If you are done interrogating me, I will be on my way.” She nodded at Hana once, turned her back to the latter and walked away.

Sighing to herself, Hana finished her job at library and went out of the building. Just as she had expected, Jongin was standing outside whistling to himself, oblivious to the fact that some of his fan girls were ogling at him from behind a pillar.

“Hana.” Jongin smiled just like always, flashing his perfect white teeth. “Shall we get going?”

“I really don’t understand why you are stalking me like this.” Hana grumbled. She turned and took a look at the hiding girls and received glares right back. “I can perfectly take care of myself and I know very well how to get to the parking lot.”

“Stalking is a cruel word, Hana.” Jongin said in a mock hurt voice. “I like walking with you. It keeps those crazy girls away from me.”

“Who put you to this?” Hana ignored Jongin’s subtle attempts at changing the topic. “Baekhyun? Sehun?”

Jongin gave a sheepish smile like a child caught red handed at stealing sweets by it’s mother. “Both to be honest. We are just keeping an eye on you.”

“Why?” Hana narrowed her eyes in suspicion. “We caught that vampire didn’t we? I was not aware of another threat lurking around.”

“We are just being careful.” Jongin said in a low voice. “Suho knows about you now right? No one can imagine what goes inside his twisted mind.”

“Great.” Hana mumbled. By then they had reached the parking lot and the Maserati waiting for them was impossible to miss. Sehun poked his head out through the window from the driver’side.

“Baekhyun wants us to go to café as soon as possible.” He rolled his eyes. “Seems like they have come up with some kind of plan to ensure good business during winter.”

“I’m going to kill him if he forces me to wear kitty ear head band again this time, I swear.” Jongin snapped. Hana couldn’t help but laugh.

“You guys would look really cute in kitty ears.” She giggled.

“it’s a nightmare.” Sehun muttered darkly as he pulled the car out of the parking lot after everybody had got in. “You have no idea.”

“Last time this happened, we had to work double shifts because the customers were not willing to go back home at all.” Jongin said, a look of pure terror etched on his face.

“When you say customers..” Hana trailed off.

“I mean crazy hormone fuelled girls.” Sehun supplied. “Yeah.”

Hana was lost for words.

“Guys pay attention please.” Baekhyun said loudly. Everyone had gathered inside the café for the meeting and all of them except Baekhyun looked nervous, with bated breath.

“For this winter, we are going to go character themed.” He informed. “Our shop will be featuring celebrities and other popular figures.”

“I like this idea.” Chanyeol said toothily, looking relieved that he would not be made to wear outrageous outfits.

“So we have to do a detailed renovation.” Baekhyun sighed.

“You are renovating this shop just for winter?” Hana asked, her jaw hanging open. Just how rich were these people?

“Yeah, we do. This is the modest of all crazy stuff we have done before.” Kyungsoo muttered back at her.

In a matter of few hours, everything was decided. In a couple of days, new character themed china and other café essentials will be delivered and a long week of rearranging the interior of the café awaited them all. Hana was okay with it because she wanted nothing more than to spend her vacation around these boys. They had so much energy and she couldn’t help but be happy around them irrespective of what they did.

After the meeting ended, Hana bade everyone goodbye and one by one all of them filed out of the café. Just as she was about to get in Sehun’s car, another familiar car  came to a stop in front of them.  Chan Woo stepped out of it, relief evident on his face. Hana quickly stepped away from  the Maserati to greet him. Sehun after observing everything without even uttering a single word, got out of his car. Everyone else was looking curiously between Hana, Sehun and the new addition.

“Thank god!” Chan Woo exclaimed in relief. “I thought I will miss meeting you here also.” Looking at the puzzled look on Hana’s face, Chan Woo elaborated. “I had gone to your house early in the evening and it was locked. I was wondering where to get hold of you and then I remembered this place. Glad I made it before you people left.” He smiled and waved his hand in a friendly way to the others. After introducing himself to everyone, with Sehun sulking in the background, Chan Woo turned to look at Hana.
