Forced Ties Chapter 2

Jimin froze as Taehyung suddenly wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling the older closer. He rested his head on Jimin’s shoulder and whispered, “Why are you so beautiful?”

It sent shivers down Jimin’s back, causing him to straighten his posture. “Hmm? Tell me,” Taehyung asked, staring into Jimin’s eyes. Jimin felt hot and insecure. His face was starting to turn into a tomato.

“Wh- where’s Jungkook?”

“Jungkook? Don’t worry about him babe,” Taehyung said in a deep voice, rubbing Jimin’s thighs. Jimin gasped as Taehyung’s hand moved closer to his crotch. Their face getting closer and closer, lips almost connecting.

“Tell me beautiful, how am I this lucky?”

“This is not luck!” Jimin shouted as he shot his eyes wide opened. “Oh, thank god,” he breathed. “It was just a dream.”

Jimin was glad, but he had forgotten how his night with Jungkook ended. He doesn’t recall sending him off or anything.

That didn’t matter to Jimin today though, because today is the day they’ll go see the wedding venue in person. He was excited since the photos of it looked extremely beautiful. The wedding venue isn’t the only thing Jimin’s excited to see.

“Jimin,” Taehyung called. “It’s lovely to see you again,” he stressed. Jimin rolled his eyes and played along.

“It’s not like I wanted to see you anyways,” he grumbled. Taehyung raised his brows then blew him a kiss before following his parents inside.

It has a beautiful church, but they wanted the wedding outside. Luckily, this venue had so many features to it. There was a pavilion, big enough to hold the ceremony. Jimin could see it all coming together. “Psh, what are you so happy about?” Taehyung asked as he notices Jimin’s beaming face.

“The interior design to the wedding. It’ll look so beautiful!” Jimin exclaims, clapping his hands. Taehyung chuckled and leaned towards his groom.

“I hate the idea of this wedding,” he scowled. “See you later Chim.”

Jimin’s excitement went away. Taehyung didn’t have to say that to him, even though of course he feels the same. He probably doesn’t even know what Jimin does for a living, probably why he didn’t understand his excitement. Jimin scoffed, “Whatever. I don’t even know how he gets his rude alive either.”

He stomped to the car and got in, waiting for his parents. Just as he was going off about how rude Taehyung was in his head, he just realized Taehyung called him Chim. “He- he developed a nickname for me already?” He questioned himself. His strong brows and deadly eyes softened at that realization. “I guess, I guess he isn’t that bad,” he said and fell back into the soft cushion.

There was a knock on the window. Jimin turned to see just who could be bothering him right now. Standing there was Taehyung, he smiled and motioned for Jimin to get out. Sighing, he opened the door.

“Yes?”

“Our parents want to talk to us about something,” Taehyung answered.

“Oh, okay,” Jimin said and quickly followed Taehyung back inside.

“Taehyung,” Mrs. Kim beamed. “You guys can’t just go wandering off, we have lots to discuss.”

“Sure sure,” Taehyung said plainly, shifting all of his weight to one leg.

“Which side of the pavilion should be the entrance?” She asked.

“Really?” Taehyung thought.

“Hmm, oh! This should work because it’s longer this way, and by the way the bushes stand around the perimeter, it’ll give a completed look to guests walking in,” Jimin said full of charisma, even though that should’ve been common sense.

“That’s true,” their wedding planner agreed. Taehyung was the only one looking at Jimin oddly, still confused on why he has so much energy.

“Alright, that’ll do,” Mrs. Park said. “Now we can go sit down and review the details.”

By we, she meant the parents and the wedding planners. Taehyung walked off, leaving Jimin alone. He looked around before deciding to walk the other direction. He was kind of lost, but he didn’t care because the scenery was amazing. This venue was at the top and near the edge of a mountain. Jimin carefully walked to the edge of the marble gazebo that hung off the edge. He sunk into the rail and sighed. It was peaceful there, and no buildings were in sight. Just some fields, trees, and flowers. The gazebo was bigger than usual. It was about fifty feet wide along the edge, and the ceiling was so high up.

“Why are you always following me?” Jimin turned around, spotting Taehyung who walked into the gazebo.

“Excuse me? Clearly I was here first,” Jimin scoffed and stood up straight.

“Right Chim, you just can’t get enough of me can you?” Taehyung teased and smirked.

“Yea totally, since you’re sooooo ‘charming’.” Jimin glared at Taehyung.

“Gosh you scare me sometimes,” Taehyung said as he walks next to Jimin and rested his arms on the railing. He was enjoying the scenery too. Jimin let it all go and looked back out. It really was nice, for boys in the city.

Taehyung turned and just stared at Jimin with a smile.

“What?” He asked coldly, but Taehyung didn’t answer. “Do I have something on my face?”

Still no answer. Jimin sighed and looked away, ignoring Taehyung. That didn’t stop him from staring though. He wanted to make Jimin feel very uncomfortable. Which didn’t succeed, because Jimin was lost in his own world. He started humming, which changed to soft singing, next to him singing his heart out. Completely losing all senses, he danced around the gazebo as he sung. Taehyung was also lost in Jimin.

He sung and danced for a good ten minutes before losing all his energy. It may be short, but to Taehyung it felt like forever. He managed to get Jimin out of the gazebo and into the flower garden. Holding his wrist, Taehyung led them into another but smaller wooden gazebo sitting at the top of the small hill in the middle of the garden. They both sat down on the bench inside with Jimin giggling nonstop. Taehyung chuckled at him. “What’s up with you?”

“Me? What do you mean? I’m just being me!” Jimin stuck out his tongue and started laughing again. Taehyung decided to just let him be.

The sun was setting. It was then that both men realized how long they’ve been talking and spending time together. “I’ve never watched the sunset with my future groom before,” Jimin said.

“Of course not idiot,” Taehyung chuckled. Jimin shivered and rubbed his arms. “I’m not giving you my blazer.”

Jimin scoffed. “As if I even wanted it.”

They watched the sun disappear behind another mountain. The sky was a canvas with a mixture of pink, purple, and blue. The couple remained seated with an awkward space between them, staring at the sky, until Taehyung’s phone rung. It startled them both, breaking the peaceful silence between them.

“Hello? — Yea sorry, we’re at the garden — yes we’ll be there soon — yes — bye. Our parents are looking for us, it’s time to leave.”

“Oh,” Jimin said quietly. Taehyung stood up and walked out.

Jimin was still sitting there in the cold, taking forever to think about what Taehyung had just said.

“Oh , it’ll be dark soon,” Jimin muttered as he quickly ran off.

He turned the corner and ran into Taehyung. “You didn’t leave yet?” Jimin asked.

“I- I did. I was just... just waiting for my light,” Taehyung stuttered and turned away.

“The ?” Jimin whispered to himself. Taehyung stopped and turned around.

“Hurry up idiot, it’ll be dark soon,” Taehyung called. Jimin quickly walked over and shoved Taehyung lightly.

“I know,” he said with a smile. Taehyung inhaled deeply and turned away, biting his lips hard. He threw his blazer around Jimin and picked up his pace.

That night, Jimin went to sleep replaying the whole day in his mind. He wished Taehyung was thinking the same, however he knew Taehyung could care less about him.

It was the day of the wedding already. “Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh I don’t wanna get married!” Jimin cried in his room. Seokjin smiled as he looked at himself with his suit on in the mirror.

“Don’t complain, you’ve been enjoying all the preparations,” his friend said, still stuck to the mirror. Jin was right, he has been enjoying the preparations, but he wasn’t ready for the wedding. It came so fast, he’d forgotten Taehyung isn’t his friend, but his actual groom. This whole idea was scary for him. Jimin rubbed his face, sniffling. He had to get ready soon or else he’d be late. To push his fears away, he tried thinking about the positive things to this marriage. “Money, a partner, good house, live alone, easy life, it’ll be the same with a few upgrades.”

Taehyung has never looked so dead and alive at the same time ever his whole life. Jungkook sat quietly, staring at his odd friend. Taehyung hasn’t even said a single word to his best man ever since he arrived. He’s just been fixing his suit, looking in the mirror, and staring at a wall.

“Taehyung! Make sure you come on time!” Mrs. Kim shouted, followed by the front door closing. Taehyung suddenly broke, wailing.

“I don’t want to come on time! I want to be late! I don’t want to go!” He cried. Jungkook laughed at his friend.

“Stop acting like a little baby, you enjoyed the times spent with your groom before.”

“Shut up, I did not,” Taehyung said, pouting. That just made Jungkook laugh at him even more. Taehyung wiped his imaginary tears then fixed his hair, taking a deep breath. “Let’s go, it’s rude to be late.”

Guests slowly filled the empty chairs in the pavilion. Taehyung stood by the entrance with Jungkook, greeting the guests as they arrive. Someone was getting quite impatient waiting for his special someone to arrive.

“Hurry up slow poke!” Seokjin ushered Jimin quickly out of the car. They had to go inside and wait for Mr.Park to come take Jimin. As they were walking away, Jimin stole a peek at Taehyung. He giggled because Taehyung was yawning. He looked like a little tired kitten, compared to his friend who had the brightest smile ever. His friend!

“Jungkook?” Jimin questioned. He didn’t get a chance to take a closer look because Jin was pulling him away. Thinking about it, Jimin didn’t give Jungkook a wedding invitation, so it couldn’t be him, right?

Jimin was freaking out as his father arrived. He was going to be walking down the isle any moment now, and he wasn’t ready to go. Jimin could picture Jin motivating him, which helped him cheer up a bit. He linked arms with his father and walked down the isle once the music started. In this moment, it’d be expected that the pair look at each other with love. But with Taehyung and Jimin’s situation, Taehyung somehow looks drunk, and Jimin wore a nervous smile. It was not a scene worth crying over.

"Do you, Kim Taehyung, take Park Jimin as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

“I do.” Taehyung answered blandly. Jimin almost rolled his eyes. He wished Taehyung could just play along and make this wedding a little more lively.

"Do you, Park Jimin, take Kim Taehyung as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

“I do,” Jimin said with a fake smile for show.

“You may now kiss the groom.”

Jimin expected Taehyung to awkwardly hesitate and cause laughter, but no. Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin’s small waist, pulling him close and intimately kiss his plump lips softly. The guests cheered and clapped for the couple, however Taehyung didn’t pull away. He continued to gently press his lips against Jimin’s. Jimin was frozen, which he shouldn’t be. He played it all out in his head and it went so well, but somehow, he can’t move. He couldn’t even kiss Taehyung back.

Everyone scattered for dinner afterwards. Jimin walked pass the crowds, looking for Jungkook. “Hey! Congrats Jimin!” Jungkook says as he tugs on Jimin from behind.

“Hey, Jungkook, I was just looking for you,” Jimin pants.

“Oh, why?”

“What’s your relationship with Taehyung? I don’t recall giving you a wedding invitation.”

“Taehyung and I’ve been best friends since college, and we work together. I didn’t even know he was marrying you, except for the fact that he didn’t like anything about this wedding,” Jungkook laughs. “He’s not a horrible person though. I’m sure after a few months of living with him, you’ll grow to like him.”

Jimin quickly nods. He didn’t want to make Jungkook wait too long for dinner.

Jimin awkwardly sat down at his and Taehyung’s table. He wanted some company from either Jin or Jungkook, but the parents filled up the empty seats. Taehyung returned with his plate and sat next to Jimin. He didn’t even say a word, just started to eat. The parents were engaged in their own conversations. Jimin pokes at his food, frowning.

“What? Did the chicken call you ugly?” Taehyung asked, eyes forward. Although he spoke, he still seem to hold a grudge against Jimin.

“I’m not, that hungry,” Jimin replies and shoved his plate forward. He was about to get up, but Taehyung pressed his elbow hard against Jimin’s thigh. “Ow! What the heck!”

“Shut up and sit back down!” Taehyung whispered.

“And why?”

“Because, you’re the groom! Just wait a bit longer and I’ll take you some place else,” Taehyung answered, still avoiding Jimin’s eyes. He calmed down and decided to sit. “At least eat something. If the chicken’s being mean, there’s still the pork and broccolis.” Jimin pokes a piece of broccoli and chomps on it. “And if you don’t like whiskey, the water’s very kind, it’s fresh.” At this point, it started to become funny to Jimin. He was about to laugh at Taehyung, but realized how kind he is actually.

“Mom, Jimin and I are going for a walk. We’ll be back for the dance,” Taehyung said. His mother quickly ushered them away and got back to gossiping with her cousins. Taehyung grabs Jimin’s wrist and pulls him away from the crowd.

They walked in silence for what seem to be forever, until eventually they reach the gazebo, lit with candles and a pretty chandelier. “I thought you like this place a lot, based on what happened the other day,” Taehyung muttered as he sits down on the rail. Jimin smiles at him and sits down next to him. He looks up at the sky with no city lights. Twinkling stars speckled in the dark blue sky.

“Okay, time to go,” Taehyung said, standing up.

“Already?” Jimin whined.

“Yea, the dance starts soon.”

When they returned, they were automatically called to the dance floor. Taehyung seem to know what he’s doing as he takes lead. It somehow offended Jimin because he takes dance lessons, and he wanted to lead. He tried, but Taehyung wouldn’t follow. Taehyung didn’t even look at Jimin. He was looking at everything but Jimin.

People slowly joined them on the dance floor, which removes them from the spotlight. Jimin stomps on Taehyung’s feet. “I want to lead,” he said and tried again, but Taehyung pulled him close, ruining whatever he wanted to do.

“No, I’m the dominant one here,” Taehyung declared. Jimin hates to say it, but it’s true. Taehyung just naturally has more power and dominance than he does.

The rounds of dances went on and on, and the couple eventually got tired of it. Taehyung lead Jimin to a bench on the side, giving him a can of coke. “Who do you think I am? A child?” Jimin asks, offended.

“Fine, I just thought you’d prefer coke,” Taehyung says and withdraws his hand.

“Wait wait, give me that,” Jimin reaches for the can, but Taehyung had already taken a sip. Jimin frowns and lightly slaps Taehyung’s shoulder, crossing his arm. Taehyung giggles and hands his groom another can. They drunk their soda quietly, watching everyone enjoy the night.

“Taehyung! Jimin!” Jungkook shouts as he runs up to the pair.

“You know this dude?” Taehyung exclaims.

“Of course, we’re childhood best friends,” Jungkook answers and puts Jimin in a headlock, nearly choking him. Jimin was thankful that Jungkook had join them, he felt the awkwardness disappear. However, Taehyung wanted Jimin to leave. It was like he was invisible to his best friend now.

That was until someone else came with four glasses of champagne. “Hey guys!” Seokjin shouts, full of excitement as he starts passing out the glasses.

“Taehyung, this is my friend Seokjin,” Jimin introduces.

“I’ve heard so much about you from Jimin, he must like you-“

Before Jin could finish, Jimin punched his arm lightly, shutting him up.

“And you three all know each other?” Taehyung questions. The three friends nodded adorably, sipping their champagne in sync too. Taehyung felt so excluded somehow. He thought Jimin was some sad low life, but he seems so happy surrounded by his friends.

It was getting late, and Taehyung had a lot to drink. Jungkook helped lead Taehyung to the limo where Jimin was already waiting inside. “Thanks Jungkook,” Jimin smiles and pulls Taehyung next to him. Jungkook smiles back and closed the door. Sighing, Jimin wipes the sweat from Taehyung’s forehead in disgust.

“Hey, I’m not that drunk,” Taehyung says and takes the towel from Jimin. He wipes the back of his neck and throws it across the car. Jimin stands up to go pick the towel up, but the limo made a turn, causing him to fall right on Taehyung. Taehyung smirks as he holds Jimin close.

“G- get away you ert,” Jimin stutters and shoves Taehyung. He quickly walks to the other seat across Taehyung.

“Baby I’m just getting comfortable,” Taehyung grins. Jimin cringed and looks away.

“That’s, don’t say that again.”

They arrived at their new house. It had a modern look, and wasn’t too big or small. Except it was quite secluded in Jimin’s opinion. The next house was probably more than ten blocks away. Since no one rode with them, Jimin had to haul Taehyung out of the car himself. As they walked to the front door, Jimin smiles a little, checking out the place.

Jimin left Taehyung on the couch and hurried upstairs. “Which room am I gonna take?” Jimin sung to himself happily. The results were disappointing. There were only two bedrooms, except one had only the headboard. There were many other rooms, but they were clearly for something else. Instead of choosing bedrooms, Jimin checked out the home offices. One had a nicer desk, but the other had nicer windows, which is what he went with. “The desk is a little, not my type, but it’ll do,” he says to himself as he examines it. He could only think of how bright the room would be once the sun is out.

“Ah!” Jimin shouts as he bumps into Taehyung. Somehow he made it upstairs without falling down.

“I’m sleepy, come sleep with me,” Taehyung pouts. Jimin rolled his eyes, “I’m not into cute boys,” and walked past Taehyung. Taehyung hugs Jimin from behind, making him freeze.

“Then are you into bad boys?” Taehyung whispers. Jimin couldn’t answer. Taehyung’s deep voice sent shivers down his body. “Let’s go sleep now.” Taehyung was still hugging Jimin as they waddled into their bedroom. He was still glued to his husband once they’ve hit their pillows.
