Description

The car stops abruptly, throwing Jade Han's face into the seat in front of her.

What the hell?! she whispers in her mind as she curses the stupid driver.

She hands over her payment to the driver. The driver assists her with her trunks and brings it until they're at the gate of the camp.

Jade turns her back, but the driver calls her again.

"Miss!"

"Yes?"

"No tip?"

She frowns. "You want a freaking tip, go back to driving school!"

"Fine, then." the driver forcefully drops the trunks on Jade's feet. "Adios!"

"Oww!" Jade winces in pain. "What the-- you're crazy!" Jade screams, but it only echoes into the surroundings.

Jade sighs deeply. There's nothing she can do about the ty driver anymore, anyway.

5 in the morning and this is the that I deal with. Yay.

She turns her back and is met by a large, wooden arch, the words Welcome to Crestwood Valley intricately painted on it.

Since she can't carry her trunks, she pushes it towards the entrance.

She's startled by a woman in her late twenties.

"Good morning. You must be Jade Han." the woman smiles at her.

"Yes," Jade pants heavily. "Yes, I'm Jade."

"It's so nice to see you here at last!" the woman smiles and puts her hand out. "I'm Kwon Boa, and I facilitate this camp."

Jade shakes hands with Boa. "It's nice to meet you, Miss Boa."

"That's pleasant to hear, Miss Jade!" Boa lets out an obviously fake laugh. "Don't worry about your luggage. I'll have someone bring it to your room."

Jade observes her surroundings: there are two more wooden arches in the enclosed area, one with Girls on it and the other with Boys.

Jade smiles. "That's great! Um, Miss Boa, where's my room?"

Boa's smile fades almost instantly.

"Well, about that..." Boa rubs her nape.

Jade raises an eyebrow. "Miss Boa?"

Boa takes Jade's hands. "Um, I'm so sorry, Jade Han."

Jade's eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"Is something wrong with my room, Miss Boa?"

"Well, you see..."

Boa shakes her head.

"We happened to run out of spots in the Girls dormitory, and your parents came in at the last second to put you up here."

Jade nods. "Oh, that's okay. I'll just call them and tell them to pick me up."

"You see, dear, that's not possible." Boa winces. "Your parents had you dropped off here because they were going on a European cruise ship. They specifically ordered us to keep you here until the program is done-- that's the time they come back."

Jade's jaw drops in shock. This can't be ing real.

"You're kidding, aren't you?"

Boa shakes her head. "I'm sorry dear. But rest assured, we'll keep you very safe. We've reassigned rooms in the Boys building, so you're being put in a room that is safe. I promise."

Jade hasn't caught on to the idea yet, but she nods anyway.

Boa pulls out a key with Jade's name and room number on it.

Han, Jade. Room 101.

"Your room is on the second floor. You can go there now. I'll just call someone to take your trunks to your room."

Jade bows to Boa. "Thank you, Miss Boa."

Boa gives Jade a timid smile and turns her back.

Jade then heads to the Boys dorm. It's going to be weird seeing a girl there-- for decades, this camp has been segregated properly, but for some reason, she had to be involved in its first mismatch.

Why, though? Out of all the girls that could be put in the wrong dorm, why Jade?

Jade makes her way throughout the camp, silent and untouched. It was only 5 in the morning, and it was only the third day of the program-- everybody would still be asleep at this time.

Jade goes up to the second floor, and to Room 101.

When she arrives there, she tries opening the door.

It's locked.

Where could my roommate be? she asks herself. Without a doubt, she uses the key that Boa has given her.

The first thing she sees is a pink-haired boy making out with a girl-- wait, no, a girl can't possibly be that buff!

Jade screams, causing the couple making out to stop what they're doing and scream as well!

The pink-haired lad (well, he's not smiling anymore) pushes off the buff male on his bed.

"What the are you doing here?!" he asks Jade.

Jade raises an eyebrow.

"What the are you two doing?"

"You're not even supposed to be here!"

Jade shrugs sarcastically. "I know, right?!"

"Calm down," the buff man giggles, his deep voice ringing in Jade's ears. "She's just a girl, you know."

Jade crosses her arms.

"What are you implying? That I can't beat the two of you the up?"

The buff male is obviously surprised at Jade's response.

"Ooh, you're feisty." he laughs. "By the way, I'm Ong Seongwoo. This pink-aired is Kang Daniel. Why are you here anyway?"

Jade dangles her key in front of her.

"For your information, I wouldn't be able to open this door if this isn't where I'd be sleeping."

Daniel looks at Jade and her key with a perplexed expression on his face-- then he smiles, widely.

"Damn, girl. I guess you're sleeping with me every night."

"Excuse me?"

"You're sleeping. With me. Every night. I'm your roommate. That's supposed to make perfect sense, right?"

Jade blinks.

"Do you mean to say this in a lewd manner or--"

Daniel claps as he laughs.

"You're dirtier than I imagined you'd be. With a mind like that, you can't be here." he tells her.

Jade pouts. "I'm sorry. I just can't believe they'd let this happen. I'm so mad right now... you should be able to notice this."
