PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING

Hello! This is Bernice (stilljunhui for this story / omona-mark to most here on AFF) and thank you for your interest in this story! Before anything else, I just wanted to lay down a few things before you continue:

1. Dating Seventeen will be a series of dating stories involving the boys of Seventeen, but it's a bit different from your usual fanfics.

How is it different? Rather than a regular story flow, the chapters will be written out like a visual novel / otome game.
What's that? Otome games are typically story-type games wherein you as the main character get to choose dialogue options and routes to take, all of which affect the outcome of the story.
So will this story have choices? Well, no. At least, not yet, since I'm still trying to figure out a way for it to work on AFF (although I have seen a few where you basically get redirected to another chapter for each choice, but it feels very messy for me).

2. That said, most of the things you'll see here so far is VERY experimental. I don't have a set way I want things to go just yet, although I do know what I want to happen.

What's happening, then? So far, I'm still writing it out like an otome game. It's dialogue heavy, features fun little things like character icons, with narration here and there. There's no choices, so you kinda just go with the story flow.

The story will be written out using second person signifiers (ex. You shook your head / He stepped closer to you). As much as possible, I won't be using any names. That means I won't be using blanks, Y/N tags, or even a filler name.

3. I have a few things set out to make it a bit more fun and interactive though, since I don't think route changes and choices will be a thing I'll do. Here's a few of the things you can expect!

BONUS CHAPTERS
Each route will have at least one bonus chapter that you can access for 20kps.

The perks of a bonus chapter are as follows:
- You get to input your name into the story chapter, so that the chapter will be more a more immersive experience. Read as if your chosen member is actually talking to you!
- In some cases, you can input other specific details about your description or whichever the chapter will be using, so that the chapter will be tailored for your enjoyment.
- Bonus chapters are guaranteed to either be a His Side chapter, wherein you experience a part of the story through your chosen member's point of view OR a Special chapter, wherein it'll be sweeter or even steamier than the regular story.

EVENT STORIES
Mini-stories that aren't a part of the original route, but will feature the guys as they are in the regular stories.

PREMIUM READERS
Be a premium reader for only 150kps! The entire MAIN ROUTE of your chosen guy will be re-written to cater to your details (name, descriptors, etc). This will automatically include any bonus chapters available. You can only avail this per route (ex. If you avail of it for Jisoo's route, you have to pay another 150kps to get Junhui's).

4. If you frequent playing otome games as much as I do, then you can tell where I got my inspiration for a lot of the things I'll have here. Again, as a disclaimer, everything is tentative. It's what I want to happen and would like to see, but it does depend on how successful the trial run is first.

5. The personalities for the boys are set and permanent for all stories and events. That said, I gave them my own otome game archetypes, which may be different from how they are in real life so that each story plot will be different from each other and interesting. As a disclaimer, in no way do I mean to assume how they are or ruin the boys if ever I give them a less-than-flattering personality since that's been an issue. I love them all and think the world of them, so let fun be fun.
