Chapter 19

Jiyong screams.

Jiyong reaches.

Desperately stumbling on his feet, he closes the distance between them in seconds. The scissors are already embedded in her chest though. Jiyong can see its metal handle from the gaps of her fingers, shining like the beacon of a nightmare.

Taeyeon gasps, holding onto his shoulder with one hand. Eyes that still wet with tears stare at Jiyong in despair.

“I'm sorry, Ji.”

“Taeyeon, no.” He cries. Pain pounding in his chest and his heart feels like it's not even there anymore. “Somebody, help!”

“Betty, help!” He struggles to press the emergency button while carefully laying Taeyeon's torso onto the bed. Her feet dangled from the edge. Her breath is ragged. There's no blood from the wound, but it might as well be for Jiyong now sees nothing but red.

“You're so stupid, Taeyeon. So stupid.” His hand hovers over the scissors, desperate to do something to save her, to stop this.
