It feels like a struck of a lightning, it rips his heart right at that very moment, it made his brain numb.
His hand trembling while reading the message.
What does it means?
Hanbin pressed Bobby’s number from Jennie’s phone.
“Hey beautiful.” He could hear Bobby’s husky voice on the other line.
It’s the voice of Bobby he knew. That Bobby who suppose to be his friend.
“Hyung…” Hanbin finally manage to find his voice.
No reply from the other line.
“Hyung…” Hanbin repeated, “stop texting and calling my girlfriend.”
Hanbin hung the phone and when he lift his head, Jennie is there, holding a towel.
“B-babe…” her voice trembling, she’s in a big shocked.
“How…” Hanbin trying to breathe.
“I can explain.”
“H-How…”
“Babe…”
“Are you really filming a show in Osaka?”
“Yes! I’m not lying.” She said. “Babe, this is a misunderstanding.”
“This is not a freaking misunderstanding, Jen! You’re cheating on me!”
“No…”
“No?” Hanbin scoffs. “Explain how is this a no???”
Jennie paused, obviously have no answer.
“Is this why you always reject my question to move in together?”
“No.” Jennie quickly replied.
“Then why?”
“I’m not ready…”
“Of course you are not ready! Because you have someone else in your mind, and that is Bobby! Bobby hyung! My freaking close friend!”
Jennie cries, “No…”
Hanbin try to control himself, “Why him, Jen… why…?”
Jennie looking down, “Because you never had time for me… I’m sorry…”
“Me? I had no time for you? then what is this?? I’m here, sparing my time because you’re leaving tomorrow! Is this doesn’t count??”
“You stood me up too many times! You want me to list everything up now?”
“I had works to do!” he raises his voice.
“So do I!” she raises her voice too.
“But you’re always on my mind, Jen.”
“Oh tell that to the world, yeah, sure! I can say that too, you’re always on my mind too, Hanbin, always.”
“No, it’s different. You are the muse to my every love songs!” Hanbin said, “You knew I wrote it for you! THAT SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU STAY IN MY MIND!”
Jennie paused.
“And it’s obviously the opposite with you.” Hanbin scoffs.
Jennie gulped.
They were in silence for a while. Hanbin sink down to the couch as if his legs become numb. His hands trembling for holding anger and sorrow.
“How could you…” Hanbin took one heavy breathe.
It breaks Jenie’s heart to tears starts falling down his face. “Hanbin… I’m sorry… I—“
“Please, Jen, explain if you have any explanation. Please. Tell me this isn’t true.” He sobs.
No words escaped , she just looking at the floor.
Suddenly there’s a rough knocked on the door.
“Jennie! Jennie!”
They both know it’s Bobby.
Hanbin rose from the couch.
“Hanbin, please, don’t do anything stupid.” Jennie said.
“Like what? Stab him in the heart and kill him? He did that first to me, Jen. Don’t worry about it.” He walked towards the door and open it for Bobby.
Bobby startled to see him, even though he’s expecting him to be there with Jennie, “Han—“
“Come in…” Hanbin cut him.
Hanbin sat on the dining chair with Jennie and Bobby standing in front of him.
“This is all my fault.” Bobby said.
Hanbin scoffs.
“I keep on flirted.” Bobby continued.
“Since when?” Hanbin asked.
“Since I’m back here and saw her at my restaurant.” Bobby answered.
“So you were already lie to me when you went to Jeju?” Hanbin asked again.
Bobby nodded.
Hanbin clenched his fist, trying to swallow his anger.
“Have you ever think about me, hyung?” Hanbin asked.
Bobby look away as he couldn’t bear to see so much pain in Hanbin’s eyes.
Three of them just staying there without words, until Hanbin spoke.
“Instead of having three hearts break, why don’t you just break one heart?” Hanbin said to Jennie. “Choose.”
He shook her head, “I can’t.”
“Choose, jen.” Hanbin looking straight to her.
Jennie gulped, she turned her eyes from Hanbin to Bobby.
Bobby staring at her too, then he—slowly—shook his head.
“Huh…?” Jennie furrowed her eyebrows.
“Don’t choose me…” he inaudibly said.
Hanbin scoffs, “SHE CAN ING CHOOSE WHOEVER SHE WANTS, HYUNG!!”
“No.” Bobby said, “The fact that she still ranting about you, disappointed but always forgive you absence shows how much you still own a place in her mind.”
Jennie bite her lips.
“Then what are you doing? Slippin’ yourself between us? What you want?”
Bobby gulped, guilty feeling eats his heart right now, he turned to Jennie, “What we had is nothing serious, Jen, you said that to me.” Bobby continue. “my presence between the you two was just a reminder that you guys need to work on this relationship… and after this, I bet Hanbin will be a better man, Jen, he was almost losing you, he won’t let it happen again. Right?”
Hanbin heavily breathe, Nothing was serious? As a man Hanbin could see how much he’s in love with Jennie.
“Nothing serious?” Hanbin asked, he seek the fact in his eyes, but all he find is just sincerity.
“Yes, nothing serious, just had fun because you weren’t there.” Bobby avoid Hanbin’s gaze. “Don’t leave her, Hanbin-ah.”
It’s such a shame Bobby could be so sincere and unselfishly saying all those words.
While Jennie obviously out of words, “Ican’t choose, if there’s anyone to blame then it’s me...” she’s just gazing at her shoes. Crying. she just couldn’t hurt Hanbin, she just couldn’t hurt anybo
