in physics, an orbit is the gravittionally curved trajectory of an object. in kpop, an orbit is 12 girls trying to find their own universe to circle around. after much speculation of a possible rew girl group in 2019, as well as the success of new generation groups, red velvet and nct, sm entertainment has decided to finally debut their newest project for the newest generation. they are GWSN (romanization: gwedoleul doneun sonyeodeul) or better known as ORBIT. based off their name, their concept will be hyper focused to their specific sound with a unique concept storyline to follow. the group is rumored to have a debut group of 12, as well as three equally slipt subunits that will promote according to season (sun, earth, moon). sm plans to make use of their smrookies platform to post videos of the girls leading up to their debut every week, as well as some predebut singles to look forward to. with this new concept and promotional style that sm is trying, will they be able to succeed faster? they're just 12 girls trying to find their orbit in the industry. 12 girls trying to find their own universe.
