When they meet
Description
AKS Arts Academy and PD Performing Arts Academy are well known sister schools in Japan and Korea respectively. A/N!
It's my first time writing a story so I hope this doesn't get bashed a lot hehe. I'm still a bit hung up that PD48 ended so soon but I really love seeing the japanese and korean trainees interact w/ each other so I wanted to write a fic. This fic will feature a lot of my favorite trainees in produce. I hope you like each and everyone's story line.
A/N 2:
Three main story lines will be followed here. We have Sihyun x Mako x Juri, Jang Siblings and Yulyen's. :D
Foreword
Just a Year
In a café somewhere in Akihabara, a young woman with a student was having a serious discussion.
“EHHHHH???” You can say she was surprised. But immediately after everything her confusion was replaced with rage.
She was furious. Fuming with anger, she tried to reason out with the academy’s general manager.
“Look, I know that the typhoon basically ruined the entire school but why do we have to go all the way to Korea because of this?”
“Calm down, Takahashi. There’s no school left to accommodate you all and we’ve already notified your parents about this. They weren’t actually thrilled sending you all to Korea but majority of the students’ parents gave in. It’s a good opportunity, really.” The young general manager said.
“Are you not aware of how bad our school’s relationship is? Do you think sending us there will help us while we leave our families behind? Is this the best solution the school can think of? We can’t leave Japan now! It’s too much” She was really mad.
Juri Takahashi. She was elected as President of AKS Arts Academy because she always had the welfare of everyone in mind. She was never afraid of voicing out her opinions when she knows something seems off. She was caring to the younger members and was a pillar to everyone she knew. She was reliable leader for everyone.
“Look, it doesn’t help that you’re mad. We don’t really have a choice. The PD Performing Arts Academy gave us a good offer. Free lodging during your stay and a 1-year scholarship for everyone. Plus look at the state of our school, Juri, it can’t operate. It’s wrecked. Old buildings plus the biggest typhoon hitting the city, it a total disaster. We’re not even sure if the renovations get done a year after. We are lucky enough that PD Academy lent us help.” The general manager wanted the students to stay in Japan, but they couldn’t resist how good the offer was.
“Juri, it’s only for a year. All of your parents agreed on this. You’re much safer there.” The young general manager held Juri by the shoulders and looked her in the eye.
“Yuihan….” She removed her hands from her shoulders and avoided her eyes.
“Fine. I get it. I know you don’t want us to leave either but I guess it’s for the best. But how do I say this to everyone.” Juri asked. Yuihan’s phone kept on ringing so she answered the call.
“Hai. Hai. I understand.” She puts her phone down
“No need. There’s news is probably out, that’s why I texted you to go here so I can tell it to you directly.”
“EHHHHH? And what about our parents? How come no one told us about this beforehand?”
“We had a nondisclosure agreement during our meetings, we’re supposed to tell the student body next week but I guess the cat’s out of the bag” She shows Juri her phone.
BREAKING: PRESTIGIOUS AKS ARTS ACADEMY STUDENTS TO TRANSFER TO PD PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY IN KOREA! Details to follow.
The news apparently is out. And immediately, Juri’s phone began receiving notifications non-stop. She looked at the general manager with utmost seriousness.
“So you called me here to what? The news is out. You’re gonna use me again for damage control?” Juri said.
“You’re smart. But apparently yes. As student president, you still have to protect the image of the school as well. You’ll be doing interviews with the media with me. I trust that you won’t fail the school, okay?”
“And what about the students? You’re going to lose students at this rate.”
“Oh, we’ve already talked about that. The students also have an offer they can’t resist, each one of them will have an opportunity to get casted by an agency in Korea. You know our may be famous, but there are not a lot of opportunities that will get yours names out, not unless if you’re Sakura or Jurina. Think about your future.”
“But”
“What? I’ll be there with you guys to keep you all in check. The academy may be harsh and stern about what they do with the students but I’m here to watch over all of you. Trust us.” General Manager Yuihan took Juri’s hand and looked at her firmly.
“Fine. We can’t be out-of-school youths for a year anyways. Plus, everything is free. So nothing to worry about regarding financials. I just hope we don’t get bullied there, Yuihan. You know how bad our rivalries can get in Korea.” She said with a worried heart.
“Don’t worry. AKS Has you and your leadership. Rivalries or not, they’re still our sister school. They can’t hurt us and we can’t hurt them either. Thanks for hearing me out, Juri. Now, if you may, we have an interview in 2 hours. We have to prepare.”
What’s done is done, Juri thought. She’s gonna have to watch all the students while being a student herself in a different school. It’s tough and she hopes that it won’t be hard on her and everyone else. Yuihan would be there too, she’s reliable enough to be General Manager for the academy at a young age and surely she wouldn’t allow anything bad happen to anyone. Yuihan is everyone’s big sister anyways.
“Whatever. It’s only just a year.” She whispered.
