A mysterious creature from beyond the woods disturbed the peace that the Kim dynasty had maintained for over a thousand years. Determined to find and capture the creature, they set a trap for it. However, things didn’t proceed as planned and they lost one of their royal brother to the evil creature.

This caused taehyung to become cold and isolated, dead bent on avenging his brother’s death. Things were never the same as before but this changed with the creation of the smeraldo flower which was created to honour his dead brother. Su Jeong, a naive girl that moves to the capital was caught trying to pick the smeraldo flower from the royal garden. Taehyung sees this as an opportunity to use her as a bait in his plan to avenge his brother. However taehyung is caught between his dastardly plan and his key to happiness.
