When Ari entered the room, she sat on the first empty seat she saw, at the corner of the table so none of her friends would be able to sit next to her, she wanted to focus on class and not this mess right now. She wasn't mad at Rena or Jimin, but she just wanted to get away from them right now and not have to face the situation. Somebody was already sitting on her right though, she looked up and a familiar face came into view.

"Oh hey, it's you, Ari right?" It was Hanbin from art history.

"Oh yeah, and you're Hanbin, I remember, wait I thought you're an engineering major, what're you doing in econ?"

"Oh all engineers need to take it as an elective at some point," he replied.

"Oh alright," Ari said as she watched Rena, Jimin and Jungkook enter the room, they had been separated from her as she pushed her way to the front of the line while entering the class.

This was a big classroom and everyone was trying to get in at once. She looked at Jungkook and met his eyes, Ari looked away.

"So you're interested in art?" Ari asked to show Jungkook she couldn't care less about him and had other friends too.

"Well yeah, I at art but I like all the history behind it, actually I had been waiting on that class for so long, I guess someone finally dropped it today morning and I got it just before the deadline," he said.

He was right of course, and Ari knew just who had dropped that class. "Same I at art, but that doesn't mean I can't admire it," she replied.

"Who's she sitting with?" Jungkook asked Rena as they made their way to the seats behind Ari.

"Oh that's a guy we met in art history today," Rena told him.

Rena sat on the right corner directly behind Ari, Jungkook in the middle with Jimin on his right. "You met this guy this morning? Seems like they've known each other for years," said Jimin as they watched Ari talk with Hanbin.

"To be honest, yeah, they only said hi this morning, I didn't know they were friends either," Rena said doubtfully.

Jungkook shrugged, "Whatever"

The room quieted down as the Professor entered the room. The class went on as usual introductory classes do, near the end of class Professor announced, "So we will be having a research assignment, you can separate into groups of two or three and submit your papers two weeks before finals week on any important economic event to have taken place up to today's date. Once you've decided your groups, please send me an email or let me know your names after class, that's all for today"

"So you wanna be partners?" Hanbin turned to Ari and asked.

"Yeah sure," she replied with a smile. Ari didn't have many friends out of their little friend group like the others did, maybe Hanbin could finally be a start. They both walked out of class together, talking about their majors and previous semesters.

"Well I gotta run, I've got a class on the other side of campus," he said as they reached the entrance doors. Ari waved goodbye to him as Rena finally caught up with her. Jungkook and Jimin had already left for their next class.

"Hey!" Rena exclaimed as she pinched Ari on the arm.

"Ouch! I thought you'd stopped pinching people," Ari said in mild pain.

"It's a work in progress, anyways why have you been ignoring me all class?" Rena asked.

"I didn't mean to upset you, really, I just wanted to get away from that whole situation you know, and also I didn't plan to sit with Hanbin, that was a coincidence," Ari replied smoothly.
