Ting-a-ling-a-ling

“Hello, welcome too—“

The girl looked up from her purse and smiled at me. I couldn’t breathe and no it’s not because of the mask I’m wearing but the girl. Why am I reacting like this?

She looked up at the menu and put her finger on her lips. I was watching her and noticed that she was talking to me.

“Can I have one caffe latte and one caffe mocha?” she said smiling at me again. I nodded and made the coffee for her. I watched her sit on a table, she was looking at her phone probably texting someone.

I felt something hot hit my hand. I pulled my hand back and hissed. Aish this is what I get for not paying attention. I looked over the girl again and noticed that she didn’t see what happened. I ignored the pain and continued making her order.

When I was done I walked over to her with the two drinks and placed it on her table.

“Thank you” she said. I nodded, I was about to walk away but she grabbed my hand. I felt my heart beat rapidly.

“Omo what happened to your hand?” she asked. I didn’t say anything, being around her felt like I can’t speak especially when she’s holding my hand.

“You should put cold water on that okay” she said smiling at me before leaving the café.

I did what she told me to do.

I don’t know what happened today but I’ve never felt this way before. What’s going on?
