jennie gripped the hem of her skirt tightly, as she saw rosé come in. she felt her entire body go numb as she saw the younger girl before her. 

suddenly, kim taehyung grabbed her hand, putting it in between his palms. he smiled towards the cameras, squeezing her fingers slightly.

she snapped back to reality, ripping her eyes off the chestnut brown haired girl. taehyung held a large golden key towards jennie. 

her hands were trembling slightly, but she grabbed the other end of the key, finally facing the cameras, smiling.

taehyung laughed, "jennie and i will be linking not only arms but..." he said as he linked their arms together, "...but business companies as well! soon. not now. but i promise you all, this is an event to look forwards to in the very very near future. thank you!"

jennie dropped her fingers, right when her heart seemingly dropped too. taehyung chuckled, shooing the cameras away. instantly bodyguards and security men crowded around the two. he coldly regarded her, pointing at her with the key, "take her away. make sure the public doesn't see ...this mess." he walked away, flanked by guards, as he dangled the large gold key from his fingers.

the suited men took jennie away. away from rosé. away from her world. away from her life.

jennie's heart wrenched and writhed in pain as she saw tears slide down rosé's cheeks. 

"i'll come back for you...i promise..." she whispered between gritted teeth of pain and sadness. rosé's sad eyes burned into jennie's memory.
