“Here we go again” Nayeon thought as she looked at her girlfriend pacing back and forth in front of her with an annoyed expression.

 

Nayeon find it cute when Mina was annoyed and she still do but she’s is just as annoyed as her right now so nothing is amusing.

 

“Can you please stop” Nayeon asked, she’s getting dizzy from looking back and forth.

 

“Why did you do that?” Mina yelled, if it was even a yell.

 

“What did you want me to do? Let that bastard continue to flirt with you in front of me?!”

 

“My friends were there!” 

 

No matter how much Nayeon tried to get used to it, the pain always takes over her whenever Mina wanted to hide their relationship.

 

“When will you stop hiding me?” Nayeon mumbled as she looked at the floor. She can’t stare at Mina because she knows that when she do, the waterworks will come.

 

“I thought you understand. I am not ready yet” Mina said clearly sounding upset.

 

“I do” Nayeon looked at Mina this time, “I always do but what about me? Can’t you understand me? It hurts to see you with other guys. It hurts not to hold your hand in public or even go near you sometimes. It hurts not being able to tell everyone that you are mine but what hurts the most is when you deny me everytime and continue to smile like it did not even bother you to say that” 

 

Mina’s face fell. Nayeon knew she had hurt her but she did not care anymore. She needed to tell Mina her feelings or else she’ll explode. Explode from all the 

pain she kept within herself.

 

“I’m sorry” 

 

“You’re always sorry but nothing ever happens”. Nayeon stood up, before leaving Mina, she said “Talk to me when you have other things to say than sorry”.

 

Nayeon is alone in her room, she kept hidden under the folds of blanket on top of her, covering her whole body as she cry her eyes out. Mina and her do not usually fight because Nayeon kept on keeping her feelings to herself. 

 

“Why can’t she try to understand me? Why am I the only one who always try to understand her?” Nayeon thought to herself. She was tired, tired from everything, tired from Mina. She needed to take a break. A time for herself is what is best for her right now. For a week, she did not talk to Mina. She avoided her even though Mina tried to get her attention. 

 

“Still not talking?” Jihyo asked and Nayeon can only shook her head. They were sitting on the floor of Nayeon’s living room.

 

“I’m not ready yet. I want her to realize that I’m not always going to be the one to make this relationship work.”

 

Jihyo patted Nayeon’s back, “Everything will fall into place. I don’t know what will happen to you guys but you’ll get over this, I’m here for you” 

 

Nayeon hugged her bestfriend, “You really know how to make me feel better”

 

“Of course” Jihyo gave her a big smile.

 

Nayeon laid down on her bed when Jihyo went home, she grabbed her phone and checked on her social media accounts and saw a tweet from someone on Twitter.

 

“Being in love means being the happiest” 

-Momoring

 

Nayeon rolled her eyes. “Yeah right” she said to herself.

 

“If love is really equal to happiness then why am I hurting right now? I’m so in love yet I’m suffering” 

 

Nayeon scrolled after replying to the tweet. After some time, she got a notification and she saw that her reply was responded.

 

“True love is always tested, you can surpass challenges in your relationship if you still want to maintain it”

 

“How can I maintain our relationship if she is not trying to do anything to show me that she loves me? Yeah she always shower me with loving words but her actions are always different.” Nayeon thought. 

 

“What if I’m not happy anymore?”

 

Momoring did not reply anymore, some people replied to my tweets but Nayeon was only interested in Momoring’s opinion. She grew curious of her and started stalking her account.

 

Apparently this Momoring girl is japanese that lives in California. Based on her timeline, she loves to eat and tweet quotes that she probably got from movies and books. There not much personal details but there are pictures of her, “She’s beautiful” Nayeon thought as she kept scrolling from picture to picture. 

 

She did not reply back so Nayeon decided to stop surfing the net. Before she turned off her phone, a notification popped up.

 

“You changed your passwords and made all your account private, are you that mad at me?” Mina messaged her on twitter. 

 

Nayeon changed her password so that Mina cannot open her social media accounts and since Mina is not following her, she made her accounts private so her girlfriend won’t see what she had been doing. 

 

“I’m sorry” 

 

“If only I could believe your apologies” Nayeon replied.

 

Mina did not reply back, she probably was too hurt with how direct Nayeon was. Usually, it only takes 5 minutes for Nayeon to forgive her.

 

Later that day, Nayeon received a direct message from Momoring herself. She got curious to why the girl would message her.

 

“Hey, I hope you don’t find it weird that I messaged you. I just sensed that you need someone to talk to base from your replies on my tweet.” 

 

Nayeon find the action sweet. Momoring did not have to message her but she still did. 

 

“Ohh, well I did find it surprising but thank you for actually caring enough to message me”

 

“You’re welcome. You may not know me but you can trust me when I say I’m here for you”

 

Nayeon smiled, they may be strangers but somehow Nayeon feels comfortable with her.

 

“You can always talk to me too. Btw, is Momoring your real name?”

 

“Oh, No it’s not. My actual name is Momo. Is your name really Nabongs?”

 

Nayeon find herself smiling as she tried saying “Momo”.

 

“You have a really really cute name. My real name is Nayeon”

 

“You have a pretty name” Nayeon blushed at the compliment. 

 

Both of them stopped talking since Momo had to sleep because it was late. She enjoyed talking to Momo, it felt like she had made a friend even if they are thousand of miles away from each other. 

Nayeon was thankful to Momo because she can sleep with a smile tonight.

 

The morning came and Nayeon received good morning messages, one was from Mina of course but what surprised her was Momo also send her one. 

 

“Good morning to you too. I’m glad you still wanted to talk to me though we’re complete strangers” Nayeon send it after hesitating a lot.

 

She did not wait for a reply because she needed to prepare for school. Nayeon thought of what would happen today, she’d eventually see Mina in school. Nayeon shrugged the thought, she will eventually think of something later.

 

“You’re early” Jeongyeon said as Nayeon entered the room.

 

“Yeah, it feels surprisingly nice to be in school early. I did not have to push past a lot of people” 

 

“Duh, why do you think I always come early”

 

“Excuses, you’re just scared to come in late. You scaredy cat!” Nayeon put her tongue out. Noticing that Jeongyeon was readying herself, she made a run for it before the short hair girl can catch up.

 

Nayeon did not notice where she was going and ended up bumping into someone. Both of them fell down the floor. Nayeon felt the softness of the other person’s body and started to blush, she stood up and repeatedly apologized.

 

“I’m sorr—“ she did not get to finish her sentence when she saw who she bumped into. 

 

“Hey” Mina said smiling weakly. 

 

Nayeon mentally groaned to herself, the one person she was trying to avoid was right in front of her.

 

“Uh hey” Nayeon did not look at Mina, instead her eyes landed on the floor. “Sorry for bumping into you, I was not able to look at where I was going” 

 

“It’s okay” Mina grabbed Nayeon’s hands. Nayeon wanted to grab Mina and hugged her, she forgot how much she misses the girl’s touch. Instead she took her hand away from the other girl, she knew she had to stay stubborn or else nothing will change. She just wanted to see how Mina will put an effort to save their so called relationship. 

 

Nayeon was relieved when Jeongyeon went to them, this was one of those times that Nayeon was extemely thankful for having Jeongyeon by her side. 

 

“Excuse me, Hi. I’m a friend of this clumsy little here, I’m so sorry if she had hurt you in anyway” 

 

Nayeon scoffed, “If only Jeongyeon knew who really is hurting whom”. Of course she did not tell all her friends about her and Mina’s relationship. The only person they told about their relationship is Jihyo because she caught them in an intimate moment and because she was both their friend.

 

“It’s okay, I was not hurt.”

 

“That’s good to know” Jeongyeon said smiling. She has always been caring even with her playful demeanour.

 

“Let’s go, be careful next time” Jeongyeon reprimanded Nayeon.

 

“Fine mom!” Nayeon said smirking.

 

The short haired girl just rolled her eyes while checking to see if Nayeon got hurt. As Jeongyeon was doing so, Nayeon felt like someone was still looking at them and so she looked back at Mina and saw her staring at them with a frown. Nayeon focused her attention back to Jeongyeon but still felt herself smile at the thought of Mina getting jealous. 

 

Nothing eventful happened, her and Mina kept stealing glances at each other but they never talked. Nayeon went home immediately, she has nothing to do anyways. She looked through her accounts and saw Momo’s reply at her message a while ago. 

 

“I’m at school right now. Of course I’d still talk to you  and besides we are not strangers anymore. I know somethings about you and vice versa so we are practically friends right?”

 

Her lips turned upward as she read Momo’s message, she’s glad to have found a friend.

 

“Of course we’re friends!”

 

While Nayeon was on her way to the bathroom, her phone rang. She looked to see who the caller is.

 

-Penguin Minariii calling-

 

She was curious to why Mina was calling her so she answered it. “Why did you call?” Nayeon asked directly.

 

“No greetings? You hate me that much? Anyway, I called you because I miss hearing your voice” 

 

 

“I don’t hate you” Nayeon started, “I just don’t want to talk to you”

 

“Can’t we just go back to the way things were? I miss you and I’m jealous”

 

Nayeon knew the reason why Mina was jealous but she still wanted to hear the girl say it. She was happy that Mina was feeling what she has been feeling every time a guy hits on her girlfriend. 

 

“I’m jealous that you’re very soft and friendly to other people and then turn cold when it comes to me. I hate that you let Jeongyeon touch you but you won’t let your own girlfriend come near you”

 

Nayeon rolled her eyes, “selfish as ever” she thought as she listened to Mina. She’s glad that the girl misses her and wants her but she still does not get the point of why Nayeon is acting this way.

 

“You hurt me while others did not. If you finally learn then maybe I’ll come back to you” 

 

Nayeon ended the call not wanting to talk to her anymore, instead she check to see if Momo was online and to her luck, she is.

 

“How was your day?” Momo asked her as a reply to the one she sent earlier.

 

“Good. The girl I love whom I am avoiding right now got jealous when my friend was checking if I was okay”

 

“The girl likes you a lot then if she got jealous. Btw why did your friend check if you were okay?”

 

“Maybe. Ahh because I bump into that same girl and we both fell to the ground”

 

“Fate is interfering with your plans I see. Are you okay though? Did the fall hurt”

 

Nayeon smiled, she do not know if she was imagining things but she can feel the worry through the messages. 

 

“Yeah, I fell on top of her so I did not really got hurt. How was your day?”

 

“I’m glad you’re not hurt. Nothing much happened to me though, but I was picked as the main dancer for our upcoming performance”

 

This new information surprised Nayeon so she really wanted to see the girl perform, “I want to see you dance!” 

 

“Maybe someday. How about you? Do you know how to dance?”

 

Nayeon loves to sing and dance ever since she was a kid, she wanted to be an all time performer but right now she’s focusing on enhancing her vocals. 

 

“I can dance but singing is my passion. I’m sure yours is dancing” Momo sent a gif saying Nayeon was correct, it made her giggle. 

 

“I want to hear your voice someday”

 

“I want to see you dance someday. When we meet, let’s do a cover of something”

 

Nayeon had always wanted to do covers with somebody, she asked Mina once but the girl did not like to expose her talent though she was really great at singing.

 

“I actually did some dance covers, I was planning to make a youtube channel to post all my videos but I backed out”

 

“Whyyyyy?”

 

“I’m a coward. I don’t want to be judge by people”

 

“People will judge you no matter what you do. Don’t let them affect you. Besides if you really love dancing and you know you’re good at it then there’s nothing wrong to show it to the world. Who knows, you might inspire a few people” Nayeon smiled as she read the message she sent. She really wanted to push Momo out of her comfort zone and see how far the girl can go.

 

“What if people did not like it? What if no one will support me?”

 

Nayeon cannot answer the first question, she also does not know if people would like Momo but if she is being picked as the main dancer then the girl got talent.

 

“Look, I don’t know if people will like you because we all have different preferences but always know that I’ll support you and be your number one fan” she said honestly.

 

On the other side of the world, California to be exact, Momo was blushing as she read Nayeon’s messages. She was happy to have someone, that is not a family member, supporting her with her passion.

 

“Thank you! You’re giving me a lot of courage right now” she replied. 

 

“Tell you what, if you continue with your plan. I would join the glee club. Our glee club has their own youtube channel where they post videos of them singing as a whole or solo videos, plus they always enter competitions. We are both taking risk here so don’t worry.”

 

Momo smiled as she can see through Nayeon’s messages that she is really trying hard to push her to doing the youtube thing.

 

“Ok ok, We’ll try to achieve both our dreams together. Promise me we’d both support each other and never leave?” Momo said, she knew promises are easily broken but somehow she is putting trust to Nayeon that the girl won’t break theirs. 

 

Nayeon pumped her fist as she accomplished her mission, she really wanted to see Momo’s cover and she knows that the girl will be amazing. She promised Momoring and Nayeon never breaks her promises, never. 

 

They both fell asleep feeling nervous for tomorrow. They will both start doing what thy said they would do and neither of them intend to back down.

 

“You’re auditioning?” Jihyo asked smiling, she had been convincing Nayeon ever since she heard her sing. She’s glad that finally Nayeon is starting to get the courage to show her talent.

 

“Yes, I have to. I promised someone that I’d go through with this” This made Jihyo curious as to who that person is.

 

“She’s a girl I met online” Nayeon said knowing Jihyo wanted to ask her who that someone is.

 

“A girl huh?” Jihyo said wiggling her eyebrows in a teasing manner.

 

“Ohh shut up” Nayeon rolled her eyes, “She’s a friend”

 

Jihyo just let it go, not wanting to annoy her. “How about you and Mina? Any progress?” Nayeon just shook her head.

 

Both girls sighed and just dropped the subject. They both went inside the auditorium where the glee club was currently having an audition. 

 

“Good luck, you don’t need it though. You’d get in for sure” Jihyo told Nayeon before going to where the judges are. Nayeon inhaled and exhaled to calm her raging nerves as she positioned herself at the middle of the stage.

 

She closed her eyes, not thinking about anything then suddenly Momo popped in her head. She smiled and remembered her promise to the girl. She opened her eyes once again and started to sing. The audience was silent, they were mesmerized by Nayeon’s voice. You can see everyone listening, no one dared to speak. As Nayeon ended the last verse, everyone stood up and clapped their hands making the girl blushed and flustered. 

 

While Nayeon was busy with her own audition, Momo was a nervous wreck. She had already made a youtube account but did not post anything yet. She kept hesitating when she was about to click upload. 

 

“Can I do this?” she asked to herself. Momo sighed as her fingers tremble and her heart beating fast. 

 

“Maybe I shouldn’t” she said but then she remembered Nayeon, she can’t break her promise. She closed her eyes and slowly pressed the enter button. It took about five minutes to fully upload the whole video. 

 

“I did it!” Momo shouted smiling. She can’t contain her happiness. She finally had the courage to do the thing she always wanted and it was all because of her number one fan. She reminded herself to tell Nayeon when she gets home.

 

“What are you doing Unnie?” Chaeyoung asked as she saw Momo so focused on her laptop. 

 

“Ohh Chaeyoung! I made my own youtube account and uploaded my very first dance cover” she said excitedly which made the younger girl smile. 

 

“Really? I never thought you’d actually follow me when I told you to make your own covers”

 

Chaeyoung was the first one to notice Momo’s talent and ever since then, she would always tell her to make her own videos, not knowing that Momo would take it seriously. 

 

“Thank you for telling me to do it”

 

Chaeyoung blushed at Momo’s intense gaze, “Y-you’re welcome. I should be thankful for whoever or whatever pushed you to post it on youtube”

 

This time it was Momo who turned red and the younger girl noticed it, “So there is someone”

 

“Uh yeah. She’s a new friend I made online”

 

Chaeyoung asked more about the girl Momo met and she happily answered all of them. The younger girl can feel something from the way Momo describes Nayeon but did not say anything. She wanted the girl to notice it herself.

 

When Momo got home, she instantly went online to chat Nayeon. The girl messaged her about getting in the glee club. Momo wanted to hug her and tell her how happy she is for her. 

 

“I’m glad you did! I’ll be expecting videos of you singing okay? Send me your club’s youtube channel. Btw I uploaded my dance cover of one of SNSD’s song”

 

Nayeon received the message as she was riding the bus on her way home. She cannot wait so she immediately went to the youtube channel that Momo send. There was only one video right now. She pressed on the video and watched, her eyes never leaving Momo. Something about her, about the way she dance captured Nayeon’s attention. After finishing, she saw the amount of likes and views which made her smile like a fool. “Wow!” she shouted, unable to contain her excitement which made the passengers look at her weirdly but Nayeon did not care.

 

“You were awesome! People like you already” Nayeon said as she sent her screen shot of Momo’s dance cover.

 

“I did not expect people to like it that much” Momo said, amazed that people are watching her.

 

“I told you people will love you. You’re amazing” Nayeon replied just in time to get off the bus. “Hey I got to go. As much as I want to talk more, I’m kinda walking right now” 

 

“Ok. Be careful while walking” the japanese girl reprimanded.

 

Nayeon smiled at the girl’s concern, she started to walk towards the place she was staying and when she got there, Mina was standing at her front door holding what seems to be a box.

 

“Are you out of your mind?” Nayeon said as soon as she’s near her. “Come inside” 

 

Both of them went inside, Nayeon immediately opened the heater for Mina. Mina smiled at her as a sign of gratitude.

 

“Why are you here? You might catch a cold waiting outside!”

 

Nayeon was pissed, not because Mina was here but because she was worried for her girlfriend. Even though they are fighting, deep down she still cares for her.

 

Mina smiled seeing how worried Nayeon is for her, it assured her that her girlfriend still cares for her. “I want to congratulate you for getting in the glee club” she said as she opened the box containing a chocolate cake with the word congrats written on it.

 

“You could have congratulate me tomorrow”

 

“I was excited” Mina said smiling sheepishly. 

 

Nayeon could not stop the smile forming on her face, this is one of the reason why she fell in love with the girl in front of her. 

 

Momo got worried as she waits for the korean girl’s reply. It has been almost an hour and still she got no reply from the girl. She decided to message her once again. 

 

“Enjoying your walk? Lolss. Seriously, I’m not impatient or anything. I’m just worried”

 

After about three minutes, she got a reply back. “Hey sorry. My girlfriend is here at my place right now so I was not able to message you back. I’ll talk to you later okay? I’m waiting for her to go home”

 

Somehow Momo felt as though someone pinch her hard, she can’t deny the fact that she was jealous. Over the days of them talking, Momo developed a crush on Nayeon knowing full well that she has girlfriend so right now, she can only blame herself for being sad.

 

“You two on good terms? That’s good. Take your time. I’m going to rest for a while”Momo decided to sleep, she was in no mood to talk to anyone after that.

 

Back in Korea, Nayeon was telling Mina to go home since it was late but the latter refuses. “I want to sleep here with you” she said.

 

Nayeon blushed at the thought of them sleeping together on her bed but she quickly brushed the thought, “I can’t let you sleep here”

 

“Why not?” Mina pouted.

 

“Don’t pout please” Nayeon beg through her mind, if this last longer, she might not stop herself from attacking the girl with kisses. “I’m busy. You’re distracting”

 

“Distracting huh?” Mina winked.

 

“Just please go” 

 

Mina rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed that she could not persuade her girlfriend. She got up and started to leave but stopped when Nayeon grabbed her arm. Mina’s mind was filled with hope.

 

“Do you have a car?” 

 

Mina was disappointed, she thought Nayeon would let her stay. “No” she replied sassily.

 

“Fine, sleep here tonight”, Nayeon knew she could not let Mina go home alone this time of night. 

 

“Thank you!” Mina said hugging her girlfriend but Nayeon quickly pulled away. She watch as Nayeon took a pillow and a blanket and placed it on a couch. 

 

“I’m sleeping on the couch” 

 

With that, Mina frowned and tried to persuade Nayeon to sleep with her on the bed but the girl refused. Sighing, Mina went to bed and faced the wall. Nayeon knew that she was upset but let it go, she sat on the couch and check if Momo messaged her. 

 

“Sorry, I could not let her go home at this time of night. I’ll make it up to you tomorrow okay? Good night and sleep well” Nayeon messaged her. 

 

Nayeon was disappointed for not being able to talk to Momo, she was pretty excited to tell her about the glee club and about Momo’s dance cover. 

 

“Good morning” 

 

Nayeon groaned at the voice. As she opened her eyes, she saw a Mina staring at her with a smile. Nayeon almost leap due to surprise.

 

“Why haven’t you left yet?” She was used to Mina always leaving early when they were on good terms. She was like a one night stand that does not want to be seen by the girl she had with early in the morning. 

 

“I thought of waiting for you, let’s go to school together” 

 

“Are you serious?” Nayeon was completely taken aback, “You used to not want for us to be seen together before so people won’t get suspicious”

 

Mina frowned, “I know and I was wrong.” Nayeon’s heart almost jumped for joy, thinking that Mina finally realized what she did wrong, “Girls always hang out all the time, no one will suspect us” Mina added. Nayeon felt like wanting to punch something, all the hope she had awhile ago was far gone. 

 

“I don’t want to go to school with you” Nayeon said coldly.

 

“But why?” 

 

“Can you just leave? I told you yesterday that I only let you stay because it was already late. You can go now”

 

Mina felt hurt with what her girlfriend was saying but she wanted to know what’s wrong and why she had suddenly change her attitude.

 

“Just tell me why? Why are you being like this?”

 

“Find out yourself” Nayeon said walking inside the bathroom. She locked herself inside, waiting for Mina to leave. After hearing the front door open and close, she  decided to exit the bathroom. 

 

Nayeon sighed, she was hoping not to fight with Mina but faith was against her. Instead of thinking about that, she checked to see if Momo was already awake but the girl still had not reply to her messages. 

 

Momo was pacing back and forth inside her dorm room as she looked at her phone. “I should answer her messages right? I mean she did nothing wrong yesterday but here I am not wanting to talk to her” Momo said to herself. Good thing her roommate  Chaeyoung left early. 

 

“Hey Momo, good morning to you!” 

 

Momo saw the message which made her smile. She’s really happy that Nayeon messaged her though she did not reply yesterday.

 

“Good morning to you too hehe”

 

“Finally, thank you. You’re the only one who made me smile this morning” Momo’s heart skip a beat and she hated it.

 

“Why? Something bad happened?”

 

“Yeah, my girlfriend and I got into a fight again. I’m tired of always arguing with her”

 

Momo can feel the tiredness by reading the Nayeon’s message and all she want is to comfort the girl.

 

“Things will be okay between you two” Momo replied though it breaks her heart to tell Nayeon that.

 

“I doubt that but anyway, I don’t want to talk about her. How are you?”

 

Momo was relieved that they stopped talking about Nayeon’s girlfriend or else her heart might stop from beating. 

 

“I’m fine. The dance cover went viral which made me so happy!”

 

Nayeon was smiling as she read Momo’s message. She was really proud of her and honestly she wanted to go to California and celebrate with Momo.

 

“I want to go there and hug you right now. I’m so proud of you!” Nayeon said truthfully which made Momo blushed from cheek to cheek.

 

“I wish you were here too, beside me and not there with your girlfriend” Momo thought.

 

“I wish you’re here too so I can hear you sing live. I bet you have an angelic voice” It was Nayeon’s turn to blush.

 

“I’ll try sending you a voice message to prove how wrong you are” she joked.

 

“I can’t wait to hear it so I can say I told you so” 

 

Nayeon sang the chorus of Taeyeon’s song called “I” and send it to Momo. She was nervous of the girl’s reaction while on the other hand, Momo was extremely captivated with the girl’s voice. 

 

“You’ve rendered me speechless” Momo said truthfully. She cannot describe how she feels after hearing Nayeon, for her it was perfect.

 

“W-was it good?” Nayeon typed with trembling hands. Usually she’s confident with herself but right now she cannot even  ask a simple question without her heart beating faster than a running car. 

 

“Good? It’s incredible!”

 

Nayeon breathed a sigh of relief and instantly smiled, happy that Momo loved her voice. She did not want to disappoint her. 

 

“I hope we can meet someday and hang out” Momo said. She really wanted to meet Nayeon in person.

 

“I want that as well, I’ll start saving money so I can go there and meet you” Nayeon mentally promised herself to do everything she can so she can meet Momo.

 

“I’d do that too”

 

Both of them started saving money, they wanted their dream of meeting each other to come true and nothing will stop them from making it happen.

 

“Unnie are you broke?” Tzuyu said to Momo as they were eating at the cafeteria. Momo was muching on some crackers and almost choke due to the question.

 

“Why did you think that?!” 

 

Tzuyu shrugged, “I don’t know. You seem to spend less. You don’t buy as much food as you used to”

 

Momo chuckled, she knew people would get suspicious of her. “No I’m not broke. I’m just saving money”

 

“Why? Are you saving for that new type of restaurant that would open next week?” 

 

“No silly. I have somewhere I want to go”

 

Tzuyu’s mouth parted, “You’re stopping yourself from eating so you could go somewhere?” She was beyond surprised. Momo has never stopped herself from buying whatever she wants even when she’s saving for something before. “That place must be very special for you then”

 

Momo nodded, “Kind of. I really want to go there and besides I promised myself that I’d do my best”

 

Tzuyu respected Momo’s efforts in trying to fulfill her promise to herself, she even bought her a beverage drink since Momo has been drinking only water since last week. “I’m proud of you”, she said.

 

However, Nayeon was busy trying to find a job. Her allowance from her parents is only enough for her daily needs so she needed the extra income if she wants to save money.

 

Her phone rang as she was just leaving her apartment. She closed the door while placing her phone on her ear.

 

“Unnie!” Dahyun’s loud voice was heard and some background noises.

 

“Hey Dahyuniee, why are you calling?” Nayeon asked, she did not want to be rude or something but she really was on a rush today.

 

“I miss you!”, this made her smile. Dahyun has always been expressive like that.

 

“I miss you too baby girl, but I need to go. Do you need something?” 

 

“Awww where are you going?” Dahyun whined at the other end of the line.

 

“Going to look for a job”

 

“A job?  Why do you need money?”

 

“I need to save money for something. I really have to go, I have an interview and I cannot be late”

 

Dahyun understands and ended the phone call, not before saying how much she missed her and that they should hang out more which Nayeon promised to do.

 

On her way to the job interview, she tried to calm and prepare herself. “You can do it” she mentally says to herself with every step she makes.

 

Arriving at where the food truck is, Nayeon saw a huge line of hungry people and a girl frantically preparing all their orders. Nayeon went inside the truck and put on an apron. “Why did she not lock the door?” Nayeon thought when entering.

 

“Excuse me, who are you?” the girl asked her, her eyes not leaving the customers.

 

“I’m Nayeon, I was about to donan interview here but might as well help you first” 

 

The girl did not protest since she knew that Nayeon was correct and she really needed help. Nayeon quickly understood the basics and both of them worked in synched.

 

“You okay?” Nayeon asked when they have served all the customers.

 

“Yeah, a bit tired” she said panting.

 

“Ohh well then, is the manager there? I think I’m still a bit early for our interview”

 

The girl smiled and handed her hand for Nayeon to shake, “You’re hired” she said.

 

Nayeon took a few seconds to realize what the girl had said, “You’re the manager? Oh gosh. Um t-thank you!” she said, all the confidence leaving her body.

 

“Thank you for helping me, btw you can call me Sana”

 

Nayeon smiled at how kind Sana is, “Nice to meet you”

 

“You too, I’ll give you a raise for helping me today”

 

“Thank you! I really need the money”

 

“No worries babe” Sana winked which made Nayeon blush. Her new manager can be smooth.

 

Nayeon took a picture of the place where she’s working, the food truck is big and clean. The ingredients for the food is stored in containers and there is a mini refrigerator inside where the frozen food is placed.

 

She sended the picture to Momo, telling her how excited she is about her new job and about saving money for their meet-up. She also sended a picture of herself pretending to cook.

 

“You look great, I hope you don’t tire yourself just because we’re saving money.” Momo replied. She does not want Nayeon to get sick from tiredness.

 

“Nah, I’m glad to be doing this. Besides it’s for both of us”

 

Momo felt her cheeks heat up from the word “us”. “I wish there is an us” she thought but then reminded herself that Nayeon has a girlfriend.

 

“Can we do a video call?” Momo asked, mustering up all her courage.

 

“Sure!” 

 

Momo pressed the button for the video call and waited for Nayeon to answer it. As soon as Nayeon’s face plastered on the screen, Momo’s heart palpitated faster than usual and cold sweats travel down her back.

 

“Hii Momoring!” Nayeon said excitedly, ignoring the constant rapid beating of her heart.

 

“H-hi Nayeon” Momo replied blushing.

 

“You’re so pretty! Omg, what more if I see you in person” she said truthfully, Momo was beyond gorgeous. She’s a goddess.

 

“Said by Aphrodite herself” it was Nayeon’s turn to blush. 

 

They talked about a lot of stuff, trying to get to know each other more. Nayeon found out that Momo was really an introvert person, she does not like talking to phones. It somewhat made Nayeon feel special that she wanted to do a video call with her. Momo found out that Nayeon is really an easy going type of person and bubbly. She loves to smile and laugh which made the japanese girl smile as well.

 

 

“Can you sing for me?” Momo asked shyly as she avoid looking at Nayeon’s eyes. The latter found it cute.

 

They were both silent for a minute then the sound of Nayeon singing was the only thing heard. Momo was not able to stip herself from staring at her,’she blushed when she saw Nayeon staring back as though the song is dedicated for her. 

 

“Your turn” Nayeon said after singing a whole chorus.

 

“My turn?”

 

Nayeon nodded, “Sing”.

 

“Wait what? But I can’t sing” Momo whined.

 

“Everyone can sing” Nayeon persuaded, “Please, for me”

 

Momo could not refuse, she ignored her nervousness and breathed heavily. Once she composed herself, she started singing a song called Like A Fool. Nayeon was captivated, she felt like Momo was staring right at her soul. 

 

She was speechless and the only thing on her mind right now is kissing Momo. Nayeon did notnknow why that popped up in her mind but it did. The thought made her blush like a fool in front of Momo.n

 

“I—“

 

“D-did you like it?” Nayeon could only nod, still trying to erase the thought in her mind.

 

Momo breathed a sigh of relief, “Thank God. I thought I sounded horrible.”

 

“How can such a perfect human like you exist” Nayeon found herself asking, making Momo look like a tomato.

 

“Shut up” Momo said, covering her whole face so Nayeon could not see how red she was.

 

Nayeon was about to speak when Sana came in and interrupted them, “Who’s this?” she asked as she looked at Nayeon’s phone.

 

“Uh she’s my friend, Momo, this is Sana. She’s my manager. Sana, meet Momo.”

 

“Hi” Sana winked which was noticed by Nayeon.

 

“Umm H-hi, sorry for disturbing Nayeon while she’s on duty”

 

“No worries, if a pretty girl like you is the one calling then I don’t mind though I wish I was the one you’re calling” Momo felt herself blush, she was never great at compliments though she preferred hearing those words from Nayeon.

 

Sana continued to flirt with Momo and Nayeon felt irritated by it. She wanted to end the video call just so they would not be able to talk.

 

“Um Momo, can we talk some other time. I really need to get back to my job” Nayeon said clearly wanting to end the call.

 

“You’re ending the call already but I haven’t fully met her yet” Sana said pointing to Momo. Nayeon was happy that Momo did not say her name to her manager.

 

“Maybe some other time” Momo said to Sana, smiling politely.

 

“I’ll make sure there won’t be a next time” Nayeon thought but quickly shrugged it off. She had no right to get jealous. She did not even understand why she’s jealous, Momo is not her girlfriend.

 

“Bye” Nayeon said and ended the call after waving at Momo.

 

“I’m sorry, I’ll video call another time okay? I was not comfortable talking to you with my manager whom I just met” Nayeon sent to Momo then quickly hid her phone.

 

Sana let Nayeon go home early since she has something to do. She went home exhausted from working alone but was still happy that she got to talk to Momo through video call. She pressed the recorder app from her phone and played the record of Momo singing. She listened to it until she fell asleep, not knowing that Momo also did the same thing. Both of them fell in a deep sleep.

 

They woke up feeling well rested as they start their day listening to each other’s voices once again, it brought them energy to face the whole day.

 

“You’re on your phone most of the time” Jeongyeon said as her and Nayeon are walking at the hallway.

 

Nayeon stopped typing, she send her good morning message to Momo. She smiled then put back her phone in her back pocket. “I guess you could say, I have someone whom I really want to talk to everyday”

 

Jeongyeon looked intently at her friend who just continued walking, smiling like a fool. “Aha!” the short haired girl shouted. 

 

“What?” Nayeon asked looking back at Jeongyeon.

 

“You have a crush”

 

Nayeon blushed at the thought of Momo and her and undeniable crush for the japanese girl.

 

“See! You’re blushing!” 

 

“Shut up” Nayeon said still smiling, she knew she can’t deny it though.

 

“Nayeon has a crush! Nayeon has a crush” Jeongyeon sang, teasing her friend.

 

“You have a crush?” a voice said which was very familiar to Nayeon.

 

“You’re eavesdropping on us?” Nayeon accused.

 

“No. I-i just heard it since Jeongyeon was very loud” Nayeon glared at Jeongyeon who just shrugged.

 

“Mina right? Yeah Nayeon here has a crush on someone” Jeongyeon put an arm around Nayeon’s shoulder and tickled her.

 

“S-stop it” Nayeon said laughing.

 

“Um that’s good to know. Uh see you” Mina said trying hard not to stutter. She quickly left the two as she felt herself not being able to hold back the tears.

 

“What happened to her?” Jeongyeon asked, clearly worried for Mina.

 

“I don’t know” Nayeon lied as her eyes followed the girl running away from them. Instead of running after her, Nayeon walked away with Jeongyeon. 

 

“Nayeon can we talk?” Mina asked when school is over.

 

“I can’t. I need to go to work” Nayeon continued to walk away.

 

“Please!”

 

Nayeon sighed, she knew she still can’t say no to her. She texted Sana to tell her she will be late.

 

“What do you want to talk about now?” Both of them were sitting at the bleachers, staring at the wide field filled with people hanging out.

 

“Is it true?” 

 

Nayeon looked at Mina, telling her to clarify her question.

 

“Do you really have someone else?”

 

Nayeon shifted her gaze, she could not lie. She had to tell the truth, when she was about to speak, Mina cut her off.

 

“So you really do huh?” Mina gave a sad smile which genuinely hurt Nayeon.

 

“I-i’m sorry. I did not mean to like someone else”

 

“Do you love this person?”

 

Nayeon could not answer, not because she was guilty but because she do not know the answer to the question. “Do I love her?” she asked herself.

 

“Silence means yes?” Mina said.

 

“N-no! I...” Nayeon looked back at her, “I don’t know” 

 

Mina smiled sadly, she looked away and sat down on the ground, “Usually when I ask you if you like someone, you’d straight up deny it and I’d always feel relieved but right now.. I can really feel that you’re no longer mine” Nayeon cannot deny that. Instead she let Mina talk.

 

“Can’t you be mine again? Can’t we go back to the way we used to be? When it’s just the two of us?”

 

Nayeon closed her eyes, massaging her temple. “You don’t know how much I’ve wanted to get back together with you.”

 

“Then why didn’t you?”

 

“Because you still don’t understand why. You’re so naive, you don’t know how much I’m willing to sacrifice for you. Even my own happiness”

 

Nayeon felt a hand holding hers, “I’m willing to do anything, just please come back to me. I love you! I love you so much” Nayeon heard Mina say in between sniffles.

 

Mina put her hand on Nayeon’s cheek as she slowly faced her, the latter opened her eyes and slowly Mina leaned forward. As their lips touched, Nayeon could not help herself. Her hands went behind Mina’s head and gently push her forward. After a couple minutes, they parted while panting heavily.

 

Neither one of them can look each other in the eyes, they were blushing furiously because of the kiss. They did not know how to address each other. 

 

“Um, what happens now?” Nayeon asked. 

 

“Give me one more chance. I promise, I would change” Mina said looking determined.

 

Nayeon hesistated since she suddenly thought of Momo and her growing feelings towards the girl but agreed afterwards. “Mina deserves the second chance. Who knows maybe she will really change” she thought to herself.

 

“Well then, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Mina said after walking Nayeon home. She pecked the latter’s cheek before walking away.

 

Nayeon sighed as she went inside, she do not feel as happy as she thought she would be. Her phone rang which surprised her, as she saw the name of the caller, she felt cold sweats ran through her back. She hesitated before answering the call.

 

“H-hey” Nayeon cursed herself for stuttering.

 

“Hii Nabongs!” 

 

Thump! Nayeon felt her heart beat when Momo called her by her nickname.

 

“Why did you call M-momoring?”

 

“I miss you”

 

Thump!

 

“I miss you too”

 

“I have to tell you something” Nayeon said, she couldn’t keep shut. She needs to tell Momo that she got back together with her girlfriend, she does not know why she was so worried. Maybe she do not want to see Momo happy for her. 

 

“I-i have to tell you something to”

 

“You go first” Nayeon said, trying to delay her big news.

 

“No. You first”

 

She sighed, “My girlfriend and I are okay again”

 

Nayeon thought she saw hurt in Momo’s eyes but doubt herself when Momo smiled and said, “Congratulations! I’m proud of you! I told you, true love can face anything”

 

Nayeon felt her heart break, she could not handle  Momo being happy for her when all Nayeon wanted to do was kiss Momo and tell her how much she likes her.

 

“I have to go. My uh my mom is calling me” Momo said and hanged up.

 

Momo, who was so ready to tell Nayeon how she felt, was sitting on her bed while crying her heart out. She wanter to be happy for Nayeon, she really does but she just couldn’t fake her emotions right at that moment. 

 

Days passed, Momo and Nayeon started not talking to each other but there was never a time when they would miss each other’s company. At times, Nayeon would forgot that she was with Mina and would daydream about Momo. 

 

“Hey babe? Babe!”

 

Nayeon shook her head, “Huh?”

 

“You’re not even listening to me” Mina said pouting.

 

“I’m sorry, what are you talking about?”

 

Mina’s face sadden, “Nevermind” 

 

They continued to watch tv when Mina speak again, “Do you still love me?”

 

Nayeon was surprised at the sudden question, once again she could not answer. 

 

“I—“

 

“Let’s break up” Mina said standing up.

 

“Wait what?”

 

Mina faced Nayeon, tears streaming diwn her face. It broke the latter to see Mina hurting.

 

Mina smiled sadly, “I love you which is why I’m doing this. Ever since you got back together with me, I felt like I’m sharing you with someone else and now, I feel like I’m completely losing you.”

 

“I’m sorry Mina. I just.. I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. I really really wanted to get back together with you but when we finally did, I didn’t feel as happy as I thought I would be” Nayeon said unable to look at Mina.

 

“I know. I know you’re trying hard to make us work again. Maybe I was just too late. Now you have someone occupying your heart right?” Nayeon nodded, she could not deny it anymore. She fell in love with Momo. 

 

“Then I hope you two will be happy with each other. Just remember that I’ll always love you” Mina leaned in to kiss Nayeon one last time before finally leaving her.

 

Nayeon spend that day crying, the fact that she hurt Mina made her feel like . She wanted to talk to someone but Momo and her are still not talking.

 

“Can I talk to you?” she accidentally send to Momoring.

 

Later that day, Nayeon received a call from Momo, she was so nervous and thought about not taking it but she did.

 

“Hey”

 

Momo saw Nayeon’s red and puffy eyes, “Have you been crying?” she asked.

Nayeon nodded, knowing she could not hide it.

 

“Why?”

 

“I miss you so much” Nayeon said.

 

Momo felt the sincerity in Nayeon’s voice, she wanted to hug her and tell her how much she miss her but she can’t. 

 

“How are you and Mina?” Momo said trying to change the subject.

 

“We..” Nayeon paused, “We broke up”

 

“Wait what? Why?” Momo wondered if that is the reason why Nayeon was crying. She thought she’d be happy but seeing her hurting made Momo feel sad as well.

 

“Because I fell in love with someone else” 

 

“Who?” Momo felt nervous, she don’t know if she can handle the pain again. When Nayeon told her that she got back together with her girlfriend, she spend her days wallowing in the darkness. She was not motivated to do anything. She just laid on her bed, thinking of Nayeon.

 

“If I tell you, promise me you’d still continue to talk to me”

 

Momo does not know if she can promise that but the curiousity is eating her, “I promise”

 

Nayeon sighed, “When I first met you, I had problems with my ex, I really love her so much back then. As we got to know each other, I started to pay more attention to you than I do with her and before I knew it” she paused and looked at Momo’s eyes, “I started falling for you”

 

Momo was beyond speechless, she opened to say something but then close it again.

 

“I’m sorry. I just couldn’t stop myself, you’re way too irresistable. Are you mad?”

 

Momo shook her head, “I’m not”, she smiled and continued, “How could I when those were the words I’ve wanted to hear from you evern since I fell in love with you”

 

It was Nayeon’s turn to be surprised, “You’re not joking right?”

 

“No Nabongs, I’m not”

 

The two felt extremely happy with the sudden revelations. They don’t know what do, they want to see each other in person and share a passionate kiss but they can’t. 

 

“I wish you were here”

 

“Me too, you don’t know how much I want to hug you right now”

 

“Just hug?”

 

Momo blushed which made Nayeon smiled, “Aww Momoring is blushing”

 

The two started dating, they would always call each other and would make time for each other.

 

“Momoring I miss you” Nayeon said after going home from a tiring day. It was evening, this is the only time Nayeon can call her girlfriend.

 

“I miss you too baby” Momo said huskily, she fell asleep from waiting.

 

“Did you fell asleep?”

 

“A bit”

 

“Aww do you want to sleep? I’ll call you tomorrow” Nayeon said, she felt bad from disturbing Momo’s rest.

 

“No, I’m glad you called. Please talk to me more” Momo said smiling sweetly. She won’t let anything stop her from talking to her girlfriend, no matter how sleepy she is.

 

The two talked all night, ignoring their sleepy and tiredness self. As long as they could talk to each other and spend time with each other. They slept dreaming of the day that they can finally live in the same house.

 

“One day we will” they said to themselves as they start their day feeling energized.
