Chapter 1/?

Wendy struts down the hall, passing through throngs of students as she dusts off the remaining snowflakes on her jacket, adjusting her grey Jansport properly before walking towards her lecture hall.

Entering the hall, she spotted her best friend, sitting comfortably at the back of the room.

“Is it possible for someone to look that gorgeous day by day?” Jennie props her elbow and stares at the beauty sitting two tables in front of her. Wendy raises an eyebrow as she sits next to the latter.

“What?”

Jennie sighs, prying her eyes off her subject of affection “My heart is in pain. I don’t think I can handle this anymore Wen. I’m going to confess my undying love to my Queen and we’re going to live happily ever after like Romeo and Juliet”

Wendy takes out her notes, not really paying attention-she refused to actually-  to whiny Jennie next to her “Romeo and Juliet died Jen”

“Right. We’ll be like Bonnie and Clyde”

“They were gun down”

“… right. Like Anna and Hans then”

“Hans tried to kill Anna Jen”

Jennie ruffles her hair, and pulls the collar of Wendy’s shirt abruptly “This is exactly my point! I’m going crazy Wen” She releases her grip and slams her head on the table

Wendy huffs in annoyance “Yah, my neatly iron shirt…”

One familiar chuckle hits Jennie’s eardrum softly, Jennie tilts her head upfront and rest her chin on the table, grazing the beauty that is Kim Jisoo. The-oh-so beautiful Kim Jisoo who’s rocking the brightly yellow blouse, with that sinful skinny jeans and heels. Laughing –oh-so beautifully with a bunch of dimwits that Her Queen claims as her friends.

“Such perfection” she whispers under her breath. Wendy smiles, caressing the latter’s head “So when are you planning to tell her that?”

“Never. She’s way out my league”

You see ladies and gentleman, if you were to ask other students, most of them would say the opposite of Jennie’s statement. Contrary to what Jennie had said to Wendy, people might say that Jennie is the one who’s out of Jisoo’s league. Jennie whom might not be the brightest student, she is no doubt one of the popular kid around.

“Okay class, that’s all for today. Remember, I want the paper on my desk by Monday” Professor Irene’s voice echoed in the hall. Receiving a ‘roger that’ response from most of the students.

The Canadian girl arranges her notes properly in her bag and notices her best friend still has her eyes fixates on the other Kim.

“You look at her, look at her Wen” Jennie shakes Wendy’s shoulder vigorously which causes the latter snickers “My God Jen, you’re so damn hopeless I can’t even”

“She’s so elegant… exquisite even”

“You know what, let’s talk to her. We should ask her out or something” Wendy starts pulling Jennie’s arm which obviously the latter pulls her hand back

“Are you crazy Wendy?? I can’t talk to her!” Jennie whispers sternly “Look at me, I’m a mess. I look like right now”

Wendy rolls her eyes. “You’re wearing Gucci. What are you blabbing about?? Stop fidgeting too much. Jisoo is going to think you’re weirder than you already are”

Before the New Zealander protest any further, the Canadian girl waves and calls out Jisoo’s name, practically dragging her best friend towards her girl-crush.

Tucking her hair behind her ear, Kim Jisoo smiles at her hamster looking classmate, “Hey Wendy” she turns her gaze towards Wendy’s company. Jennie Kim, the dollish and glamorous looking girl.  Jisoo can never understand the stoic girl who’s standing in front of her. Jennie Kim possess an adorable face but somehow the latter’s resting face is pretty apparent and appear more obvious.

Even though they have known each other for 2years, Jennie Kim never talk to her. Like, they never have a full blown conversation before. That doesn’t help the situation when they have never been paired up for any assignment. It’s quite unfortunate event. Jisoo wanted to at least befriended the latter, since whenever she catch a glimpse of Wendy talking to Jennie, there’s this warmness that Jennie portrays that drawn Jisoo.

“Hi Jennie” Jisoo utters, giving a genuine smile for the latter. Jennie hums and nods her head slightly. There’s a redish hue on her face that Jisoo couldn’t help but notice. 

Is she sick?

“What’s up Wen?”

“Do you have anything after this? We’re planning to have lunch at the new café nearby. I’m sick of looking at Jennie’s face..”

‘hey! Don’t be mean” Jennie nudges Wendy elbows. Jisoo beams at the small interaction.

“Sorry Wendy, I would love to, but I already made plans with Chaeng today” Jisoo gives an apologetic smile

Wendy waves her off “Hey don’t be. It’s okay. No sweat”

“Maybe next time okay?” Jisoo offers

‘Sure sure” Wendy beams, slightly prodding the other girl next to her. Subtly urging her to say something.

“Yep” Jennie mutters under her breath.

Awkward

‘Uh, I better get going now. Enjoy yourself at the new cafe” Jisoo takes her bag and walks away.

After ensuring that Jisoo had walk out the door, Wendy can’t help but smack the back of Jennie’s head

“Seriously jen?? Seriously?? I present an opportunity for you to ask her out. You just blew it up”

Jennie sulks while rubbing the back of her head
