Hae In knows something wasn’t right last night and the plan that he planned before, going to waste. The stoic expression from Jessica didn’t go unnoticed by him and also, Taeyeon looks like lost, a lost little lamb

“She refused to eat and take the whole week of day off” said Krystal when Hae In and Leo came to her house. Jessica won’t be back at Taeyeon’s apartment, Krystal understands the reason is the older Jung won’t be reminded of Taeyeon in the meantime. But she’s unlucky, Zero refused to taken by Mrs. Choi so Krystal took the silver puddle with her

“She also cried whenever she saw Zero walking around at this house” Krystal said again, “I can’t get rid of Zero since that puddle wanted to be with Jessica instead”

“Complicated” Leo leaned his head at the headrest, “Tomorrow is the press conference and we still stuck in the engagement status”

“We couldn’t say that it’s over, Krys” Hae In added when Krystal furrowed her eyebrows

“Why? I mean, okay I like Taeyeon as my sister in law but what else can we do? Jessica canceled the whole engagement between them and now, she doesn’t talk about that”

“That’s the problem” Leo grunted, “I need to talk with her, really”

“We can make it clear without her” suddenly Joonyoung entered the living room, he came with his brother, Mansik. Seems like they just had a meeting

“Leo, you could say that Jessica and Taeyeon still have their engagement” said Mansik while taking her seat beside Krystal, “Like your plan before”

“But our previous plan included the situation that Jessica Noona still keep Taeyeon Noona. Not pushing her away like that” Leo glanced at Hae In, “This would be more complicated than we planned”

“If their engagement should be canceled, that’s not because of this case” Joonyoung said, “It would make Jessica look so cruel even we all know the exact reason. But we need to calm down the situation”

“I wonder how she could deal with it” Hae In sighed, “We really need to make sure she’s okay”

“Krystal and I will talk to her” said Joonyoung, “Is she asleep?”

“I think” said Krystal, “Ahjussi said she just ate the meal that served at the lunch time”

“Maybe we can talk to her tomorrow, before the press conference” said Joonyoung, “Leo, I hope you can do it well like usual for tomorrow”

Krystal is awake because of the sudden scream. She realized that it’s Jessica’s voice. Wasting no time, she runs out from her room and Zero, who slept with her also running outside

“Your sister” Krystal met her dad halfway. He’s struggling to walk since he needs his crutch. Some maids also awake and they are waiting for Krystal to enter Jessica’s room

“Unnie!” Krystal jumped to the bed, she found Jessica is screaming and tossing out from her bed

“Unnie! I’m here” Krystal pulled the older girl to the embrace, earning the soft whimper from her

A long sigh escaped Jessica’s mouth while she muttered sorry

“What happened?” Joonyoung asked. He already sat at the edge of the bed while Zero jumps into his lap

“Bad dream, sorry” said Jessica, her voice is hoarse

“Unnie, it’s not a simple bad dream if you screamed like that” Krystal shoot with her glare, “Are you thinking about something bad?”

“Unnie” Krystal sighs

“It’s about Taeyeon, isn’t it?” Joonyoung asked, “Jess, we need to make it clear. I’m not cancelling the engagement”

“What do you want from me?” Jessica howled, “You want me to be happy but you lied right in my face, Dad. You and Taeyeon are the same, you are so selfish!”

“Taeyeon did it because she loves you so much. She won’t see you sad or thinks too hard because of her”

“Bull” Jessica shook her head, “I won’t even believe this bull”

“Jess, please wait for a while. We can make it clear, but for now, please bear with the situation” Joonyoung pleaded, “We need to face the media, the future of our pride is held by tomorrow”

“Tell me, what’s the damage that might be happen if I said I cancel the engagement?”

“That the Jungs Holding is a group of heartless people, who throws the precious person which gave all of her heart to us”

“She did” Joonyoung answered, sternly, “She did it. She gave all of her to us. She gave her world to you”

A short silence engulfs them. The low sobs from Jessica still heard and Krystal knows that her sister is thinking deeply

“But, Jess…” Joonyoung stood up with Zero in his arm, “If you are really can’t trust Taeyeon anymore, I have no choice but cancel it. As you know, Taeyeon wanted to do it since two months ago when the case appeared. But I told her to not, I thought I can give you the happiness through Taeyeon. I thought I did it right when I always see you are happy with her”

Jessica eyeing her Dad. In the dim light from her desk light, Joonyoung looks so sad

“Taeyeon said you are her priority, but now I think she got the point. You are her priority but she’s not even yours. Please wait until the situation goes finer and we will discuss about cut the engagement professionally”

With that, Joonyoung slowly walks away to the door. Krystal still holding her sister on her arms because she feels Jessica is weaker by her sobs

“Dad…” Jessica called again, “What makes you believe in Taeyeon?”
