“So, Jessica is never celebrating her birthday because it happened at the day of her mom’s gone?” Taeyeon scrubs her hair in confusion. After their short holiday, Jessica is being cold again to her. Both of them never meet each other for about one week since Jessica is busy, so does Taeyeon

“Yep” Hae In looking at the desperate woman in front of him. Krystal and him are having dinner with Taeyeon since she said something important is happened

“Also, three years ago Donghae broke up with her, on her birthday too” Krystal added, “My Dad was desperate to celebrate her birthday, but at same time, we will be mourning about my Mom too. Unnie is so close with my Mom back then”

“Can I ask when your mom gone?” Taeyeon asked

“When Jessica was about to graduate from high school” Hae In replied instead, “It just one month before the graduation party and her Mom left her”

“That was the worst time between us” Krystal sighed while remembering their past, “I mean, Dad was in his comatose yet Unnie is being cold and ignorance”

“My Mom was taking care of her” said Hae In, “We also got some problems with her attitude but my Dad assured us that’s the way Jessica dealt with her stress. So, maybe this time she’s on her way to dealing with herself, Tae”

“I should apologize to her” Taeyeon sips her drink

“You can give her a little surprise” Krystal smiled, “Truthfully, Unnie likes that”

“Like, giving her flowers at the workplace?”

“That would be good!” Hae In smiled, “Jessica loves that”

On the next day, as usual, Jessica left the breakfast on the table and Taeyeon will be enjoying her meal alone. But for today, she has a plan

Luckily, she has Seohyun’s number so she can track Jessica’s activities for today. As her work is loosen up, she texted Yeri that she has a meeting outside

“Okay, this is it” Taeyeon takes her coat and her key before proceeding to outside. She’s stopping by the nearest florist

“May I help you, Miss?” a florist comes to her while smiling

“What kind of flower that give the term apology?” Taeyeon asked while eyeing the beautiful florist

“White tulip is a common flower for saying apology, but if you want to make your partner happy, those pink flowers may give you the best feeling”

“What about, let’s make up, feeling?”

“Those blue hyacinths might be the best catch”

Taeyeon was thinking for a while. Since Jessica sometimes being so sensitive and Taeyeon couldn’t even read her well, she needs to decide carefully

“May I know about your boyfriend?” the florist asked

“Oh, my fiancée is a woman” Taeyeon smiled, “I’m engaged and I messed up when we had a holiday last time”

“Oh…” the florist jerked for a while

“Why?” Taeyeon furrowed her eyebrows, “Are you feeling uncomfortable because I’m gay?”

“No, no… Because I like women too” the florist hung her head. Taeyeon chuckled because that was funny

“I want the white tulips, a bouquet”

“A bouquet of white tulips. Wait for a minute”

Within minutes, Taeyeon already standing in front of Jessica’s room

“She’s inside” said Seohyun while Taeyeon walking closer to her

Taeyeon knocks and a soft come in is heard. Jessica still reading some documents, unaware about the guest.

“Sooyeon-ah…” Taeyeon called her softly. Jessica stops her motion and raise her head, she finds Taeyeon is standing in front of her desk while holding the white tulips

“What are you doing here?” even if Jessica wanted to smile, she can fake her coldness

“I…” Taeyeon scrubs her nape, “I want to say sorry” Taeyeon walks closer and extend her hands. Jessica on another side just chuckled seeing Taeyeon’s behavior

“I’m so sorry, Sooyeon. For making you mad, I promise to be a better person since now” said Taeyeon again

Jessica takes the flower and Taeyeon can’t help for smiling widely

“Apology accepted” said Jessica, “Now, go”

“Whaaat?” Taeyeon whined, “At least, let’s having lunch. I’m hungry”

“Is it my problem?” Jessica furrowed her eyebrows before smells the flowers

Taeyeon huffed and strides closer. She’s standing beside Jessica’s swivel chair and traps the younger girl with her arms

“Yah!” Jessica said, annoyed

“Let’s have a lunch” said Taeyeon again while smirking

“Why did you smirk?”

“Because you are so pretty”

“Sweet mouth”

“Just for you” Taeyeon pulled off her arms, “Come on, Princess”

“Yea” Jessica stands and following Taeyeon, they are walking outside. Jessica said she wants to talk with Seohyun first and Taeyeon just nods

While waiting for Jessica, Taeyeon is playing with her phone until someone greets her, it’s Seolhyun

“Tae Unnie”

“Oh, Seolhyun” Taeyeon smiled, Seolhyn turned up her hoobae at college and they often talk about that when they met. They are still talking so intimately, ignoring Jessica’s sharp eyes behind Taeyeon

“Ah, I think Miss Jung is done with her talk” said Seolhyun when she realized that Jessica is looking at them

“I’ll see you soon, Seolhyun” Taeyeon smiled when the younger girl leaves her

“Do you know her personally?” Jessica asked when Taeyeon opened her car door for her

“Yes, she was my junior” said Taeyeon, shielding Jessica’s head when entering the car. Taeyeon jogs to driver seat

“What’s wrong?” Taeyeon asked back while starting the engine

“I don’t like her”

“You actually never like a single person who talked closely to me, like Jieun, Hyomin and now Seolhyun” Taeyeon smiled sadly, “What’s wrong?”

“I just… Don’t like it”

“Sooyeon-ah, trust me. I never broke my promise that I made for your father before”

Jessica can feel the sincerity, also the sad feeling from Taeyeon. Whether the older girl is just honest or she just being an obedient person who had the marriage contract with her, Jessica actually wants to say out loud that she doesn’t like those girls

Just because, when Jessica feels someone is mine, she would be protective and selfish

“Taeyeon, am I selfish?” Jessica suddenly asked when they stop at the traffic light

Taeyeon tilted her head aside and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion

“I was thinking that I restrain you too much” Jessica said again, “Just tell me, Tae. If I am being selfish, then I will make a space for you”

“I won’t” Taeyeon tighten her grip on the steer, “I won’t that happen between us”

Jessica takes Taeyeon’s last words as a closure for their conversation. The between, both of them just feel that they are on the between of love and hate
