The Grims were feared for if they appeared in front of you, your life is destined to end soon. The Grims were the 1% of the human population to receive the gift of death. The Grims receive their gift after approaching the age of 15. Their pupils are black and glows when death is near. They wear a mask to signify their appearance. The Grims shows no remorse and is only assigned to do what they are born for; collect the bodies of those who have already passed. They have the ability to control life and death, but it is forbidden that they grant the opportunity of living to someone who is on the verge of death.
Jeon Jeongguk has been apart of the Grims since he turned 15. For the next 6 years, he collects the bodies of those who passes without any remorse. Families beg him to give their loved ones an opportunity to live, but Jeongguk was merciless. That is until he comes face-to-face with Kim Taehyung, Jeongguk's childhood friend of whom he has cut all ties with after receiving his gift. Kim Taehyung, the boy that he cared so deeply about was on the verge of death.

“Who are you and how do you know my name?” Jeongguk spoke calmly. The man’s footsteps faltered at the question. He slowly turned around and faced the young boy. Jeongguk’s eyes widened at the realization of the identity of the man. His eyes glowed through the mask that was concealing his face. Jeongguk was never nervous before, but at this very moment his heart began to race.
“Y-you’re a grim.” he mumbled, voice almost inaudible.

classification: grim/immortal Born the son of the Jeons, he is the second child and recognized himself as a Grim at the age of 15. He left his human life to pursue his life as a Grim. His family having their memories of him faded after his awakening. He grew to love his childhood friend, Kim Taehyung, after being assigned to watch over his progress by the Grim Reaper (his master).
classification: human/mortal The second son to the Kims. He is Jeongguk's childhood friend and had a special exception to the Grim's memory loss. He suffers from heart failure, only to have it healed after falling in love with Jeongguk.

This is my first ever taekook fanfiction. It's been a very long time since I've written anything so there may be some minor grammar errors. minor changes will be made if I spot any mistakes.
I am also very excited to write this story! I came up with this idea a few weeks ago before Bangtan's comeback and it's just jsldjskadjsak and now they're all wearing cloaks like the Grims in my story- it's a huge coincident.
So, the prologue is a bit short but the chapters that follow will be between 5K-8K word count. I will also try my best to update as quickly as I can. Also, one last thing... this whole story is based off of my imagination so anything doing with the grim reaper may not be accurate or whatever. This is a whole concept/alternate universe I made up.
