Hey there, how's everyone doing? Everything good? Feel free to shoot me a message – let's all become pals! Here's the latest chapter, enjoy the read!

---

Jennie tried to speak, but her stubborn mouth wouldn't cooperate. Meanwhile, Yoona shook her head, clearly not thrilled about seeing her mom at that moment.

I mean, seriously, does she not have hands? Why can't she knock first? She just barged in and disrupted us – Jennie and me! Oh, how I miss the sensation of her massaging me.

"I-..."

"Because I already love you! Come closer, young lady, and give me a hug!" Jennie was caught off guard by the sudden change in her welcoming tone.

Seeing the surprise on the younger girl's face, and realizing the cause, Yoona's mother took the initiative. She walked over gently and pulled her into a hug.

"Do you have any idea how much I've wanted to meet you, Jennie Ruby Jane Kim?"

"Really?"

Yoona's mother smiled genuinely, causing Jennie to finally relax and offer her sweetest smile in return.

"Absolutely! I've heard so much about you, my dear! Did you know I already love you? I truly do! I'm thrilled that my Yoong finally has someone special!"

With joy, Yoona's mother held Jennie's hand, visibly delighted to meet her in person.

"My bad. Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Khloe Simmons, and I'm the mother of this grumpy detective here." She pointed playfully at her eye-rolling daughter.

Jennie giggled, happy that Yoona's mother already had a soft spot for her. She felt elated – meeting Yoona's mother was on her list, but she hadn't expected it so soon. It's like they say: Expect the Unexpected.

"It's truly an honor to meet you, Mrs. Simmons."

"Oh, dear, just call me Auntie Khloe. Oh, and speaking of time, what time is it anyway?" She turned to her daughter, the only one wearing a watch among the three of them.

"It's time for you to leave in my room now," Yoona stated matter-of-factly, arms folded.

Her mother chuckled and walked toward her daughter, pulling her into a hug. "Don't be upset, okay? I love you so much, and I miss you!" She beamed, kissing Yoona on both cheeks.

"Stop that! It's embarrassing with someone watching," Yoona protested, trying to push her mother away. She felt shy whenever their interactions were witnessed.

Jennie giggled at the scene, feeling a desire to kiss Yoona too.

"Oh, honey, Jennie will keep witnessing it until you and she get married, so get used to it now," her mother teased.

Jennie blushed, and Yoona looked at her like it was a cheesy joke.

"Oh, Jennie! I almost forgot, it's time for my beauty sleep. Let's catch up tomorrow morning, okay? Don't bother going home tonight, stay over with Yoong." She walked over to Jennie, hugging her again and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Jennie nodded eagerly, her gummy smile on full display. Yoona's mother then turned to her daughter. "Save your questions for tomorrow. Goodnight, honeybunch, and goodnight, sweetheart." With a blown kiss, she left the room.

As soon as she was gone, Jennie jumped happily, showing her excitement. "Meeting your mom was so cool! I seriously thought I was going to freak out, and then she told me she already loves me. I'm beyond happy!" She beamed, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, your reaction pretty much gave that away," Yoona remarked.

Yoona locked the door to ensure their privacy. They weren't up to anything inappropriate, but it was more about having personal space for themselves.

Lying down on the bed and closing her eyes, Yoona sighed. "I'm so tired. Can we just go to sleep?" She felt the weight of Jennie beside her, hugging her waist, and resting her head on Yoona's neck, finding comfort there.

Yoona relaxed at the touch, drifting off to sleep. Jennie gazed at her features, gently tracing her eyebrow down to her eyes, nose, cheeks, jaw, and lips.

She marveled at this moment with her love. Even though she knew that Yoona might not feel the same way, she couldn't help but cherish it. She believed in the saying: everything is possible.

Unbeknownst to her, a tear had slipped from her eyes as she gazed at Yoona. "I truly love you, you scumbag detective," she whispered, though it went unheard as Yoona was lost in her dream world.

---

Early in the morning...

Yoona sensed a weight on her stomach and groaned, slowly opening her eyes to find Jennie sitting there, looking at her affectionately. "I can practically see hearts about to burst out of your eyes, Jennie."

"Good morning, my scumbag detective," she greeted, a sweet smile gracing her lips.

"Same to you, you tiny little brat. What time did you wake up?"

"I've been awake for 30 minutes already."

Yoona stared at her for a moment. "You've been staring at me for 30 minutes?" Jennie cutely nodded in response. "You're such a creep."

"It's not being creepy; that's what happens when you're in love. I can't even explain how I'm feeling right now. This is so unreal. I... this is the happiest moment of my entire life. Waking up with you in the morning feels like we're truly together."

Remember when Yoona mentioned that she often stumbled over her words when Jennie said things like that? That's exactly how she felt now. "Get up. I'm hungry."

Jennie was accustomed to it – even though it felt like someone had stabbed her heart with a knife, her love for the detective was so powerful that its depth was immeasurable.

"Is your back still hurting?" Jennie asked with concern as Yoona sat up, prompting Jennie to place her hands on Yoona's back and massage it.

Yoona closed her eyes, sighing contentedly. "As much as I'd love to enjoy your massage, I don't want my mom barging into my room again like last night."

"Let's go have breakfast. What time are you leaving?"

"Same as yesterday. Why? Do you want to kick me out already?" She raised an eyebrow teasingly.

"Don't make up stories. Get up, because I still have to go to work." Yoona stood up, and Jennie looked at her adoringly. "What?"

"Can I ask for a favor?"

Yoona looked at her in confusion. "A favor? Sure, as long as it's not something overly difficult." Yoona regarded her as Jennie lowered her head, curious about the younger girl's behavior. "What's on your mind?"

Jennie lifted her head quickly, replacing her nervous expression with determination. "Can I kiss you?"

"Okay, that was incredibly straightforward,"

"Is it really that difficult?"

"Come here." Without thinking, Yoona pulled Jennie closer and kissed her on the lips.

Jennie was taken aback by Yoona's response. She had expected her request to be turned down, so she was pleasantly surprised.

The kiss was brief, just a simple peck, but it left Jennie wanting more. She was about to deepen the kiss when they heard Yoona's mother shout, "YOONG! GET OUT OF YOUR ROOM WITH JENNIE AND COME HAVE BREAKFAST!"

Yoona gave Jennie a look that seemed to say, "See, I told you so."

"You owe me big time, Unnie," Seulgi greeted Yoona as she sat on the couch, texting on her phone.

Yoona sheepishly smiled, offering a peace sign. "We'll catch up after breakfast."

"Jennie, sweetheart! Good morning! Come sit and have breakfast with us."

"Good morning, Aunt Khloe!" Jennie beamed as she took her seat with enthusiasm.

Yoona was accustomed to her mother's lively behavior. Her mom's exuberance occasionally made her wish she could banish her from the planet, though she knew that was rude. Mothers could be quite bothersome at times, but deep down, the love was always there. You know what they say: "The more you hate, the more you love."

"So, how did you two meet?" Yoona's mom asked once they were all settled around the dining table.

Yoona shot her mother a warning look, silently signaling that she wasn't comfortable with the topic and where it was heading. However, her mother was completely focused on Jennie, clearly eager to hear the story.

Suddenly, Jennie felt a wave of shyness wash over her. She hesitated, considering whether she should really divulge the details of how they met at the bar.

Glancing at Yoona, who was gesturing for her to stay quiet, she replied, "Yoong, I'm not addressing you. Obviously, I'm talking to Jennie, so mind your own business, grumpy detective."

Seulgi burst into laughter, prompting Yoona to playfully elbow her. Suppressing her own amusement, Yoona shook her head. She realized there was no use in trying to stop her mother's curiosity; it would only waste her energy.

"Fine, but I just want to remind you that I'm not grumpy!" Yoona huffed, rolling her eyes. Jennie couldn't help but giggle at her reaction.

Khloe turned her attention to her daughter with a knowing smile. "Yes, you are, hun. Your face gives it away." Yoona was about to argue back when Khloe turned back to Jennie. "I'm all ears now,", she said with a smile. Awkwardly, Jennie began narrating everything, in detail.

Yoona facepalmed herself as her mother burst into laughter while listening to Jennie's detailed account. She glanced at her cousin, who was busily texting on her phone. She leaned over and peeked at Seulgi's phone, whispering, "She's got you completely whipped."

Seulgi quickly hid her phone in her pocket and shot her cousin a look.

"I'm suffocating here. Let's escape to the balcony."

Seulgi chuckled, understanding that her cousin hated the idea of her mother and Jennie discussing her so openly. It was like being exposed, and nobody wanted that.

They slipped away to the balcony without anyone noticing. "Do you have any idea how sore my back is from sleeping on that damn couch?!"

Yoona laughed and sighed, "Honestly, I never expected Mom to just show up out of nowhere like that. She didn't even give me a heads-up; she just barged into my room last night."

"Our room, Unnie. Ours," Seulgi corrected with a grin.

"Yeah, ours. But what can I do? Jennie's so stubborn, I can't just reject her when she's being that adorable."

Yoona froze as she realized what she had just admitted, her eyes locking onto Seulgi's, who was giving her a knowing look.

"Am I about to hear a confession?" Seulgi quipped.

Yoona closed her eyes, sighing. "No. Confessions aren't my thing. Please remember that."

"Why are you always in denial?"

"I'm not in denial. I'm just being straightforward."

Seulgi raised an eyebrow. "Straightforward? I don't think you're being honest with yourself."

"Seul, don't push me, okay?" Yoona's expression warned her to back off.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pushed like that. It won't happen again, I promise. Just spare me that intimidating glare," Seulgi apologized, though she ended up chuckling.

Yoona laughed along. "No need to apologize. To be honest, even I'm not sure how I feel."

Seulgi leaned back against the balcony railings, side-eyeing Yoona. "But do you find her attractive?"

"Yes. She's attractive. She's hot, beautiful, cute, has a nice figure, and, you know..."

The two burst into laughter. "ert."

"So you're not checking out your girlfriend, huh?" Seulgi began to retort but closed , causing Yoona to smirk.

"Then we're definitely cousins."

A comfortable silence settled in between them.

"Has it ever occurred to you that Jennie holds a special place in your life right now?" Seulgi finally asked.

Yoona squinted her eyes at that question, unsure of the answer. She wasn't sure why she had allowed Jennie to enter her life so effortlessly. Why wasn't she saying no to her? What was the significance of it all?

"I honestly don't know," she admitted softly.

---

Seulgi was waiting outside the building, patiently anticipating the appearance of the members, particularly her girlfriend Irene.

After about 20 minutes of waiting, the members began to emerge one by one.

"Wow, you're really pretty even without makeup," Seulgi complimented Irene, prompting a laugh from her girlfriend. Though she was blushing, Irene brushed it off, not wanting Seulgi to too much.

Irene was wearing round eyeglasses and a blue cap, and she had forgone eye makeup.

"Unnie's blushing," Joy teased, and all of them observed the interactions with amusement.

"Our leader looks like a tomato. Oh my God!" Yeri chimed in, joining in on the teasing. Irene grabbed Seulgi's hand and pulled her behind her, using a back hug to hide her embarrassment.

Seulgi laughed, finding the situation amusing as Irene grew shy. "Hey, cut it out. Seulgi just said that Irene Unnie is really pretty without makeup," Wendy added, joining the fun.

"Alright, alright, let's stop. She's getting embarrassed," Seulgi gently pulled Irene towards the car, placing her hand on her wrist to guide her inside.

Irene hugged Seulgi's arm as she leaned in and smelled her wrist. Seulgi patted Irene's head and then leaned in to kiss the top of her head, causing Irene's cheeks to flush.

Wendy, Joy, and Yeri all had free schedules, and Irene had suggested that she and Seulgi go on a date, just the two of them.

"Have a great time, lovebirds!" Yeri cheered.

"And be safe!"

"Enjoy!" Wendy smiled at them, and as they exchanged goodbyes, Seulgi and Irene waved before heading off.

"So, where would you like to go?" Seulgi asked once they were settled inside the car.

"I want to go shopping today,"

"Sure thing, princess," Seulgi replied, starting the engine, completely unaware that Irene was blushing like a tomato due to the endearing term.

At the mall...

Never had Seulgi imagined that she would find herself in a situation like this. Carrying various brand products in her hands turned out to be more tiring than being a bodyguard.

What she didn't know was that her one and only cousin had experienced this kind of situation with her boss before.

Thankfully, they had protection to keep their identities hidden. (Author's note: Erase any dirty thoughts from your mind; I can sense what you're thinking!)

"We should pick out some couple clothes!" Irene exclaimed, dragging Seulgi to another store.

"I really like this one," Seulgi said, spotting black hoodies with "BONNIE AND CLYDE" printed on them inside the store.

Irene examined them, nodding in agreement. "Then let's get these!"

They ended up purchasing matching necklaces, bracelets, anklets, socks, and shoes. Irene's excitement over couple-themed items surprised Seulgi, who found such things a bit cringey. However, seeing Irene so happy about their purchases melted her heart.

Hmm, falling in love isn't so bad after all.

After finishing their meal at the restaurant, Seulgi waited outside in the parking lot for Irene. She had said she forgot something inside and insisted that Seulgi stay put. Although Seulgi was curious, she respected Irene's wishes.

"Seul!" Seulgi turned around and was met with a tight hug from none other than her goddess-like girlfriend, Bae Joohyun.

"You know, I'm getting suspicious here. Or maybe I'm just assuming and being boastful. You seem really happy today; I can sense it. You're positively beaming!" Seulgi raised an eyebrow, folding her arms across her chest.

Irene smiled sweetly, her gaze full of affection directed at her clueless Seulgi Bear. "You're not wrong. I'm incredibly happy today because this is our first date. It might be simple, but simplicity is beautiful." Seulgi couldn't help but smile too; Irene's joy amplified her own happiness.

They locked eyes, adoring each other deeply. Suddenly, the words slipped out simultaneously, "I love you."

It was the first time they had confessed those three magical words to each other. Seulgi's grin stretched from ear to ear as she watched Irene, who was bashfully looking at her, cheeks flushed.
