The moment Momo walked into the house, she stared at the extra pairs of shoes at the doorstep. Something was off, but she didn’t know what.

Taking out the earbuds that practically blasted the music into her ears, she called her dad.

“Dad? Im home.”

Shoving her hands into her pockets, to hide the bruised knuckles she walked to the living room. Her eyes trailed up from the floor to the people sitting on the sofa in front of her.

She was familiar with her Dad, and sister Jeongyeon. But it was the guests that made her eyes falter.

Her heart stopped the second she made eye contact with a certain pair of eyes. 

There, she looked into the eyes of the person who she had secretly been in love with for the majority of her life.

Myoui Mina.

“Momo welcome home.” Her dad smiled, sitting up as she entered the room.

She heard the echo of her dad’s voice in the background but her heartbeat was louder. “What happened to your face? Why are you always all bruised up?”

Momo was always the rebel. Getting herself into trouble when she really shouldn’t.

She still looked at Mina who smiled at her, Mina didn’t remember her, but Momo always remembered Mina.

Her father cleared his throat after a small awkward silence, “Ahem, anyways since you’re here you’re just in time, I was just making arrangements with Mrs. Myoui.”

“Arrangements?” Momo cocked an eyebrow at her father.

“Yes. Arrangements. Her daughter Mina, and your sister Jeongyeon are going to be married.”

And just like that Momo’s world as she knew it, completely shattered into oblivion.
