The start and end to a bond.

Forever Young

(A/N- YAY!!! We're gonna get some Double B moments soon! Bobby, Hanbin, and Seungri will appear in Running man! 😌)

Chaeyoung's POV

As I stepped out of the cafe I saw the guy from last night. But what surprised me even more was Junhoe. He stood besides him and smiled at me.

"Morning." Junhoe greeted.

"Morning.." I replied. Junhoe kicked the guy onto his knees which startled me.

"Tell her." He added.

I gave him a confused look and then looked at the man. His face was covered in bruises and fresh blood.

"I-I'm sorry about last night... p-p-please forgive me?.. I promise it won't happen again. I was very drunk.."

"Drunk or not, that doesn't give you an excuse to try and kiss a girl." Junhoe kicked him onto the ground.

"Stop!" I yelled.

"This bastard deserves to rot in hell" Junhoe retorted.

"What he did was disgusting and wrong but please! Have some humanity, he looks like he'll die in any minute." I exclaimed. This whole sight of Junhoe scared me. I would've never guessed he had this in him.. I feel thankful that he got the man to apologize to me but I didn't want it this way.

"You're just gonna let him get away like this?" Junhoe asked.

"He already apologized, what more could I ask for?" I answered.

"This isn't something you should let slide easily!" Junhoe argued.

"Of course not, but this isn't something you should be doing. It's not like you." I explained. Despite his bad habits from toying with girls to this, I can see goodness in his angelic brown orbs. I refuse to let what I see judge who he is. I know there's more to him.

Without saying anything he shoved the guy into his car. He took one last glance at me before entering the car. I watched as he drove off. What's with him? Did I say something?..

End of POV

~~~
Jennie entered the room to see Mr. Kim reading some documents while Mrs. Kim was busy on the laptop. No matter where they were it seemed that her parents were always working. Regardless of her dad's condition he worried about the company. It's been a week since he's been in the hospital, recovering from the recent heart transplant.
"Hey honey." Mrs. Kim smiled.
"Oh you're here?" Mr. Kim smiled.
"Why aren't you resting?" Jennie retorted.
"The company needs me."
"Dad.." Jennie begged.
"Since I cant be there physically, we're losing sales and I'm not able to sign any partnerships." Mr. Kim explained.
"I'll do it." Jennie suggested. Her parents eyes widened. Were they hearing this correctly?
"I don't think that's a good idea." Mrs. Kim said. Obviously worried about her daughter.
"If our daughter is ready then she's ready." Mr. Kim smiled proudly.
"I have to take over the company either way so why not start now?" Jennie said confidently.
"I thought you didn't want this?" Mrs. Kim asked.
"Well, I change my mind." Jennie smiled.
"Let me ask you this, are you sure you're ready?" Mr. Kim asked. Jennie nodded her head.
"I'll tell Secretary Park to send you my schedule then. You have a meeting in an hour." Mr. Kim explained.
"A-an hour?" Jennie said nervously.
"Yes." Her dad smiled.
"Alright, well I have to leave then. It'll take me forever to get ready. Bye, I love you guys!" Jennie hurried towards her parents. Giving them a hug before she left.
"Do you think she'll be okay?" Mrs. Kim said in a worried tone.
"She'll do fine. She is our daughter after all." Mr. Kim said.
~~~

Hanbin took Jennie's advice on giving his mom a chance. He waited for her to arrive at his house. It was just his mom that he was meeting but he felt nervous. A couple of knocks at the door disturb his inner thoughts.

He opened the door and saw a faint smile plastered on his mom's face.

"Your place is clean.. as always." Ms. Kim said.

"Mom, I'm sorry..." Hanbin let out. She turned around with tears already filled in her eyes.

"No I'm sorry, for being such a terrible mother. All I wanted was for my two sons to get along.. I-I never imagined something so horrible could happen to you.." Hanbin's eyes began watering up with tears. He wrapped his arms around his mom. It's been so long since their last hug.

"You're not a horrible mom. You didn't know what happened to me, that's all."

"I'm sorry..." were the only words that escaped . She held onto her son tightly. Trying to picture how scared and alone Hanbin felt during the fire. How he cried out for help. Every horrible thing crossed her mind and she couldn't help but cry. She couldn't help but hold Hanbin in her arms like he was 5 again.

"Mino moved out.." Ms. Kim said.

"Oh.." was all Hanbin could say.

"Please don't hate your brother. As much as he wanted to save you, he didn't have the guts to. Now, don't hate him for being afraid. I'm sure he still regrets it til this day."

"What are you talking about?" Hanbin said in confusion.

"You didn't know? Mino said he went back to save you but was dragged away." Ms. Kim said.

"Dragged away?..." Hanbin muttered. This whole time he thought Mino was responsible for the fire. Maybe he wasn't?

"Did he not tell you?"

"I don't think so."

"Mino told me that he went back that night to save you but his friends dragged him away, fleeing from the scene because of how dangerous it was." His mom explained and placed her hand on his. It took some time before Hanbin could finally realize what happened. He felt guilty for the cruel words and names he labeled Mino as.

"How do you know he's not lying?" Hanbin asked.

"You two would always fight but that never meant that your brother doesn't love you."

"Why did he leave?"

"He said he couldn't face you anymore and that nothing went the way he planned. I know you and Mino had a rough past but do you really hate your brother this much?" Ms. Kim asked.

Hanbin thought about what Jennie's dad told him.

"You know, I regret hating him too. If I would've forgave him. I'm sure we wouldn't be like this. I don't know what goes on between you and your brother but just know, he's always going to be your bother. You can't run away from that." He didn't want to be like Mr. Kim and his brother. He's correct, you can't run away from something like that. Hanbin does hate Mino but the love he had was stronger.

"No, I don't really hate him as much as I say I do." Hanbin admitted.

"I know." His Mom smiled.

"I'm sorry our family turned out like this.." Hanbin said. His mom raised her hand up and wiped the tears of his face.

"It's not your fault."

Hanbin showed a small smile as the tears rolled down his face.

Jennie's POV

I'm well aware that I have tons of missed calls and text messages from Hanbin. I just haven't had the chance to answer them yet.

"So we're heading to Jeju tomorrow for the 3 day process of this project." Secretary Park explained.

"I know some people that would be perfect for the opening." I said.

"Oh really? Who?"

A smile crept on my face as I thought of Lisa, Ten and the rest of the members. Oh that's right... Taeyong. My smile was wiped away after remembering what happened last night.

"Some friends." I replied and scanned the the documents that sat on the desk. There was 5 files filled with papers. I looked at the computer screen. It was exactly 7 o clock. Yeah... there's no way I'll finish all of this before 9.

"I'll fit them into the act then." Secretary Park smiled and walked out of the room. As soon as he left I unlocked my phone and called Hanbin.

"Finally! I thought I was gonna die! What are you doing? And where are you?!" Hanbin said. I let out a chuckle.

"Sorry babe, I'm currently in my dad's office going through 10 thousand pages of paper.." I let out my deepest sigh.

"You're taking over your dad's position? I thought you didn't want to?" He asked.

"I don't but I can't stand to see his hard work fall down."

"So my girlfriends a CEO? That's pretty y. It totally suits you." He said making me blush.

"Yah.." I said shyly.

"I miss you." He chuckled on the other line.

"I miss you too."

"You should probably get back to work."

"I really don't want to." I complained.

"Like you said, you don't want to see your dad's hard work go to waste." He teased.

"Ugh! I know!.."

"Do your best. I'll call you later on tonight?"

"Oh.. we're not going to see each other?" We haven't seen each other all day and I miss him so much..!

"Sorry.. I can't. I'm a little busy."

"It's fine.." I said reassuringly.

"Alright, I'll call you. Bye I love you."

"I love you too." I said and hung up the phone. I glared at the stack of papers. Hoping it would disappear, the more I eye balled it. I wish lasers would just beam out of my eyes and destroy this damn pile. It's only my first day and I already hate it.. imagine working at the company for the rest of my life.. I ruffled my hair in frustration and picked up the pen, signing off some documents. It's going to be a long night....

~~~~
I sorted out all the papers and organized them into the correct file. I let out a small yawn and stretched out my arms.
"Yay!" I cheered and got up from the desk. I hurried out the office and towards the elevator.
I quickly clicked the 1st floor and tapped my foot while waiting. I'm so happy I can finally sleep. It was 1am and I don't think I've ever been this tired in my life. I wonder how dad does this every single day. The thought of it becoming my future already stressed me out. The doors opened and I took a step out. The bodyguards stood by the door, talking to Secretary Park.
"Miss, you're finally done? How was your first day?" Secretary Park asked.
"It was tiring." I answered and was lead out of the building by him.
"I'll drive you back." He bowed and opened the car door.
"No need." A familiar voice said. I looked up to see Hanbin smirking at me. What a damn-
"Ms. Kim,  may I you tonight?" Hanbin said formally and held out his hand. I smiled and placed my hand in his.
"I'll be leaving with him, you can go Home Secretary Park." I said while entering Hanbin's car. He closed the door and walked towards the driver's seat.
"I thought you were busy?" I asked.
"I wanted to surprise you." He smiled cheekily.
"You're too much." I smiled shyly.
"Anyways, how was your first day?"
"Can't you tell by how tired I look?" I asked.
"Right... your eye bags are, something else.." he teased. I playfully punched him in the arm and rolled my eyes. "But you still look so damn beautiful." He cupped my face and gently brushed my cheek with his thumb. It was his favorite thing to do. Brush my dumpling looking cheeks and look at me, lovingly. My eyes were set on his lips. I couldn't help but crash mine onto his. I missed the warmth of them and how comforting his soft lips felt. I slowly pulled away from his lips and flashed my gummy smile.
"You don't know how much I needed this." I said.
"You missed me that much?" He chuckled.
"Of course! Why? Did you not miss me?"
"I do." He smiled.
"Say it then." I retorted.
"Say what?"
"You know what I'm talking about." I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"I have no clue.." he replied. He really knows how to push my buttons.. calm down Jennie. Calm down. This is just another one of his dumb tricks.
"Ok." I said without any emotions and adjusted myself in the seat. He reached over to my side and planted kisses everywhere on my face. Making my nose scrunch up. A giggle slipped from my mouth as the kisses felt ticklish.
"I missed you, like crazy." He said before planting one last kiss on my lips. I was blushing like crazy right now. Gosh when did we get so loving? The amount of kisses we share in a day is crazy.
"Now let's go eat. I know you're starving. He smirked.
"What restaurant would be open at this time?"
"We could just eat ramen at the convenience store." He suggested. I nodded my Head agreement. He the car and stole one last glance at me before driving. I was at awe, his side profile looked so good. His well craved jaw line amazed me. God he looks extremely hot right now.
"Happy with what you see?" He smirked. I reached over and kissed his cheek.
"Extremely." I said.
"Oh I spoke with my mom today."
"Really? How did it go?!" I asked. I'm surprised Hanbin actually listens to me.
"It went well. I also found out that Mino tried saving me back then but I can't confirm it yet. I plan on meeting up with him.." Hanbin explained. He's the definition of a strong person. I wonder how he stood tall after everything he's been through..
"I'm proud of you, I'm so happy everything is going smoothly for you and when you do meet him. Promise me nothing will happen alright?" I couldn't stand to see him get hurt again.
"I promise, I don't plan on fighting with him. I want to talk it out and be mature about it." He replied.
"You surprise me everyday." I
"Because you lead me to the correct direction. So thank you for that." He smiled
I returned the smile and felt him grab my hand, intertwining our fingers.
~~~

We entered the connivence store and roamed around the ramen section. Hanbin was picking out some drinks while I was deciding on which ramen we should eat. Spicy? Pass. Hanbin can't handle it. I chuckled to myself. Remembering how dumb he was for trying to finish the spicy bowl of ramen challenge.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Yeah." I answered.

~~~
We sat down by the windows enjoying our ramen. It was 3 in the morning and I couldn't have asked to spend it in a better way. I enjoyed the hot bowl of ramen on a cold morning like this. Even better, Hanbin was by my side. Simple things like this tend to make me feel happy.
"I was about to get the spicy bowl but remembered that you can't handle it." I teased.
"Hey, I only did that because I wanted to impress you." He defended.
"Yet you turned out looking foolish." I chuckled.
"I'm willing to do all kinds of foolish things if It means, I get to see your gummy smile." He stared at me and smiled.
"Don't look at me like that." I said shyly.
"Like what?"
"Like that.." I broke the intense eye contact and shoved some noodles into my mouth.
"Because..."
"Because what?" I asked.
"Because I'm in love with you."
Oh my god.. I don't know what's more hot? My cheeks or the noodles.
"You're such a flirt." I chuckled.
"Well... if you have such a beautiful girlfriend then it's kind of hard not to flirt."
"Gosh, Finish your ramen."
"People would probably think we're crazy for eating ramen at 3 in the morning." He said.
"Priorities." I shrugged my shoulders and reached into the grocery bag pulling out a can of Pringles. "I got this for you. I noticed how many cans you have in your pantry."
"Yeah... I love Pringles." He said feeling embarrassed.
"It's all yours." I showed my gummy smile.
"Thanks, Love."
~~~

After enjoying our bowl of ramen we arrived at Hanbin's place.

"Can I sleep here tonight?" I asked.

"Of course." He answered and wrapped his arms around me. Leaving a peck on my forehead.

"Can we do this more often?"

"Yes we can, anytime you want." He smiled. If i had one wish, it would be to stay in Hanbin's arms forever. I felt protected and warm in his embrace.

"Are you busy?" I asked

"Um, no why?" He answered.

"Do you want to go to Jeju tomorrow? For 3 days?"

"For what?"

"Well the company is throwing a ceremony to celebrate our new product and to announce our new partnership." I explained.

"3 days in Jeju.. with you? Sounds like a plan." His lips curved into a wide smile.

"Great." I replied

"Now let's get some sleep. I'm exhausted." He pulled away from the hug and got in the bed. Slowly, I made my way towards the bed and pulled the blanket up.

"Goodnight." I said. Holy ! I can barely breathe right now. Why am I nervous?! I felt all tense up. He turned towards me and kissed my lips.

"Goodnight." He said before shutting his eyes.

~~~
My eyes were wide open and it was 5am in the morning. I could not sleep the whole time and just stared blankly at the ceiling. Well, kind of.. I glanced at Hanbin a few times. I turned my head towards him and saw his eyebrows pulled down into a straight line. His breathing was getting heavier and heavier. Is he having another nightmare?...
"Hanbin.." I said and caressed his face. His eyes opened, startling me. Without a word he pulled me closer towards him and wrapped his arms around me.
"Was it a nightmare?.." I asked
"Yeah.." his voice was raspy. I no longer felt nervous and snuggled even closer to him. I buried my face in his chest and closed my eyes.
"I'm gonna be right beside you Hanbin. I'll watch over you tonight so close your eyes." I lifted my head up to give him a reassuring kiss.
"As thankful as I feel I rather you sleep. Plus, Now that I'm holding you my worries disappeared."
"Are you sure?..."
"I'm sure." He gave me a small smile.
"I feel like he's lying to me these days.." Jisoo said.
"Why?" Chaeyoung asked.
"He's always busy doing something but never tells me what it is." Jisoo explained.
"He's cheating" Lisa said. Earning a glare from Chaeyoung.
"No way! There is no way Bobby would cheat on you." Chaeyoung defended.
"Then why won't he tell me the truth?" Jisoo argued.
"Maybe it's personal?" Chaeyoung guessed.
"Personal. my. ." Lisa retorted.
"Exactly!" Jisoo agreed.
"Well he could be planning something special. I highly doubt Bobby would cheat on you." Chaeyoung said.
"True he looks at you like its his first time." Lisa added.
"Which side are you on? The pro or con?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Both" Lisa answered.
"Maybe I'm just overreacting?" Jisoo questioned.
"Yeah! Trust in Bobby." Chaeyoung said
"Don't look at me, do whatever you want." Lisa said.
"Ugh!! I don't know!" Jisoo complained.
"How do you think he would feel to know that you don't trust him?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Hurt.." Jisoo answered.
"Exactly, so don't think negatively about this." Chaeyoung said.
"Or if you're really bothered by this you can always talk to him. Communication is key!" Lisa explained.
"I'm with Lisa on that." Chaeyoung added.
"I guess I'll leave him a text about meeting up." Jisoo said.
"Go do that." Lisa smiled.
"We takin' over this area
These penny pinchers hide
while I lean back in my chair
This old turf is mine and the vibe here is his
It's now time for you haters to go home"
(Part of Bobby's Rap from Ikon's anthem)
Bobby bopped his head while writing in his notebook. Ever since his dad's been out of his life he finally can rap again. He's been practicing lately since he's a little rusty. He even attended some underground rap clubs. To study the way people rap and how intense it gets. Fights would break out. Overall, it was kind of dangerous. But Bobby loved the environment and vibe it gave off. He actually had a battle coming up soon and has been practicing day and night. His phone vibrated, receiving a text from Jisoo.
"I'm at the front door."
He quickly shoved the notebook into the drawer and sprinted towards the door.
"Hey gorgeous." Bobby smiled while welcoming her in. He puckered his lips, expecting a kiss but Jisoo walked passed him and into the living room.
"I don't get a kiss?" Bobby pouted. Jisoo turned around and let out a sigh.
"Are you cheating on me?..." Jisoo asked.
"What the hell Jisoo? I would never cheat on you?! Why would you even think that?" Bobby answered. He walked towards his worried girlfriend and pulled her into his embrace.
"I feel like you don't have enough time for me these days.. you keep on saying that you're busy.. busy with what?" Jisoo said.
"I'm busy with all the school work and business stuff." Bobby lied. He kissed her forehead and tightened the hug.
"Oh.... I'm sorry for overreacting." Jisoo muttered.
"It's fine baby, I'll stop what I'm doing and spend the whole day with you."
"Really?!" Jisoo said excitedly.
"Really." Bobby smiled. Jisoo tip toed and kissed him on the lips. Before she could pull away Bobby cupped her face and took control of the kiss. He tilted his head to the side, deepening the kiss. His hands slid down to her small waist. Sending shivers down Jisoo's back.
"I love you." He whispered before planting one last kiss on her lips.
"I love you too."
"So what do you want to do?" Bobby asked.
"I kind of want to lay with you, in bed." Jisoo answered. Bobby's face began turning red from her honesty.
"We should do something productive." He suggested.
"Ughhhh..! If I wanted to do something productive I would've went to school." Jisoo whined. Bobby chuckled at her cuteness and ran his fingers through her hair.
"Let's go on a date."
"A date?"
"Uh huh. We haven't really been on a real date now that I think about it." Bobby explained.
"Well then, it's a date." Jisoo smiled.
~~~

The two couple sat across from each other. Enjoying the sound of the grand piano and the delicious food that sat in front of them.

"How are your parents?" Bobby asked.

"Dad's overseas and I haven't spoke to my mom yet." Jisoo said while fiddling with her food.

"When do you plan on it?"

"I don't know.."

"You can't keep her waiting forever."

"Yeah... by the way my dad wants to have dinner with you." Jisoo explained.

"W-why?" Bobby said nervously.

"It's just dinner." Jisoo chuckled.

"Did you tell him that you and I-"

"Yes, I told him that you're my boyfriend."

"Oh okay..."

"Why are you so uptight it's just my dad." Jisoo said.

"I don't know, I'm afraid I'll say the wrong things."

"You act like it's the first time meeting him. Just be yourself."

Being Jisoo's boyfriend completely changed everything for Bobby. During their high school years, he would always joke around and in front of Jisoo's dad. But now he wanted to represent a mature side of him. The side that proved he was a man.

Hanbin's POV

I knocked on the door and saw the shocked expression on Mino's face.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I.. I want to talk to you." I answered. He welcomed me inside his new apartment and shut the door. I saw a pile of paperwork scattered on the table with 2 bowls of empty ramen by it. He must've been working all night.

"What do you want to talk about?" He said while cleaning the table.

"Why did you move out of mom's place?"

"I don't want Hanbyul to be around someone like me."

"Mom said that you tired saving me.. is that true?" I looked him in the eye. He didn't say anything but let out a sigh.

"Of course I did." He admitted. "I ended up running away like a damn coward. I watched you suffer in that shed, I heard your cries for help but ran away.. I.. ill never be able to get over that. I sometimes can still hear your cries in my sleep." He adverted his gaze else where. Not having the confidence to face me. The hate I built up for him was crashing down. It wasn't his fault yet he blames himself for that night.

"You were only a kid. What were you suppose to do at the time?" I said.

"Hanbin I'm really sorry.." he faced me.

"I'm sorry for bullying you in the past but I'm even more sorry that I left you there.. I've been an brother. As an older brother it was my job to protect you but I didn't. Sorry.."

"I forgive you.. Hyung." It was the very first time that I've ever called him that. It felt weird to say it. I saw tears form in his eyes after hearing that. It seemed as if he were waiting for this time to come.

"Why?" He muttered.

"Because I want to get over this already. I want a brotherly bond, like everyone else. I no longer want to put up an act for Hanbyul. I want to stop hurting mom." I explained. He hugged me and chuckled.

"Thank you." His voice cracked. I smiled and patted his back. It felt good to finally overcome this.

~~~
"So what are you doing these days?" Mino asked while walking over to the table with his plate of food.
"Dating and making music." I answered and took a bite out of the spaghetti.
"Dating? Ah, Jennie?" He smiled.
"Yeah" I let out a small chuckle and wipe the corners of my mouth with the napkin.
"How is that going?"
"Honestly, it's great. I haven't been this happy in a while." I admitted.
"When is she gonna meet mom?" He joked.
"I'm not sure.. I haven't asked her about that."
"Ahh. Have you met her parents?"
"Yeah they're really sweet. She looks a lot like her mom." Before Mino could reply the alarm on my phone went off. Oh crap! That's right, I'm heading to Jeju today.
"Something wrong?" Mino asked
"No but hey, let's continue our talk next time. I've got to head to Jeju." I answered.
"Jeju? Why are you going there?"
"Jennie invited me to the company's ceremony." I said and got up from the table. I placed my plate into the sink and hurried towards the door.
"Fly safely" Mino said. I nodded my head and walked out.
End of POV
~~~

Mino opened his door, revealing an annoyed Nayeon. She barged into his apartment and plopped on the couch.

"Uh.. welcome?" Mino said in confusion.

"What's the next plan?" Nayeon asked.

After making up with Hanbin and finding out that he's Jennie. Mino refused to follow through with the plan.

"Nothing." Mino answered.

"Stop joking." Nayeon let out a nervous chuckle.

"I'm not."

"You said you would help me?" Nayeon said.

"Not anymore, I'm done with this."

Nayeon got up from the couch and crossed her arms.

"Are you serious?" She said annoyed.

"It's wrong to get in between a couple." Mino said.

"What do you mean?" Nayeon questioned.

"You didn't know? Hanbin is dating Jennie." Mino explained.

"T-that's not true.." Nayeon couldn't bring herself to it. She was in denial and refused to believe it.

"Ask Hanbin yourself." Mino replied.

"Where is he?!"

"Jeju."

Nayeon walked out of the apartment and entered her car. She ruffled her hair in frustration and took out her phone.

"Book me a flight to Jeju" she demanded through the phone.
