New friends!

Forever Young

(A/N- So I need some help! Can you guys give me some ideas on what the brand of Jennie’s clothing line should be?)

Chaeyong’s POV

“Here you go.” The cashier handed me my hot cup of coffee. I needed this, to clam me down a bit. I haven’t been in Korea since I was a kid so I’m quite nervous. Jisoo was suppose to fetch me but I don’t know what’s taking her so long.. I took a sip of the coffee and pulled out my phone. Refreshing our conversation, hoping that she’d answer. My eyes were so glued onto my phone that I crashed into something. Something hard? But a little mushy? I looked up to see a glaring stranger and quickly stepped back. His white shirt completely drenched from the coffee in my hand. I saw his friends in the back giggling at him.

“I’m so sorry!” I bowed at a 90 degree angle. I raised my head up, looking at him.

His eyes were narrowed, rigid, cold and hard. He seemed displeased and annoyed with my clumsy act. I could practically see the steam being boiled out. His cold stare sent shivers down my spine. Oh god why am I so stupid? I was mentally slapping myself in the face. My phone began ringing snapping myself out from my inner thoughts.

“I’m across the street. Hurry up!” I skimmed the road and saw Jisoo waving at me by her car.

“Alright!” I hung up and bowed at the guy again before leaving.

“YAH! Where do you think you’re going?!” I heard him shout but all I could do was bow.

“What are you doing?” Jisoo said as we entered her car.

“I kind of spelt coffee on someone...” I said feeling apologetic towards the victim.

“And you just left?” Jisoo chuckled. How could she be laughing at a moment like this?

“I apologized of course!” I defended. Poor guy, it looks like someone pooped all over his white shirt..

“Anyways, is my favorite cousin excited for her first day tomorrow?” Jisoo asked.

“Excited? Ehh. Nervous, stressed, scared, yes!” I answered. It’s true. I’ve been feeling uneasy about this ever since I got on the plane but music is my passion. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity! There was no way I would let it go!

“Chill Rosé~ you got me and my best friend Jennie. We’ll make you feel welcomed! I promise.” Jisoo said, emphasizing my name. Yes, In Australia I go by Rosé or Rosanne but since I’m in Korea I decided to use my Korean name. Chaeyoung. It feels weird and of course it’s gonna take some getting use to since the only people who call me by that is my parents and grandma. But I must admit Jisoo made me feel less nervous. I knew I was in good hands since Jisoo has always been a outgoing person.

“Great! I can’t wait! But uh where are we headed?” I asked. As we passed by the stores and streets. I tried my best to remember them but couldn’t. It’s been so long and everything completely changed.

“To my visit my friends. I already told them about you yesterday. Everyone’s excited to meet you!” Jisoo explained.

“Really? I can’t wait!” I smiled widely.

End of POV

~~~~~
Bobby walked up the stairs, trying to find the correct room number.
“57.. 57.” He muttered and stopped in front of the door. He knocked on it a few times and waited for someone to answer. The door swung open, revealing the coach with an apron on. The smell of burning food was unwelcoming but Bobby still entered, closing the door behind him. The place was small. It was a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom. The living room wasn’t even half as big as Bobby’s. He wasn’t use to such a small place. The decoration of his house was old fashioned yet neat and tidy.
“Did you have breakfast yet?” The coach asked while stirring the food.
“Uh yes.” Bobby answered.
“Sit down, make yourself at home.” The coach explained. Bobby nodded his head and went straight to the living room. He saw a picture frame of the coach’s son. Next to it were baby pictures of his son. Up until he was at least in middle school. Bobby envied him, the coach seemed like such a great dad. A cracked smile form on his face as he stared at the rest of the pictures. He didn’t see any pictures of the coach’s wife which was odd.
“The rumors must be true...” Bobby said under his breath. A couple of months ago there was a rumor that the coach’s wife left him for a richer man. Ever since then, he hasn’t really been the same. He’d come to work looking restless. His lunch would be a mess and looked like left over food.
“Come eat.” The coach demanded.
“I-it’s Fine Coach.” Bobby replied.
“You’re gonna let your coach eat alone?” He let out a small but forced smile. Feeling guilty, Bobby got up from the couch and walked over to the table.
“Eat a lot, Alright?” The coach said while placing a bunch of meat into Bobby’s bowl. The table was filled with beef, kimchi, vegetables, and some kimchi pancakes. Bobby could only nod his head and nibble on the beef. He knew his coach wasn’t making enough money so he wanted to eat very little.
“How are you gonna get full eating like that?” The coach shoved a piece of beef into Bobby’s mouth and continued eating. Bobby watched him and slowly chewed onto his food.
“Coach... can I ask why you’re helping me?” Bobby asked.
“You’re my student. I could never let you go through that alone.” The coach answered.
“Ohh...” Bobby replied.
“How long has this been going on?” A hint of anger in the coach’s tone as he asked.
“Ever since my mom died.” Bobby answered. He never spoke about this topic to anyone besides Hanbin so it was uneasy.
“When was that?” The coach furrowed his brows.
“My first year of high school.” Bobby said weakly.
“Ah... I’m sorry for bringing this up. Eat up alright? We’ll talk after.” The coach smiled and placed more food into Bobby’s bowl. Bobby was a tuff kid. Despite all the things he’s been through but speaking about his mom. It suddenly brought him to tears today. The coach reached over the table and patted his shoulders.
~~~~~

Jennie wiped the sweat from her head and quickly aired out the house. She’s been up since 7 in the morning making some hangover soup for Hanbin and some pancakes on the side. Jisoo told her about Rosé coming so she made extra pancakes and also decorated them neatly. With sugar, fruits and etc.

“My Head is killing me..” Hanbin complained while ruffling his hair in frustration.

“Good morning, my knight in shining armor.” Jennie teased.

“Knight in shining armor?” Hanbin said in confusion.

“Oh you don’t remember?” Jennie let out a dramatic gasp.

“Did something happen?..” Hanbin asked.

“Yeah you were allowing Seulgi to flirt with you. How dare you blush right in front of me?!” Jennie glared.

“W-what do you mean?” Hanbin asked cluelessly. “All I remember was you trying to kill me with that wrap.” He added.

“Unbelievable... you don’t remember her eyeing you up and down? You didn’t say a thing but let her flirt with you!” Jennie complained. She walked over to the table and aggressively placed the bowl of soup in front of Hanbin. Before she could walk away Hanbin grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him. Jennie fell onto his lap which made her heart jump. Gosh when did he get so bold? Jennie thought. She saw him crack a smirk and knew it was because of her beet red cheeks. He moved closer to her leaving their faces a few inches apart. Expecting a kiss, Jennie closed her eyes and puckered out her lips.

“You’re jealous?” Hanbin whispered. Jennie opened her eyes to see a laughing Hanbin. What was i thinking?! ! I thought he was going to kiss me!.. Jennie was mentally slapping herself in the face from how embarrassed she felt.

“Absolutely not!” Jennie argued. She was stubborn when it came to things like, admitting she was wrong. But Hanbin found that cute. He likes it when she was this way because it meant that he was correct. “You didn’t hear her tone when she handed you the be-“

Hanbin pecked her lips, Shutting her up.

“You’re so stubborn.” Hanbin smirked.

“Shut up.” Jennie said while tugging at his shirt, pulling him closer to her. Clashing her lips onto his. It took Hanbin a couple of seconds to realize what was going on. Her sudden actions sent shivers down his spine. He didn’t know Jennie had this side to her. But he didn’t waste anymore time and replied back to her kiss, taking full control of it. Their lips were moving in perfect sync, dancing around each other. He continued to press his lips more impenetrably and rougher onto her lips. They pulled apart to catch their breaths. Their foreheads resting against each other. Their eyes, opening at the same time, staring deeply into each other. Both filled with love and wonder. They didn’t say anything but smile at each other.

“I smell food!!” Jisoo barged into the door. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the couple. Feeling embarrassed Jennie jumped out of Hanbin’s lap and pretended as if nothing happened. While Hanbin on the other hand shoved a spoonful of hot soup into his mouth. Burning his tongue, killing his tastebuds. He let out a cough and Jennie handed him a cup of water. Jisoo covered her eyes and closed the door.

“What’s wrong?” Chaeyoung asked.

“Uhh Nothing.” Jisoo smiled. Jennie opened the door and forced a smile. She felt embarrassed after getting caught by Jisoo but she couldn’t let them suffer outside.

“Don’t you ever knock?!” Jennie said through her gritted teeth. Jisoo flashed her a smirk before entering the house. Jennie welcomed to two girls in and closed the door behind her.

Hanbin quickly got up from the table to greet Jisoo and Chaeyoung.

“You must be Rosé. I’m Hanbin.” He greeted warmly.

“Ah, Chaeyoung is Fine.” Chaeyoung said while shaking his hands.

“Chaeyoung?” Jennie questioned.

“Yeah it’s my Korean name so please feel free to call me that instead.” Chaeyoung smiled.

“Well it’s nice to finally meet you Chaeyoung! I’m Jennie, Jisoo has told me so much about you.” Jennie smiled.

“Did she?” Chaeyoung said shyly.

“Yeah she brags about how talented you are.” Hanbin added. Chaeyoung’s cheeks were heating up.

“Cause I’m a proud mother” Jisoo said.

“Well I made some pancakes so feel free to eat!” Jennie explained. Chaeyoung nodded her head and followed them into the kitchen.

“it smells so good!” Chaeyoung said. Her stomach began growling making the two girls laugh.

“You must be hungry.” Jisoo teased.

“I-I couldn’t eat on the plane because of how nervous I was..” Chaeyoung said shyly.

“Well eat until you can’t eat anymore.” Jennie smiled. She grabbed a few pancakes and headed to the dining room where Hanbin was sitting alone.

“You should have blew on it first.” Jennie chuckled. She saw Hanbin poking his numb lips.

“Maybe you should kiss my lips, it might ease the burning sensation.” Hanbin smirked. Jennie began blushing at his words.

“I’m surprised you two weren’t kissing.” Jisoo teased.

“We would’ve if it weren’t for you.” Jennie defended. “So what brings you to Korea?” She added.

“To pursue my dream as an artist.” Chaeyoung answered with a touch of sincerity in her voice.

“You know Hanbin makes music.” Jisoo added.

“Really?!” Chaeyoung asked.

“Yeah and so does Jisoo’s boyfriend.” Jennie smirked.

“You have a boyfriend?!” Chaeyoung’s eyes widened.

“Yup! But he’s meeting with his couch right now.” Jisoo said proudly.

“Woah! I didn’t know you were dating.” Chaeyoung said while shoving a slice of pancake into . “But what do you do?” Chaeyoung referred to Hanbin.

“I compose and all that good stuff.” Hanbin replied.

“Yeah he even made a song for Jennie.” Jisoo explained.

“Awww, that’s cute! I envy you.” Chaeyoung said. Making Jennie and Hanbin blush.

Bobby entered the house and walked towards the dining table where everyone was seated.

“Oh you’re here?” Jisoo got up and kissed him on the cheek.

“Ew gross.” Jennie said.

“Hey, at least we aren’t making out like you two.” Jisoo argued.

“Whatever.” Jennie replied.

“You caught them?” Bobby chuckled.

“Right handed.” Jisoo smirked. “Ah this is My cousin!” She added. The two couple walked over to the table and took a seat besides each other.

“I’m Bobby, Jisoo’s boyfriend.” Bobby greeted.

“I’m Chaeyoung and so I’ve heard.” Chaeyoung smiled.

“You were talking about me?” Bobby teased.

“Please don’t act all lovey dovey while I’m eating.” Hanbin cried out.

“Says the one who got caught kissing.” Bobby chuckled. Chaeyoung could feel their positive energy and how close everyone was. She enjoyed their presence and felt she was going to get along with them very well. They were such easy going people.

Seunghoon smirked as he saw Mino walk into the cafe with a girl. They approached him and sat across the table.

“Who’s this?” Seunghoon smiled. He received a disgusted look from Nayeon.

“Hanbin’s ex.” Mino replied.

“Soon to be girlfriend.” Nayeon corrected.

“Interesting.” Seunghoon smirked.

“What the hell do you want?” Mino asked feeling fed up.

“I heard you were having a celebration party but I wasn’t invited? Ouch...” Seunghoon explained.

“Stay away from Hanbin, you got that?!” Mino warned. Nayeon had no clue on what was going on but the tension between them was no joke.

“Aww are you trying to be a good brother now?” Seunghoon smiled devilishly. Good brother? Nayeon mouthed.

“Don’t try to play victim. You know what you did.” Mino said. He got up from the table and dragged Nayeon along. Seunghoon could only watch as they left. The feeling of defeat hurt his pride. It pissed him off. He hated it.

~~~~
“What was that about?” Nayeon asked while walking around the store. Eyeing each dress.
“Nothing.” Mino answered shortly.
“Well why’d you bring me out?” Nayeon argued.
“You know I met Jennie, she was at Hanbin’s House.” Mino said, changing the subject. Hearing that made Nayeon’s blood rush. She was losing patience with this plan and just wanted to be upfront with Hanbin.
“Why the hell was she over there?!” Nayeon said trying to maintain her anger. It broke Mino to see her like this. It made him want to help her out even more. Even if it killed him inside. Nothing mattered to him but her happiness, that’s all he ever wanted..
“I guess he was drunk.” Mino forced a chuckle.
“Friends do that, idiot don’t scare me like that.” Nayeon said. She tried sweeping her negative thoughts under the rug. Believing , hoping that there was nothing more to it.
“Friends do what?” Mino asked.
“Take care of each other when one of them is intoxicated.” Nayeon smart mouthed him.
“Right..” Mino replied.
“Anyways hows the Plan?” Nayeon asked.
“I haven’t heard an answer from her yet. But I guarantee Hanbin would come if his friends do.” Mino smiled.
“White or Black?” Nayeon held up two dresses.
“Black, it’ll make you look fierce.” Mino winked. Nayeon smiled and handed the dress to one of the workers.
“What are you going to wear?” Nayeon asked.
“I don’t know yet.” Mino answered.
“Shall I help you?” Nayeon smirked.
“Surprise me.” Mino replied.
Lisa’s POV
Wow Korea is more colder than Thailand, that’s a fact check. This university sure is big. Beautiful campus, not to mention.
 I saw a tall pink haired girl picking up some papers that fell on the ground and rushed towards her.
“Oh thank you!” The clumsy girl said. I got up and handed her the papers.
“You’re welcome.” I smiled. I saw one of her papers say Sociology on it. “Oh! Are you headed to Mrs. Park’s Sociology class?” I asked.
“Yes.” She replied shyly. I stuck my hand out for her to shake.
“Me too! Ah! I’m Lisa by the way.” I greeted warmly. The pink haired girl smiled and shook my hand, firmly.
“I’m Chaeyoung.” She replied.
“So.. do you any clue where her class may be?” I asked.
“Ah.. I’m actually a new student.” She answered.
“No way?! Me too!” I said in disbelief.
“Really? Where did you come from?!” She asked excitedly. Well at least I made a friend.
“Thailand. And you?” I said proudly.
“Australia.” She replied.
“It’s nerve wrecking, ain’t it?” I asked. Her expression changed into a sad one.
“Yeah... call me a baby but I already miss home.” She forced a smile.
“Same but hey, it seems we’re on the same boat. Friends?” I smiled.
“Friends.” She nodded her head in agreement.
“We should probably get going before we’re late” I suggested.
“Definitely.” She agreed. The both of us trailed off, searching for the Sociology class.
End of POV
~~~~

Bobby unlocked his phone and saw that he received two messages from his dad.

“Get ready.”

“Tomorrow is the day, we can do this the easy way or the hard way.”

Bobby read and began typing.

“Alright.” Was all he replied with.

“This is my new friend, Lisa!” Chaeyoung introduced to the group of friends.

“A new friend already?” Jisoo was surprised that her shy cousin made a new friend on the first day.

“Yeah turns out Lisa came from Thailand!” Chaeyoung explained.

“Thailand?!” Bobby said in disbelief. Lisa nodded her head.

“Well I’m Jisoo, this is Bobby, that’s Hanbin and Jennie.” Jisoo smiled.

“Nice to meet you guys.” Lisa smiled.

“Is it okay she has lunch with us?” Chaeyoung asked.

“Why not?” Jennie smiled.

“Thanks for inviting me.” Lisa replied.

~~~~
“That’ll be $5” the cashier said. Chaeyoung pulled out a $5 bill and handed it to her while grabbing the candy bar.
“It’s you!” A man said. Chaeyoung turned around and squinted her eyes. She realized it was the guy she spelt coffee on and her eyes widened.
“Ah... I’m sorry about that.” Chaeyoung said, sounding apologetic. The thought of her spilling coffee on him only pissed him off. He remembered his friends laughing and teasing him all day when it happened.
He snatched the candy bar from her hands and opened it up, taking a bite out of it.
“You owe me a new shirt.” He smirked.
“Okay and now you owe me a candy bar.” Chaeyoung argued.
“Let me take that back. You’re actually pretty.” The guy smiled. Chaeyoung wasn’t the type of person to be rude but this guy was seriously annoying her. She rolled her eyes at him and walked away. He grabbed onto her arm and pulled her to face him.
“I’m Junhoe. And you are?” He smiled. Chaeyoung pulled away from his grip and looked at him in disbelief.
“I am, done with this conversation.” Chaeyoung said in annoyance and walked away.
Junhoe was shocked. He’s never been turned down by a girl ever! But it only made him want her more. He watched as she walked off. A smile crept on his face.
“I’ll get your name.” He said confidently.
~~~~~~

The 6 of them sat at a table near the window. Waiting for their orders. Lisa looking clueless on what she had order. The picture looked tasty but she’s hoping it’s fulfilling.

“So why’d you come to Korea?” Jisoo asked.

“To fulfill my dream as a dancer.” Lisa replied proudly.

“Woah, you and Chaeyoung have something in common.” Jisoo smiled.

“We do?” Lisa questioned.

“Yeah I actually came to achieve my dream as an artist.” Chaeyoung answered.

“Looks like we were made to be friends after all.” Lisa smiled.

“Here is the food you ordered.” The waiter said while placing each of their orders on the table.

“By the way, is everyone free this weekend?” Jennie asked.

“I think so.” Bobby lied.

“Definitely.” Jisoo replied.

“What do you have planned?” Hanbin asked.

“We’re invited this celebration party.” Jennie answered.

“Ou! I received an invitation through the mail.” Jisoo said.

“Oh.. so you’re going?” Hanbin asked.

“I mean we don’t have to.” Jennie said.

“Lets go! It’s not like we have anything better to do.” Jisoo added. Jennie saw the expression on Hanbin’s face. She knew he was hesitant and didn’t want to force him. In fact she didn’t want to attend for his sake.

“A party? I’m not good with those..” Chaeyoung said nervously.

“Count me in!” Lisa added.

“Come on! Is Lisa the only fun one here?” Jisoo said.

“I’m with Chaeyoung on this one.” Jennie replied.

“Let’s go.” Hanbin said. Earning a worried look from Jennie.

“Hanbin we don’t have to.” Jennie said.

“Like Jisoo said, we don’t have anything better to do.” Hanbin forced a smile.

“Alright yes!” Jisoo and Lisa said in unison.

“You guys can go without me.” Chaeyoung said.

“Oh come on, it’ll be fun Chae.” Jisoo said.

“Let’s not force her.” Jennie defended.

“Alright then. Are you sure you don’t want to join us?” Jisoo asked, making sure.

“I’m sure.” Chaeyoung smiled.

“Well, Lisa do you wanna go shopping?” Jisoo asked.

“Oh my god yes! I wanted to shop when I first arrived but was afraid to!” Lisa said in excitement.

“Jisoo shopping? Yeah right she’s so indecisive.” Jennie teased.

“Hey! I’m slowly breaking out of my shell.” Jisoo said making the girls laugh. Bobby and Hanbin just stared at each other. Not knowing what to say. The girls were so immersed into their girl talk, leaving the boys with no choice but to sit there and listen.
