"Are you excited for prom?" 

"I guess, I don't have a date though."

"I'll take you."

"Really? Great!"

What Anna thought was a joke turned out to the beginning of a beautiful, lasting relationship. Mark and Anna met their freshman year of high school. Although they went to different schools, they both ran track. They weren't the closest of friends, but always got along really well and cheered each other on. One simple conversation changed their friendship into something more.
