With the success of Mnet's PRODUCE 101 series, one of the largest entertainment companies in Asia has jumped on the wave. SM Entertainment, in collaboration with Mnet, comes [ pri'SM ], an all new survival show catered to producing the next generation of SM Entertainment's idols. The all new survival show will feature 96 SM Entertainment trainees from South Korea, all in all to produce a new permanent girl group, a big change to the initial project group that the 'Produce' series have been aiming since the start. With this very big change, netizens are wary about the collaboration project, as this would cause a big uproar and total control of the Korean entertainment scene. With this in mind, industry insiders from Mnet and SM Entertainment have not yet revealed the format of the show, the final number of group members, and the voting system. SME and Mnet are currently consolidating and critiquing trainees that will appear on the show. A tentative air date of July 2018 has been given by both of the production.
