Kim Dahyun and her group of friends have just finished their junior year of high school and are rising seniors. Out of the four of them, it seems Dahyun is the only one somewhat dreading what senior year will bring - her biggest fear.
Dahyun is afraid of growing old, of losing the place where she is now - where all of her friends are a few minutes away and she’s able to purse her passions without worrying about commiting them into careers. But no one can escape the clutches of time, and Dahyun will have to come face to face with her fears.
At least she’ll have Sana by her side to guide her along the way, helping her come to terms with it all.
Inspired by Lorde’s song, Ribs, is story goes through the feelings of turmoil one might experience while in the midst of gradually accepting the realities of growing up and becoming an adult.

Author’s Note
Hello, everyone! I’m back with a short Saida ongoing fic. This story has been in my drafts, half completed, for a long time, originally as a Seulrene fic! I changed the ship because I felt like Saida suited this concept a little better, especially since Dahyun is a recent graduate herself (our little Dubu’s grown up so much ahhh)! There’s also a little Chaetzu on the side here.
Ribs is a song that holds a special place in my heart, and listening to it on repeat multiple times throughout my own years of high school got me thinking about what the song really meant. I feel like we can all relate to the lyrics of this song in our own way.
For me, I had a lot of the mindset of Dahyun here in this story - I liked where I was in that point in my life. I was sure of myself. I’m in college now, and I’m not as sure as what the future holds, but I do know that I’m ready for it now. Listening to this song and writing this story out was just one step of helping me let go of my adolesence and accepting that there’s just somethings in life you have to give up in order to go further.
Sorry about the blabbering, this song really does mean a lot to me ahhaa. I really encourage all of you to take a listen to it!
