“Okay let’s get this over and done with.” Kyungsoo said when he and Suho arrived at his parent’s house. Suho disappeared into the kitchen to greet the staff.

“Shush your mouth.” Sarang admonished her son, “You look perfect as usual.” There was really nothing she could fault her son on, except his taste in women. Kyungsoo was a model son. A good and loyal friend, and an excellent President. So much so, that his father and her husband could wander the world with his best friend.

Kyungsoo swept his hair back. “Who else did you force into this thing?” He walked into the kitchen and sneaked up behind Kiki, their head housekeeper and basically raised them with Julian, their former House Master. “How’s my favourite ajumma?” he hugged her.

“Oh! Gave me a heart attack!” Kiki smacked his hands until Kyungsoo released her, “My baby is having his first marriage date.” She said tearfully, “too young,” she clucked her tongue at Sarang.

“This is not a marriage date.” Kyungsoo was red in the face.

“When’s this marriage date starting?” Minah walked into the kitchen with Yeji perched on Xiumin’s waist.

“Look who it is!” Suho held his arms out and Xiumin gratefully handed him the girl. “How’s my favourite heir?”

“Hey!” Kyungsoo warned his HM, “No favourites.”

“You’re my favourite of course, Boss.” Suho rolled his eyes at Xiumin.

“I saw that!” Kyungsoo pinched Minah's nose, “You’re my favourite heir,”

“Oppa will make a good husband.”  

“Let’s have a drink.” Minah pulled Kyungsoo out the kitchen,

“No getting drunk before the guests arrive!” Sarang warned as she played with her granddaughter. “You are proof that I’m old.” She tapped Yeji's nose.

Park Haneul arrived on time with her mother and father. An only child she was being groomed to take over her father’s lighting business. Lights that Kyungsoo was sure would make it’s way into every Finite, Emerald and Lee project if the marriage negotiations were successful.

“When my daughter mentioned the name Jung, I said to my wife, we always talk in bed before sleeping, I said but yeobo, Haneulah can’t mean the Finite Jung?” Everyone around the table chuckled, “But here we are in your beautiful home.”

Sarang looked pointedly at her son, urging him to say something. He was seated opposite Haneul, so he could admire her youthful beauty. Fresh was the word Sarang would use to describe the young woman.

“Your lighting designs are something to admire. I especially liked the feature you created for the Seoul Arts Centre.” Kyungsoo complimented.

“That actually means something coming from you Kyungsoo ssi.” Haneul smiled across at him.

“It was our Haneul who designed that set.” Haneul’s mother revealed.

Minah and Taeyoon also sitting opposite one another exchanged a look. There was no doubt that Haneul was talented, hardworking and easy to talk to. 

“It took me months.” Haneul was speaking politely but her eyes were dancing with joy as she recalled the project.

Kyungsoo listened attentively before he
