Family Issues and Blood Ties

Description

Park Haeun didn't trust easily, in fact she only trusted a few. Her twin, Jimin, and her older brothers Jinyoung and Chanyeol. Her father had lost her trust years ago and Haeun simply didn't have friends. Perhaps she trusted her gangmates some, but definitely not with her life. In her world of bloodlust and lies, the only people she had trusted was her family, her brothers. Some said that there were things stronger than blood, but she had never believed them. Haeun had always thought that her brothers were all she had against the world, the only people who always had her back.

She never expected the gang issues to penetrate to her family. She never expected it to break the blood ties she thought were unbreakable. To throw more family issues on top, her father is demanding her to be married within two months. It's not like Haeun gets a choice, he's essentially selling her to the highest bidder. Perhaps it was time her gang life and her family life needed to intersect. Just not in the way she had always thought it would.

This is not a pretty fic. Some parts will definitely be rated M and will be marked as such. Might contain triggering content like violence, abuse, blood or other triggers. Will have a lot of swearing without censoring. Please no plagiarism or hate. If you don't like the content, you are free to not read. Yang Minsuk is a horrible father, is abusive, etc. Romance will play a factor in this fic, but it will always come secondary to the family and gang issues. Do not plan on getting attached to snsd, nct, stray kids or other band members that are mentioned in the tags. If they aren't listed as characters, than I will be killing them left and right. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Foreword

A clap of thunder sliced through the soft murmurs of the ‘most esteemed guests’ at the party, jolting all the fine ladies and bringing out the protective sides of the gentlemen. Haeun paused, cocking her head in confusion. It was the middle of winter, nobody had ever heard of a thunderstorm in the middle of winter. She shook of the feeling of unease, continuing to creep along the north side balconies. Whatever it was, was probably just a freak storm.

Haeun couldn’t afford to be distracted, she was determined to find Jimin before he caught her, or worse, if Jinyoung caught them playing at another formal dance. A shadow bounced across the hall, and she grinned.

She tackled the figure to the ground, sitting atop with a smirk of glee. “I win Jimin!”

Except her baby faced twin wasn’t the one Haeun had attacked. Her mouth dropped in shock as she came face to face with Kim Jongdae.

“I am so sorry,” Haeun choked out, shaking her head in disbelief. Jongdae grinned, showing his teeth before swinging at her head. She gritted her teeth, flipping backwards and sliding a knife from the sheath on her thigh and a pistol from the other side. She couldn’t afford to fight Jongdae, Haeun had been trained in combat since she was young, she wasn't a match for Jongdae. No, not many people were a match for Kim Jongdae.

But what the hell was Kim Jongdae doing here? Haeun couldn’t kill him, if she did the rest of SM would be out for blood. Haeun silently cursed Jimin in her head. This was all his fault. She rolled backwards, popping up in a favorable position. As Jongdae moved forwards again, Haeun was faced with the decision to shoot or not.

“I know you’re not going to shoot me,” Jongdae smirked, “You wouldn’t risk it.”

Haeun's teeth dug into her bottom lip as she hissed, “Don’t test me.”

Luckily, her dumb of a twin popped in to save the day.

“Jongdae what the ?” Jimin slid in the room, decked out in all black like Haeun was. “Why the hell are you fighting with my sister?”

“Your sister?” Jongdae paused, looking between them uncertainly. “That’s your twin?”

“Yeah?” Jimin snorted. “We’re basically identical.”

Haeun glanced at Kim before inching closer and closer to her twin. It was clear that Kim Jongdae and Jimin knew each other, which could keep Haeun alive a little longer.

“Jimin how do you know Kim Jongdae?” She whispered heatedly, giving him a sharp glare. Jimin winced, sliding his hands over hers, which was still gripping the pistol and knife protectively.

“I know them too.” He said sheepishly, pointing towards the few shadows at the door. Her glare intensified as six figures piled into the light. She observed them quietly, taking in the faces and commiting them to memory.

“Where’s the others?” She asked them, allowing Jimin to slide the pistol and knife out of her hand. If the rest of Exo was here, Haeun knew she didn't stand a chance. Jackson had been right, she shouldn’t have come home tonight.

Byun Baekhyun scoffed, a lilting laugh echoing into the room, “Sehun’s back at home, why would we bring him here?”

Haeun shook her head, trying to keep her guard up, the numbers still didn’t add up. There were nine Exo members, Jongdae was in front of her, but there were only six behind him. There should still be two missing. If Sehun was at home, then there was still one missing. She wasn’t sure why Exo was in her house, butshe knew it couldn’t be good.

“Jimin how the do you know Exo,” Haeun said, her voice soft and deadly. Jimin winced, looking at her with apologies in his puppy dog eyes.

“I may or may not be part of SM?” Jimin’s eyes crinkled into hesitant crescents as he gave her another sheepish smile.

“What?” Haeun snapped, spinning him around to face her properly. “Are you high or something?”

Before he could properly answer, somebody else entered the room behind the Exo members. Everyone turned to stare at the newcomer. Haeun's raven haired brother stalked into the room, twirling a pistol, eyes hooded and mouth taut into a straight line.

“Does somebody want to tell me why my two baby siblings are in the room with seven Exo members?” He snapped, stopping the spinning gun so it pointed right at the Exo members.

“Ah Jinyoung, good of you to join us,” Junmyeon grinned, walking forwards to sling an arm over Jongdae’s shoulders.

“Jinyoung! Can you ing wait up-” Chanyeol panted, bursting into the room behind Jinyoung, slamming straight into his back.

“ing great, the entire family’s here,” Haeun muttered sarcastically, rolling her eyes. She tossed her ponytail behind her and huffed. Jimin better have a good explanation.

“Alright guys, what are you doing here,” Chanyeol sighed, leaning against Jinyoung as he glared at the Exo members. “You know you’re not supposed to come to the house.”

“What the , how does Chanyeol know Exo?” Haeun demanded, tensing up again. If Jimin knew the Exo members through SM, then no doubt Chanyeol did as well. But that still didn't explain why they were part of SM.

“Good everyone’s here, maybe we can start explaining now,” Jimin prompted.

“Of course, Jimin,” Junmyeon nodded. “We all know Exo are core members of SM, and Got7 is core members of JYP, we’ve always been at war, but perhaps there needs to be a change. Yes, we know that Jinyoung and Haeun are part of Got7.  YG and Yang Minsuk are becoming too much, SM has suffered too many losses recently. We lost one of our good weapon lines to the Seoul police and one of our money laundry accounts were shut down. You know that only JYP and SM together stands a chance against YG as of now. They've infiltrated the police force in Seoul, and with the police, YG is fully equipped to squash one of us after the other, especially if we are fighting each other at the same time.”

“How did you know we were part of JYP,” Jinyoung said softly, choosing not to focus on any of the other information they had provided us.

“Me.” Chanyeol winced, leaning back from him and running a hand through his hair. “I looked through your files.”

There was absolute silence as we all waited for Jinyoung to speak. He sighed, turning to face Chanyeol and temporarily ignoring the other Exo members.

"Hyung, I'll have to think about it. I...I would need to talk to the others." Jinyoung seemed hesitant, "It wouldn't be fair for me to say yes without something being drawn up or even mentioning this to the other members."

"You knew?" Haeun asked Jimin, nibbling on her bottom lip again. Her voice was full of hostility. Her twin hesitated before nodding, "Me and Yeollie convinced them, I can't afford to lose you or Jinyoung hyung. And you know it's true, Father's out to ruin our real families. I can't let that happen. He's not supposed to be using his political influence the way he is right now either."

"Did you know about us before you and Yeol joined SM," she whispered, her voice thick. Jimin swallowed, and Haeun watched his Adam's apple bob nervously.

"I did, but Yeol didn't. Yeol joined when he was twenty. Six years ago."

Haeun felt as if her whole world shattering. Everything she had known seemed like a lie. She backed away from Jimin, hands balled into fists. She couldn't believe that Jimin and Chanyeol were part of SM, in a gang with the people who murdered her baby brother. The people who murdered Jeongin.
