JooHyun woke up when her alarm start ringing at 05.30 am, she search for her phone with closed eyes, when her hand touch the device, she unlock her phone, there is no message from Wendy. She stretch her body and get up from her beloved bed. JooHyun brushing her teeth while watching Spongebob Squarepants, then wash her face, put some light make up, wear her black shirt and a pair of jeans, tie her hair into bun, and put a round glasses. She look at her reflection and show a dorky smile, the older girl laugh at her own reflection. She grab her bag and turn off the TV, go downstairs and make a toast. Her parents are busy and only come home once a month, but JooHyun doesn’t care as long her needs are fullfiled. The clock show 06.21 when JooHyun finish eating and cleaning the untensils. She grab her car key and ready to go, but her phone buzzed.

It’s become a routine for JooHyun and Wendy to texting each other, had lunch together, and teasing each other. They are getting closer day by day..

One afternoon, JooHyun sit at the park inside the Uni. Book in her hands, she had her earphone listening Close to You by Susan Wong. Her white shirt and black legging make the summer heat become bearable, she wear her black nike cap even though the large tree shielding her petite figure from the sun. She continue read her book withour realizing someone sitting beside her, not until that person take one of her earphone and put it on her ear. JooHyun smile at the person, her brown hair flow down on her back, she wear her white crop tee and black training pants. JooHyun heart fluttering to see the younger smile at her,

 “What did you read unnie?” Wendy asked, JooHyun smile and closed her book then show the cover at the younger girl, stare at Wendy warm brown orbs,

“Sure, it’s about an unconditional love at family, beautiful story and you might like it..” JooHyun said hand the book at Wendy, the girl smile and took the book,

Both of them fall silent and enjoying the sound of cicadas singing, along with the summer wind blowing made all the trees dancing around softly, soft and catchy Close to You by Susan Wong make both of the girls close their eyes, touched by the tune.

Wendy glance at the older girl beside her and laugh softly, JooHyun glance back at Wendy with confused face,

“Why? Did I have something on my face?” JooHyun asked, Wendy shook her head,

“You are smiling..” Wendy said,

“So I can’t smile now?” JooHyun with angry tone, Wendy chuckled at how cute the older girl,

“No No No, it’s not like that.. I just realized that you barely smile if we were at crowded place, or with your classmate, but here we are, just the two of us, you smiling like an insane woman” Wendy said, JooHyun hit her hard in the arm, both of the laughing,

“It’s been 3 months since I came to Korea, and 2 months since I become a collage student, why is it so fast?” Wendy asked, JooHyun smile at the girl,

“Yeah, and the exam will come soon..” JooHyun said make Wendy groan,

“You really know how to ruining the moment.. Did you like exam that much? You will left me alone and bury your self with books in the library!” Wendy said, JooHyun laugh at the girl and hit her arm, the younger girl smile widely,

“You should be preparing too!” JooHyun said,

“Nah, I’m lazy..” Wendy stuck out her tongue made JooHyun shake her head,

“Do you have any plan for summer break?” Wendy asked JooHyun with enthusiasm,

“I don’t think so, why?” JooHyun answered, her parents probably working and she won’t do anything beside watching TV, play games, or do the laundry,

“Let’s go somewhere!” Wendy said,

“You aren’t going back to Canada?” JooHyun asked,

“Noo, I want to stay here, maybe this christmas..” Wendy answered, JooHyun smile at the girl,

“How about Busan?” JooHyun asked,

“Great! I will plan the itinenary, should we rent apartment or hotel?” Wendy clap her hands,

“Don’t be, we can stay at my family apartment near Heundae, it’s empty unless I go there with my family.. We can drive there too, it’s 4 hours by car..” JooHyun said but Wendy shake her head,

“No, I won’t let you drive, how about plane? Or KTX?” Wendy asked,

“Anything is fine, I will follow your budget..” JooHyun said,

“Hey, don’t worry about my budget, my parents give me plenty! Hahaha, beside that, I work part time as professor assistant for first year!” Wendy laugh,

“But still-” JooHyun being cut by Wendy put her finger at JooHyun lips,

“I said, it’s fine unnie..” Wendy smile reassuring the older girl, JooHyun sigh,

 “Okay..” JooHyun said, Wendy hug her made the older girl startled,

“I’m sooo happy!” Wendy said, JooHyun chuckled and pat the girl back,

“Make sure you pass all the subject!” JooHyun hit Wendy’s back,

“Ough! Okay okay..” The younger girl said,

“Should we invite Seulgi?” Wendy asked,

“Who’s Seulgi?” JooHyun asked,

“My best friend! She’s at Arts Major, you should meet her! She’s really funny!” Wendy said,

“Sure.. you can invite her” JooHyun said, her expression is unreadable,

“Are you sure unnie? It’s only only us then..” Wendy said, realizing JooHyun sudden expression change,

“It’s fine wan-ah, you can invite Seulgi” JooHyun said, smiling at the girl,

“No.. this trip is only us..” Wendy said firmly, JooHyun scoffed at how stubborn the girl,

“Whatever..” JooHyun shrugged, Wendy smile at the latter,

They plan about the trip and prepare for it. They also study at the library together, even it’s only JooHyun who studied. Wendy only playing games, listen to music, or just stare at JooHyun. Sometimes JooHyun disappeared at library and Wendy can’t find her, it’s still a mystery JooHyun didn’t tell her.

As the exam coming, both of them did pretty well, and there was one day JooHyun invited Wendy to come at her open presentation about a chemical company that Wendy doesn’t know. JooHyun wear white button up shirt, along with black pantsuit, and black gucci loafers. JooHyun looks like a fine businesswoman that presentated her company. Everyone in the auditorium can’t avert their gaze from the older girl who confidently explain everything, she’s stunning and it’s not a fresh news at campus, everyone already know about the goddess of business major, the mysterious Bae Joo-Hyun.

Wendy just know that when her classmate asked her for JooHyun number, it made Wendy annoyed. She told him to asked JooHyun himself, not one or two people been asked her that, but almost every boys she know asked her. Part of her is jealous and protective over the older girl, but she know that they are just friend and she can’t act like this over her beloved friend. So, she told them to asked her themself, after that Wendy didn’t hear anything from them, part of her is curious, but also jealous for a reason she didn’t understand.

Wendy herself just a plain girl, with dark brown hair, alwasy wear comfortable clothes, barely use make up, and really talk active. She being close with the Bae JooHyun, made everyone shocked. Untill now, the person that close enough to the Bae are Solar and Taeyeon.

Wendy doesn’t care about the rumours that going around, the only things she care is her JooHyun-unnie.

“Waaahh! The exam finally over!!” Wendy scream make everyone startled, JooHyun laugh at the younger girl,

“I’m going to check the result” JooHyun said, she entering the Univ website to check her score via her phone,

“Check mine too please~” Wendy said, she peek JooHyun phone from behind, JooHyun got almost perfect score, except for finance, the older girl sighing. She continue to check Wendy’s score, and shocked at the perfect score she get.

“What the..” JooHyun said, Wendy laugh and shrugged at JooHyun who look at her, still not believing her eyes,

“Told you unnie, I can handle it” Wendy wink at the older girl,

“Okay genius, are you ready for the trip?” JooHyun asked, Wendy grinning like a child and jump happily,

“Oh! Seungwan!” someone called Wendy, both of the girl look at the voice source,

“Yah! Kang!” Wendy said, hugging the other girl, JooHyun smiled at the monoeyelid girl,

“Why you always leave me alone at dorm! Where have you been this entire time huh? You are so heartless!” the Kang hit Wendy at the stomach making the girl laugh,

“It’s a secret Kang! Oh, by the way.. This is Bae JooHyun-unnie, and unnie this is Kang Seulgi, my dorm mate slash my best friend” Wendy said, Seulgi and JooHyun bowing each other,

“So this is the infamous Bae-sunbae, pleased to meet you sunbae-nim!” Seulgi said cheerfuly,

“Pleased to meet you to Seulgi-ssi, Wendy here always talking about you, meeting you myself is a pleasure” JooHyun said, smiling at Seulgi,

“Seungwan always talking about you too, she blabbering about how beautiful you are, also how you look so stunning everyday without try hard, an-” Wendy closed Seulgi mouth with her hands to stop the teddy bear spill anymore secret and embarassed her in front of JooHyun.

“Ah, Wendy must be talking a lot about me..” JooHyun said, glance at Wendy suspiciously, Wendy just smile at the older girl, pretend to not know anything,

“Stop the blabbering Seulbear, I will buy you pringles later..” Wendy whisper at Seulgi and the girl nod, then Wendy release her friend,

“I have to go now, I’m going back home, please take care of our dorm ok?” Seulgi pat Wendy shoulder,
