As Yeri started crying, Jessica couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt in her heart. Taeyeon responded by holding onto her tightly. This new Maknae was very adorable and Taeyeon babied her quite a bit, which reminded Jessica of how much she babies Krystal. She did her best to help calm Yeri down, rubbing the back of her head and brushing her hair. 'Sorry Seohyun, but you just got replaced.' She thought. Naturally, she was going to protect Yeri...but still wanted the satisfaction of watching Jessica at rock bottom. She just needed to play her cards right, especially when it came to SM, for Yeri's sake. "Sweetie, its because you're staying in the same place as a blacklisted person. SM hates that, a lot. But its gonna be okay. As long as I'm here, I'm going to protect you with everything that I have." As she held Yeri in her arms, Taeyeon started thinking about how she would hold Tiffany in her arms whenever netizens attacked, especially with the whole controversy behind that one post she made with the Japanese Rising Sun Flag. "All you have to do is carry on like normal and just pretend Jessica isn't here once you leave that door, don't let the pressure break you. Your Unnie is depending on you to at least do that, you have to be strong Yeri."

She held onto Yeri even tighter and continued to comfort the maknae who was unfortunately still crying. Her words however, left Jessica feeling uneasy as she continued to feel that Taeyeon had an ulterior motive for letting her stay. Either way, she still felt horrible for putting Yeri in such a precarious position. Hell, she was already close to screwing Taeyeon over just by showing up at her house. However, knowing that she could screw over Yeri, who had no part in her ousting from Girl's Generation OR SM Entertainment made her feel like crap. If something really were to happen to the young girl, Jessica most likely would not be able to live with herself. In the end, she was thankful that Yeri was going to keep this to herself. If she really were to crack, it would be over for all three of them. Finally, their eyes locked once more. "The bathroom is upstairs, last door on your left. You should take a warm bath while I call up the other girls and prepare warm food. I'm sure there are other pairs of clothes in that suitcase and from your company." Taeyeon sounded slightly spiteful when she brought up Jessica's company. "I still generally use the same products so telling apart the shampoo and body wash won't be hard for you, if you remember. There are spare towels in there and...I just don't want you to get sick, even if you don't sing much anymore."

Finally Yeri and Taeyeon let go of one another, with the younger woman wiping her eyes. Even though it did take a bit, she was reassured that Taeyeon had her back in the event that they were going to be in deep trouble should this secret be found out. Surely this is what Jonghyun would have wanted, for her and Taeyeon to be close friends as they were both close to him and for them to have each other's backs as he did. As for Jessica, the warm bath was generous, but the thought of having to face the other members of Girl's Generation terrified her, primarily because she wasn't ready for that. "No, don't tell them. I'm not ready for that. I can't let them see me like this...Its already embarrassing enough that I'm here... I can't face them. Not after what happened in Shenzhen." She held her tears back. "I barely had the courage to come here. I can't face them right now Taeyeon. Not after what I saw what happened in Shenzhen. Seeing Yoona and Seohyun break down like that...Sunny walking off stage, seeing Yuri and Tiffany have their energy being sapped from them, then there's you, Hyoyeon and Sooyoung, the only ones trying to stay strong...Can we please just tell them later? I'm not ready..." She pleaded, despite knowing that Taeyeon will most likely call them all over anyway. 

Sighing, she started lugging her suitcase and other belongings up the stairs. At least Taeyeon cared enough for her to not get sick. "I really appreciate what you're doing here for me...Even if I don't deserve it."

As she got into the bathroom, Jessica started running some warm water as she started undressing. While washing off, she relaxed and reflected on what's happened leading up to her bankruptcy, starting when everything came crashing down. To keep the company afloat, she even had to lower the prices of her products. However, her next fashion line was going to be lower right off the get-go, but wasn't sure if it was going to work out. While relaxing, her phone went off and she immediately regretted not putting her phone on Do Not Disturb because Into The New World was her current ringtone. After trying to silence the phone, it fell onto the ground and just out of her reach. Hopefully Taeyeon didn't hear it... That was just blackmail waiting to happen.

As she started walking into the Kitchen, with Yeri in tow, Taeyeon couldn't help but wonder about Jessica's grievances about the other members. To her, if Jessica was truly heartbroken about it, she would have at least cleared their names when it came to the malicious rumors that made it look like the other eight had forced her out of the group. In addition, she would have stayed with them despite being under a different agency. But that didn't happen, now did it? To her, it seemed as if Jessica was ashamed about what happened between her, the group, but didn't want to face it as if she was running away and not wanting to take responsibility. Back then, the kid leader really thought they all had a bond. Sure, they didn't always get along due to their different work ethics, between her being a leader and Jessica's attitude, but at the end of the day, there was still a semblence of a bond and that was what counted. The group members, cherished managers, the fans, and their stylists that they befriended without much of a second thought. Jessica walked out on pretty much all of them and severed connections, not to mention she was now running for help when everything came crashing down. It all just made Taeyeon very...ang
