Their story is a bit misleading. Promise of hope, love, betrayal, and power.

Luhan was a prince set to be the king of Etheria, the one who was destined to lead the whole kingdom of Encantadia.

As his husband to be and one of his childhood friend was Byun Baekhyun, a prince of Lireo, promised to Luhan in order to strengthen the bond and the unity of the Kingdom of Encantadia.

His other childhood best friend was Zhang Yixing, the commander of Lirean, who is also serving as Baekhyun’s personal bodyguard.
And Finally, Kim Minseok, with his background still unknown to the others,-- he grew up to be the best hunter and garbage scavenger of Hathoria, who will be motivated to conquer for revenge and power. 

"I can't do it. As much as I want to, I can't do it. I can't do it because I love you, and you know I love you." 

"I know," he breathes out, hands coming up to hold the younger's face between his palms, gently cradling with a painful smile. "I know you love me, and I love you, but you're promised to someone else. You should know that I love you too."

"If you love me.. then why are you so quick to let go?" 

"It's because I love you, and one day-- you'd undestand." He forces another smile, leaning to barely brush his lips against the others, eyes closing when he pulls the younger down to press their foreheads together. "you'd understand why I have to let go. why I need to let go. and if one day, we'd meet again, and you're single- I would be the one to get on my knees, ask you to marry me, and sweep you off your feet. But right now, you have a duty to do. There's a beautiful man waiting for you..."

And with that, he places a lingering kiss on the younger's lips, praying- hoping that their one day would come.
