The door clicked open followed by the distant noise of heavy, tired steps resounding in your apartment. You hurried to the door, knowing it was your best friend who had just come back from being with the girl he loved the most. You were surprised to see him standing just a few meters by the door, completely still and staring blankly into emptiness while drenched with rain. On the edge of his lips were traces of red lipstick, but in his eyes was only darkness pooling. Tears crystalized into his lashes as he silently cried. The hair was disheveled by the rainstorm ongoing outside and his cheeks pale. As he locked gazes with you- it looked like his soul had left his body, leaving him to suffer the unbearable numbness.
