I've gotten a lot of questions about what I meant in the foreword in regards to my bullet points regarding romanticizing, objectification, and etc, and I realized that it would be better for me to clarify just in case. Of course, I will further expand at the end of the fic, but some of these points would be beneficial to keep in mind while reading the story:
I've seen females in fanfics be shamed for having active lives and etc, or choosing to get involved with males. I've seen any and all of their actions being twisted to be romantic, even if they are done with cold and shrewd intent. This fic has a character that includes pushing away her physical needs, and her actions aren't related to her own personal pleasure. And I want to make it clear that the OC in this fic separates any sort of physical contact from romance. This is fairly obvious even in the first chapter, but just in case.
Male characters are often excused from their poor, harmful, or toxic actions for the reason of them being attractive. That's romanticizing their actions! If the said male objectifies someone, affects someone's mental health, that's not something that should sought after. Those actions are incredibly toxic. In this fic, Sehun isn't just a "bad boy." He's a criminal. He has broken the law. Don't glorify that into something romantic. Downplaying his negative actions is normalizing them, and that's what this fic is fighting against.
There is also a lot of underlying discussion
