For Now (Stay)

Description

“I don’t want a lot from you right now,” Joohyun begins softly. “I’m just asking for tonight,” she utters as the silence that follows stretches on. Hoping that Seulgi gets it, that she knows what is going on and what is going to happen. That Joohyun isn’t playing pretend that everything is fine and when they wake up, it will all be okay.

She’s not that naïve.

At least, not anymore.

Foreword

There is no spark this time, only the remains of a woman seemingly out of breath, with nothing left to give.

Nothing left to show.

Nothing in the world that seems to make her want to gasp for air and relive who she once was. 

This is the result of pent up writer's block, past experiences and frustration piled up to this sort of nonsense oneshot. I just really wanted to write about hurt, pain, anger, frustration, and hopelessness all at once in a way that probably hits close to home.
I hope you'll find time to read it, and leave a comment if you have something to say. It doesn't really make much sense and isn't even that long, but I hope it will be tolerable.

I would rate this M, but the (minor) ual content is not very explicit, so I'll keep it unrated for now.

Stay By BlackPink and Body Talk by Red Velvet, inspired this seulrene fic.

Chapter 1: This is so sad. I actually cried while reading this. :')

I love how we're only given glimpses of their relationship, but we're still able to conclude that as a couple, Seulgi and Irene also had their moments.

"I don't love you anymore" will probably be one of the most heartbreaking phrases you'll ever hear from someone you love. It's like even if you want to do something to stop them from leaving, you can't do anything because what other choice do you have?

This was a great read. Thanks for writing this!

PS: It's raining where I live and I think the weather added to the melancholic vibe this story gives off.
