About us
Here at amethyst you will find wonderful fanfic recommendations handpicked by me, Lina, for their well written and interesting plot, characters, and originality. I will also accept requests fo reviewing. 
 
 
Rules
 
1 | I do not read or Yuri fanfiction, not because I am against it, but because I simply prefer OC fanfiction. Therefore all recommendations will be of OC or friendship fanfics.

2 | If you want to recommend or request fanfics to be reviewed, please follow the guide below for formatting. 

3 | For reviewing, I will rate each of the following categories out of 10 points and I will write a blurb over why I rated it the way I did. I have quite a few years of experience in helping people edit and reviewing their writing. 
 
4 | If you chose review, please be aware that I will charge 5kp for every 5,000 words read. So for instance, for  a 20,000 word story I will charge 20kp to review and it will be like that with the word count rounding to the nearest 5,000 words.

Love & War

This is one of the best EXO fics out there, and in my opinion possibly one of the best Kai fics out there. At this point I have probably re-read this story about four times and every single time I fall in love with it again. The entire historical setting is so well crafted (even the clothes were given careful thought) and in a setting such as the korean war, it is easy to get caught up in the "black/white" nature that it can take. Here, however, it makes the reader think of how the nature of war really is. There is no true 'bad' and 'good' side, there really is just people at the very center of the conflict and they are the ones that are really affected. Everyone's human, and this story does really well in showing that. This fic is so good it has probably been recommended a million times over (something it really does deserve), but if you haven't read it, I implore you to go read it now. Better yet, you can support the author by buying the paper back or kindle book which includes tons of bonus goodies.
