Hot Chocolate

“It’s already 9. Your ex didn’t show up again. This is the 3rd week.”

“That’s good, right? Why do you seem upset?”

“I… does that mean I don’t have to go here on Mondays anymore?”

“That’s entirely up to you.”

“…”

“Huh, I’m glad my ex finally got the message.”

“What message?”

“That I’m all yours.”

“On Mondays?”

“And Tuesdays. And Wednesdays, and Thursdays and-mmm.”

“…”

“…”

“Every day?”

“Mhmm. Even before and after 7pm. Wherever in the world.”

“All mine?”

“All yours.”

“No more exes and random hickeys?”

“No more. I’m sorry.”

“I’m just kidding, Minari.”

“No, really, I’m sorry. I messed up. You didn’t deserve that. You’ve been so good to me and—”

“Hey, it’s all good. Don’t worry.”

“I’ll make it up to you. I promise.”

“Just smile and all my worries are gone.”

“You’re such a loser.”

“Ah, but I get to kiss you a lot and hold your hand when I want to. That makes me the biggest winner in the universe.”

“I hate you.”

“No, you don’t.”

“I’m going to tell you something. But you can’t be annoying about it.”

“Last time you said something like that, I got to be your fake girlfriend once a week. I like this. Go on.”

“Just don’t be annoying about it.”

“No promises, Ms. Manager.”

“Okay. I might kinda love you. A lot.”

“Oh, come on, babe. I’ve been waiting months for this. You can do better than that.”

“Stop grinning like an idiot.”

“You drive me crazy, Ms. Manager, you know that?”

“The feeling’s mutual.”

“How about we try the whole love confession again, but more romantic?”

“Fine. Shut up. The L-word scares me, but the thing is… okay, it’s like this: I want to make hot chocolate for you every morning and give you head every night. Even if it isn’t a Monday. Or 7pm. If that’s not love, I don’t know what it is. Is that romantic enough for you?”

“I love you. Though I think that’s been pretty obvious for a while now.”

“I love you, too. Even if you’re the biggest loser in the world.”

“How about we have dinner at your place tonight? Like we used to do.”

“Depends. Do I still get a like last time?”

“Get me drunk enough and we’ll see. Maybe you can kiss me again, too, and pretend you don’t remember the next day.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you don’t forget.”
