When we first met nine years ago, you told me that on the day of your twenty-first birthday, you'd disappear. I laughed at you and thought that it was one of those stupid pickup lines that men often tried to use to pick up girls. I gave you a chance and when we went on a date to that little ice cream shop as teenagers, I knew that you were going to be the one. 

But I didn't know that it wouldn't last.
