Happiness was an understatement to what Jungwoo was feeling right now.

Never in his life had he seen a bigger amount of food laid in front of him as Lucas kept on ordering dishes after dishes. Lucas felt relieved that he was able to make it up to the apple of his eye after yesterday’s problem, though he was worried that Jungwoo might be a little too excited. The smaller’s eyes had never shifted from the plate of barbecue ribs ever since the waiter had placed it on their table. Not even once had Jungwoo commented on Lucas’s appearance, one that he had put a lot of thought in. Lucas had spent all afternoon trying to get his hair to curve in the most flattering way with a nice, little pomade. He had even worn the latest Gucci sweater that had all his fans desperately drooling for him. But judging by the way Jungwoo’s eyes were glazing over the sight of the food, it seems as though the ribs were winning over Lucas in terms of getting Jungwoo’s love.

With an exasperated sigh, Lucas pulled the plate of ribs towards him and started to cut it into smaller, bite-sized pieces.  Hey, if he can't impress Jungwoo with his looks, he might as well impress him with the food, am I right?

Without another thought, Lucas began to feed Jungwoo the succulent meat. Normally, Jungwoo would pout and whine about how the other was babying him (an irony, I know), but he was too overcome with hunger to even realize what the other was up to as he mindlessly opened up his mouth.

“Cas-ya, this is soooooooooo good!” Jungwoo mumbled with his mouth full, pretty eyes closing as he lets out a moan of appreciation out. All of Lucas’s frustration washed away as he hears the nickname. Lucas smiled to himself as he sees Jungwoo nibbling on his food cutely.

“You should try some too, cas-ya!” Jungwoo said as he carefully pulled some meat onto his fork before placing it in front of Lucas’ mouth, which he gladly took. Lucas’ heart bubbled with feelings as he sees Jungwoo clapping his hands like a seal, happy that he managed to do something for the other too.

Cas-ya.

Lucas could live with that.

 “Isn’t that good, cas-ya?” Jungwoo asked, eyes rolling backward as he continued to savour the smoky taste of the perfectly good ribs. He was so glad that he didn’t reject Lucas’ idea of coming here. The food was amazing, the ambience is great, and the company…it was perfect.

“Yeah. Not as good as you, though.” Lucas smirked as he threw in a wink and went back to cutting Jungwoo’s food for him. Jungwoo almost choked on the beef as he stared wide-eyed at the blonde. The taste of the ribs in his mouth suddenly forgotten as Jungwoo blushed madly and chose to ignore the other.

“Jungwoo, can I ask you something?”

“Wh-what is it?”

“Were you always this cute?”

That was it.

Jungwoo was having a full on bug-eyed moment as the other flirted with him so openly. Now, it was quite common for Kim Jungwoo to hear people calling him cute, but from Lucas…it was just…different. Lucas bellowed out in laughter as he sees his dinner company looking as red as a tomato, spluttering out words to respond.

“Ya-ya, Lucas. I’m not cute. I’m handsome.”

“Why can’t you be both, Jungwoo-ah?” Having had enough of this embarrassing but heart-fluttering moment, Jungwoo decided to ask Lucas a question that had been on his mind for quite some time.

“Cas-ya, can I ask you something too?”

“Fire away.”

“Were you always this…flirty? With others too?”

“Wae, Jungwoo-ah? Are you jealous?”

“NO. N-no, I mean no why would I be jea-pfft, me? Jealous? No way ahahhaha I mean it’s not as if we are dating or anything pfft I’m definitely not jealous Wong Lucas, I’m just merely curious, that’s all there is yeah I’m just-“

“I was kidding Jungwoo.” Lucas could almost laugh at how defensive Jungwoo was being, but he couldn’t help but to feel disappointed too that Jungwoo treats him as a friend, and nothing more. “However, to answer your question, I’ve never so openly flirted with others. Mainly because…I’ve never dated anyone before.” Lucas gave a nervous laugh as he focused on twirling the fork in his hands.

“You have never dated anyone?! THE Wong Lucas, the kingka of the school, the heartthrob of many, had never dated anyone?” Jungwoo just couldn’t believe it. Lucas had been giving him a vibe of a Casanova ever since they met, but the blonde had never actually dated anyone?? Lucas just keeps on surprising Jungwoo every single day, bothering his heart in ways that Jungwoo didn’t know he likes to be bothered in.

“YA SHHHH! Are you trying to get the whole world to know? I still have a reputation to upkeep, sheesh.” Jungwoo stifled a laughter as he saw how flustered the other was. Jungwoo decides that Wong Lucas might be a little cute like this.

“Ya Kim Jungwoo, don’t you know how to eat properly?” Lucas nagged as he raised his thumb and wiped the sauce off the corner of Jungwoo’s lips before it off as if that was the most normal thing to do in the world.

Okay, scratch that. Jungwoo decided that Wong Lucas was the cutest doofus he had ever lay his eyes upon. And he couldn’t help himself but to fall for the other. But then again, who would?
